A Fine Mess

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE AIN’T HERE?!”

Inuyasha roared at the servant.

“He took off to save his Mother mutt face. He can resurrect people later.”

Inuyasha was furious at the mess Sesshoumaru left behind. Another part of their inheritance completely destroyed and their people left for dead with Sesshoumaru being responsible for killing some of them.

“His Mom is like a great demon, greater than Sesshoumaru. I think she can handle a few measly cats Kouga. I mean this is the demon that gave birth to the asshole so I doubt that she is a weakling.”

Saia spoke up in defense of her Queen.

“Queen Luna did fight, but the witch Kamarasui is formidable. She collared our Queen while she was in battle with the numerous cats. We were outnumbered Sire, but our Queen is a dainty creature who has not had to battle in years. She fought with all her heart and soul for us. I am certain had she not been contending with so many cats she would never have been captured.”

Kouga shrugged.

“Sounds to me like you left the fighting all on her. If you loved her so much all of you would have fought harder. Seems like you need some firm leadership around this place.”

Inuyasha growled at Kouga.

“Will ya shut up?! I’m in charge here and now that we know where Sesshoumaru went we can track him down. Knowing my brother he probably killed em all and is just fucking around. I just know something is up with him, I can feel it.”

Saia just bowed politely and went back to her business. It was up to the Lords to figure out what to do now and the future looked dim if this was indeed Sesshoumaru’s new mate.

Sesshoumaru snarled and tried to push his powers out to remove the collar. He was basically left alone other then the shackles upon him since no one wanted to get too close to the pissed off diayouki. However Chise every once in a while checked on his chains to insure they were secure.

“You know fighting is futile.”

Chise scolded as Sesshoumaru growled at her, but was unable to do anything more since the collar made her his master.

“I will escape and you will die.”

Sesshoumaru stated angrily.

“Whatever you say good looking. Either way you are mine pretty boy until I sell your sweet ass to the highest bidder and with a body like yours as well as that gorgeous face you will make me a fortune.”

Sesshoumaru ignored Chise and concentrated on his escape.

“You are such a quiet one. I like that in a man. Too bad you are worth more to me monetarily otherwise I would be tempted to keep you and use you myself.”

Sesshoumaru was completely disgusted by that thought as he sat fuming at this whole situation. Chise moved closer to look at those pretty golden eyes.

“You are indeed a fine specimen of a man. I think I will sample the merchandise later.”

With that Chise walked away sashaying her hips suggestively as Sesshoumaru’s mind went into panic mode. He HAD to escape before that happened.

Togaou was tired after they had dug out as much as they could. His hands were battered and unfortunately the barrier just moved with them as though it had a life force of its own.

“Togaou I am tired. Let us stop for the night, we will try again tomorrow.”

Togaou didn’t want to stop though. He wanted to find them a way out now and sleep was the last thing on his mind.

“Rest Luna, I will continue trying to find us a way out. I shall meditate and then begin again.”

Tears formed in Luna’s eyes. Right now she needed a little comfort. They were trapped with the body of the cat demon who raped her on the floor. Her body ached and she didn’t want to sleep alone. She needed Togaou, but he was being stubborn as usual.

Togaou was so angry he couldn’t think straight. He wanted revenge for his family, but being in this cage prevented this action. How could he look at his sons, his dear wife, or his people if he could not get past a simple barrier? This was completely unacceptable.

Luna curled into a ball on the ground trying to get comfortable using her mokomokos to cushion her head and to use as a blanket. Her torn kimono barely covered her so it was going to be a cold night without being able to use all her fur in her true form to keep her small body warm.

Togaou sat in the middle of the room and started his meditation trying to concentrate although it was difficult with the smell. Had he been able to smell properly he would have smelled the distress of his wife, but unfortunately he did not.

While Togaou meditated Luna fell into a fitful sleep. She had nightmares of her people being skinned before her and of the rape she suffered. It wasn’t until she started whimpering and wining in her sleep that Togaou snapped out of his trance to notice his beloved’s distress.

Going over to his wife he picked her up in his arms and got clocked with a right hook to the jaw as Luna started to struggle in her sleep.

“Don’t touch me! Get off of me!”

Togaou growled and held her down for a moment until finally she awoke.

“Togaou!”

Luna suddenly went lax as Togaou nuzzled her gently.

“Yes it is only me my love. No one will hurt you while I am here.”

Luna felt him release her arms as she wrapped herself around her husband. Togaou was shocked and slightly aroused by this act, but he knew this was not the time to give into his baser feelings.

“Togaou mark me again and make love to me. I do not wish to smell of that beast any longer.”

Togaou was once again in shock. She wanted him. Joy filled his heart after so many years of living without his love. She had spurned him years ago after finding out about his many lovers, turning him away from her light.

“Are you certain you want this, my love?”

Luna nodded yes as she pulled Togaou down rendering him speechless with a passionate kiss knowing that she needed him now to help chase away the nightmares. Togaou was her comfort, her protector, and the only man to steal her heart. The past was over with now and she had pushed him to love Izayoi. It was time to forgive and move forward.
