Three More Come Through

Chapter Nineteen

Sango sat on the bed next to Kagome once more, looking at another book. Koenma had taken the other to find out what he could about the discovery she had made and would report back tomorrow. Night was begining to come in, leaving both girls weary. Sango felt refreshed after taking a nice long shower. Kagome on the other hand was antsy and being annoying.

"I still don't like the fact that Shiori left." She said once again.

"Yes, you've said that already. Like five times, I'm keeping count." Sango glanced up from her book. "Out with it, why are you so worried?"

"Who says I'm worried?"

"I do and your actions. You are fidgeting worse than a virgin on her wedding night." Sango saw the blush spread across her face. "Oh, you can't be serious. You think Hiei might come on to you again?"

"No."

"You do, that's why you've been attached to my hip all day. You are worried he is going to make a pass at you. Just tell him to get lost." Sango went back to her book, she couldn't help Kagome with her love life. Hell Sango couldn't make sense of her own.

"That's just it, I'm not sure if I want to tell him to." Kagome frowned, she couldn't believe she had just admitted to it. "Don't look at me like that. I know, I know. I still love Inuyasha but he's gone. Do you think I should feel bad about not wanting to spend the rest of my life alone. Is it wrong for me to want to be happy?"

"No, you have every right to want to be happy. But with Hiei, I can't see it."

"Hey, I'm not dissing you because you like Kurama." Kagome pouted.

"I don't like him. He was just someone I knew before I came through that well." She shut the book she was working on. "Look Kagome do what you want. I'm not trying to sound mean, I loved Inuyasha as a friend. But he chose to keep his promise to Kikyo. He went with her willingly, no one forced him. He's gone, so is Miroku. We must do what we can to continue on living."

"I guess you are right. Then why are you in our room instead of his?"

"Unlike Hiei, Kurama has shown no interest in me. The staring didn't count because we both know why he was doing it. But if that was your way of telling me to give you some privacy; all you had to do was ask." She grabbed the book and headed out the room.

"Thats not what I meant. Don't leave me alone."

Sango went to the living room and cut on a lamp, taking a seat on the couch. She had no idea where the other two were. Running a hand through her hair, she suddenly felt anxious. For several minutes she tried to read the book in her lap but couldn't focus on it. Something was definitely bothering her but what? "Kagome." She screamed for the girl and only had to wait a minute.

"Yeah, I know." Kagome came out with two men following behind her. She felt an odd tingling in her soul, like what it felt when she use to go through the well. She'd only felt it one more time after it had closed. And she'd gone home to find Sango in the well. "The well, someone's come through."

"See look, it's glowing." Shippo sat on the edge peering over.

"Yes, I see. What do you think, should we try?" Miroku leaned over. "We shouldn't debate too long it might close."

"I say we go, I can see Kagome again." Shippo was all for it.

"Yes but we might not be able to get back through." He picked Kirara and Shippo up. If they were going through it had to be now. Luckily Shippo had beed sitting here like he usually did every evening mourning for the two women. He'd come for the other two at seeing the glowing in the bottom.

"I don't care, I want Kagome." The kit whined. "Jump already before it closes."

"Very well." The houshi leapt, he was surrounded by a bright ligt. His skin tingled as he fell, he didn't care for the feeling. His feet hit the ground once more. He looked up to see the changes, there was something blocking the sky. And a ladder. "I think we made it Shippo."

"Yay, let's go find the others."

Miroku stepped out of the well house into a yard. "This must be Kagome's home." He pinched himself, he had to be dreaming. Deciding it best not to just stand there, he walked up to the building. He lightly tapped on the door, several minutes passed before a boy opened the door.

Souta stared at the strange man. "Yes."

"Hello, I'm looking for either Kagome or Sango."

"Um, who are you?"

"Miroku, an old friend you could say." He didn't know what else he could say.

"They are gone, they are staying somewhere else for awhile. I can call them if you want." Souta said.

"KAGOME!" The kit jumped out his arms and started running, followed by the small neko.

Kagome was the first to run up the steps leading to the shrine. She heard her name being called, she opened her arms in time to catch the kit. "Shippo." She held him close to her, tears coming from happiness. "It's so good to see you again. How did you get here."

Sango stopped when Kirara jumped into arms. "Kirara." She felt the two men stop behind her. "How did you two get here?"

"We all came through the well." Shippo informed them. "It started glowing so we jumped in."

"We?" Kagome asked.

"Yeah, Miroku is back there talking to some boy."

Sango promptly dropped the neko, just as she saw him. He'd come through also, he was here. He smiled at her as she ran across the distance. He dropped his staff as she throw herself in his arms.

"Sango," He knew he was crying but couldn't stop the tears from falling. "I finally have you back, I was so worried."

Hiei watched the display and felt the fox tense up beside him. Whomever the man was, the fox seemed to recognize him. Nor did he seem too happy about his sudden appearance. "Who is he?" He asked outloud.

"Her husband." Kagome wasn't sure how she felt about it either. True she loved him as a friend but him being here changed a lot. She didn't think he was the right man for Sango either. She looked over at Kurama, he really didn't look too happy. "Well, we have more help now. Maybe we should head back."

"Very well." Hiei picked the girl up, "Lets head back, come on fox. They will arrive back safely I'm sure."

Sango pulled out his arms when she heard Hiei. "Kirara." The neko ran up to her and transformed. "Get on houshi, we'll explain everything later." He climbed on behind her, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Don't push it."

Hiei watched them take off into the air, "Hn. Stop scowling fox."

"Yeah, you can just steal her from him." Kagome boasted. Both men looked down at her with an odd look. "Keh."
