Chapter 20

Kagome woke up this time feeling better than she had in a long while. She tried to sit up but found she couldn't move. She moved her head and found Shippou and Rin snuggled up to her front and from the heat touching her back she guessed Sesshoumaru was behind her. She turned her head to just make sure and found herself looking into his golden eyes. She smiled and whispered softly, "Good morning."

Sesshoumaru looked down at Kagome smiling up at him. "Good morning." He didn't know how to deal with her. He had expected her to get mad about being mated to him but she hadn't screamed once. And now she was being almost sweet. He looked down at her and the children and saw that they were starting to stir.

Kagome felt Shippou move around in front of her and she turned to face him. She laughed when he sat up and yawned. He was so cute when he yawned, his little fangs just peaking out of his mouth.

"Good morning Shippou." Shippou stopped yawning and looked at Kagome and smiled at her before looking behind her to Sesshoumaru. When he nodded his head to him Shippou threw himself at Kagome.

"Oh Okaa-san I was so worried. I didn't know what happened but Otou-san told me to run and hide with Rin and protect her so that's what I did. I am so glad you are better." He nuzzled into her neck while Kagome rubbed his back and made comforting noises. Rin had woken up while Shippou was telling Kagome how worried he was. She couldn't let him get all the attention.

"I was worried to Okaa-san." She too threw herself into Kagome's arms and started to cry. Kagome sat up and held both children to her. She looked at Sesshoumaru for some kind of help but all he did was lay down and watch everything. Men. A little while later she managed to get both of the children quieted down.

"Kid's I'm fine. Nothing bad has happened." She turned around to glare at Sesshoumaru. "If you don't count my mating Sesshoumaru that is." Sesshoumaru growled at her comment. He sat up and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"You should be thankful that I know you are jesting." Kagome couldn't help but laugh at the look on his face.

"How can you be so sure?" He sighed and leaned down to Kagome's ear.

"Did you forget so soon Kagome that I can read your mind?" He made sure that his breath caressed her ear as he spoke and he could smell the scent of her arousal caress his nose. "That and the fact that I barely touch you and you get aroused."

Kagome knew she couldn't argue with his reasoning. It wasn't her fault that he had awoken her sexual urges that until the other evening had been dormant. Well they were dormant since her relationship with Inuyasha had fizzled away. Which was about two years ago. And most eighteen year olds her age had many sexual encounters unlike her. She had a lot to make up for and Sesshoumaru was just the one to help her with it.

Sesshoumaru heard her thoughts run through his head and almost laughed. So she wanted my help with her urges. I can handle that. Just thinking about some of the things he could do to help her brought his member to life. He rubbed himself against her hip that was settled against his thigh.

Kagome felt something hard rub against her hip and sighed. Sure he's ready now and the children are here. It's not like we can do anything with innocent eyes looking on.

"Hey kids why don't you go see if you can catch us some fish for breakfast." She watched them both take off for the river. Once they were out of earshot she turned around to face Sesshoumaru.

"As much as I would love to deal with your problem there is absolutely no way to do so with the children around." Sesshoumaru growled lowly to Kagome and brought her to his lap. He leaned down and kissed her. If this were all he got until they got out of the orb he would make due with it. He wouldn't like it but he would make do with it. Besides he could always send the kids away again.

"When we get out of this orb your not going to have that excuse because I have a whole castle of servants to watch them. Let's see you get away from me then."

"Darn, with all those servant's I guess I won't have any excuses then." Kagome smiled up at Sesshoumaru.

"You are so asking for it my mate." Sesshoumaru growled and flipped Kagome on her back and nuzzled her neck. With a last lick on his mark he stood up and left her there to cool off.

"Oh, that was so mean. Just you wait till I mark you. Then I can get even with you for that." Kagome wanted to take off all her clothes and jump in the cold water to cool off but she couldn't do that. Why couldn't she? Shippou had seen her without her clothes before and Rin was a girl and it's not like Sesshoumaru hadn't seen her before.

With that in mind she grabbed her bath supplies from her backpack and headed to the river. By the time she got there they had caught two fish. She moved down river a little bit from where they were fishing and removed her clothes. She walked into the cold river and sighed in relief when it cooled her heated flesh. Well it helped a little any way. Once she was cool she set about washing her clothes and her body.

Sesshoumaru heard her threat and laughed to himself. I will look forward to that. He went to the river to keep watch over the children while Kagome composed herself. He saw her walking toward them carrying her bathing supplies. She must mean to make the kids bathe before the meal. He leaned back against his tree and was shocked when she moved down the river just a little bit and undressed then walked into the river.

He couldn't move now if he wanted to. The sight of her bending over in the river to wash her hair had made him so hard he would be lucky if he could move in a couple of days. If she kept that up the kids would be in the forest quicker than she could blink. He watched as she took a rag and rubbed soap into it then washed her breasts. He could feel his beast trying to take over and he fought it. He barely won the battle but he could tell that his eyes were still slightly tinted red. How could she tease him like that? He tried to turn his head but couldn't look away from the beautiful sight.

Shippou turned to show Sesshoumaru another fish that him and Rin had caught and noticed the blank stare on his face and his reddish eyes. He turned to find out what he was starring at and found his mother bathing in the river. I think Rin and I need to go pick some berries. He grabbed Rin's hand and walked up to Sesshoumaru.

"Sesshoumaru, Rin and I are going to go pick some berries. We will try not to be gone too long." His other Otou-san had looked like that at his other Okaa-san and then they would disappear into the woods for a little while and then they would return to their den with smiles on their faces. He didn't know what they did but he wondered if he and Rin left them alone for a little while if Sesshoumaru would have a smile on his face. He doubted it but it would be worth going into the forest to find out.

Sesshoumaru broke away from watching Kagome when Shippou and Rin came to stand in front of him. He heard Shippou say that him and Rin were going to pick some berries and they would return in a little while.

"Be careful Shippou and watch over Rin." Shippou nodded and him and Rin went into the forest. Now how am I supposed to keep Rin occupied for a while? She looses interest in things easily.

Rin had no idea why Shippou wanted to go pick berries. They had eaten berries all day yesterday and she was getting really tired of them. Maybe she could find some mushrooms or something like that.

Sesshoumaru waited till he couldn't see the children and then he waited till their scent disappeared a little bit more. When he could barely smell them he looked to the river and found his mate sitting on a rock in the middle of the river drying her hair in the sun. "I think the children will be back soon. We need to get to shore and get dressed." Sesshoumaru held his hand out to Kagome.

"I couldn't move if I wanted to Sesshoumaru." Kagome smiled up at him and gasped when he picked her up and carried her to shore. She felt herself falling when he sat her down to pick up his clothes. Sesshoumaru had thought she was joking when she said she couldn't move but when he set her down her legs collapsed under her. He caught her before she hit the ground and picked her back up.

"What's wrong Kagome? I didn't hurt you did I?"

"Nothing like that. You just wore me out is all. Let me rest for a few minutes and then I will be fine." She smiled up at him before cuddling up to his tail and falling asleep.

Sesshoumaru picked up her kimono that she had hung out to dry earlier and found that it was still wet so he once again let her borrow his haori and dressed her in it without waking her and then put her down on the sleeping bag. He returned to the river to retrieve his hakama and the fish that the children had caught and returned to camp. He put the fish to cook on the fire and waited for Shippou and Rin to return. He owed the little kitsune for giving him this break with Kagome. Now what would a kitsune want?
