A/N: Sorry it took so long for this next chapter to come out. I was suffering from really bad case writers block, plus irl stuff pretty much dropped on me like a ton of bricks.
Anyway hope you enjoy this and please rate and review!

-Chapter two-
Boys will be boys
Usually he stayed at max two days and the longest he had stayed was four. But to everyone's surprise Sesshomaru actually managed to stay longer than he had ever done before, and had stayed in Edo for a week. It also seemed since confiding in InuYasha, the unseen and unsaid bond between them had grown stronger. (not to mention he had become more laid back, and had allowed everyone to see him smile and laugh even!) The hanyo had even been so kind as to stop teasing the poor lord with his pup as much as he did. Instead he let him be and spend the time he had with Rin, knowing that at any moment he would go, and his pack would be the one to pick up the pieces.
To InuYasha that would be the hardest part; having to comfort a broken heart and not have any contact with the dai yokai he had come to care and call brother for twenty or more years. By which time his son and Sango and Miruko's kids would be grown up, Kagome, Sango and Miruko would reaching their early forties and Rin in her late thirties with a mate and offspring of her own.
The hanyo knew he could handle the time... but wasn't sure about everyone else. He like his brother was immortal to an extent and aged like one. So while it would be like an eternity to the others... it would barely scratch time for him. He was after all two hundred and fifty seven years now and barely looked in his early twenties.
They didn't openly admit it but that night Sesshomaru confided in InuYasha... it changed something between them. For a rare moment they were actually brothers, not siblings that only tolerated each other. The half demon saw a side of the demon lord he had never seen before. He didn't like it and didn't want others to see it. His brother was the ruler of the Western lands and couldn't afford to show any weakness. This much InuYasha knew and respected. Which in turn Sesshomaru was grateful beyond words and knew that nothing needed to be said. For once they both knew how each other felt on the subject
---------------------------------------------------------------
As dawn's gentle rays lit the village a cockerel called to let all know that morning was here and it was a new day. Sesshomaru was the first as usual to wake in Kaede's hut noticing once again Rin had been sneaky and cuddled up to him while he slept and slept with her head in his lap AGAIN despite being told not to.
The young miko yawned and rubbed her eyes as she woke and smiled as she looked up at him. "Good morning my lord... I hope you slept well." She grinned knowing he was probably annoyed that she disobeyed him.
"Rin... you do remember what I asked you NOT to do a few nights ago don't you?"
"Yes... you told me not to sleep with you."
"And you remember why I asked you?"
"Yeah... but... but... I like cuddling up to you when you sleep. You're nice and warm and-"
"No ifs or buts, no more sleeping with me. You are too old to be doing such thing and it is not appropriate."
"Ok..."
Sesshomaru then stood and left the hut as Kaede woke, just as he had done for the past few days. As he stepped outside saw InuYasha sitting on top of his hut dosing off, until his ears flicked at the sound of Yasashiku trying to wake Kagome up, to which he dashed in and quickly hushed the child. Which was understandable considering while he was there it had been discovered that he was to become uncle again. So his brother wanting her to rest, take it easy and worrying over would seemed warranted... apart from the fact she was silly only in the early stages and wasn't even physically showing she was carrying a child.
Sesshomaru wasn't around much or for the birth of his nephew but from what he could gather from the hanyo's behaviour Kagome must of had a tough time with their first offspring. Which was understandable given where she was from and the fact she had birthed a son that was part yokai. Then again all human mothers seemed to struggle when they gave birth to such children.
All the western lord had seen since being there is; once in a while, during the mornings Kagome rushing off every so often and being sick, which he knew was normal for human females to do during pregnancy. However even though InuYasha had come to learn this from the first time round he still was overly protective of his wife. Which Sesshomaru couldn't fault him for considering how young he was when he lost his human mother.
The silver haired yokai was just walking off to the shrine when he heard InuYasha and Kagome arguing once more. Something he had grown used to hearing after staying in Edo for so long, but no matter how he tried could not block it out. It was times like these where he wished his ears weren't so sensitive and able to hear such stupid arguments every morning.
"I am fine!" Kagome snapped.
"But you don't look it and you're still in bed." The hanyo replied in a quite concerned tone.
"That's because I just woke up... you dumbie now let me get dressed and sorted."
"Are you sure you don't want to stay in bed and take it easy?"
"INUYASHA SIT!"
"HA that don't work on me any more you stupid wench! It's been six years and you just can't help yourself can you?!?."
"So what... I bet I can think of a few things that would work on you!"
"Like what?!?"
*SLAP*
After the slap and small dog whimper that came from his young brother Sesshomaru shook his head and laugh slightly, as he continued walking undisturbed up the stairs of the shrine. Something he had grown to do while he was there.
One of the reasons why, was because the morning view of Edo from that hight was beautiful, and he knew after he left the village he wouldn't see it again for at lest another twenty or so years.
As much as he would miss this place Rin and what he had come to call family, he felt the decision he had made was the right one, and no matter how hard it would be he would stick to the plan. In his mind it was the right thing to do for his surrogate daughter, he was doing it out of love for her and that when he returned she would understand why he left her... at lest that what he kept telling himself, despite his heart saying other wise.
As the inu yokai stood there at the top of the shrine, in deep thought and familiar scene hit his nose interrupting this time.
"Uncly... Sessy" A familar voice said between, strained breaths as the scent came closer and closer.
The western lord let out a big sigh before walking back to the first step seeing his nephew literary climbing up the stairs. Obviously the stairs were still to big for him to walk up, but that didn't seem to stop him getting up them.
"Yasashiku do your mother and father know you are coming here?" He asked softly not knowing if the pup had permission or had just wondered off after him. (again) However he got no answer just a mischievous grin and playful giggle. Which reminded him of Rin when she was but a child...
"I take that as a no..." He replied with another sigh, as he picked him up and held him in his arms.
He had to admit that even though he hated the thought of yokai breeding with humans, there was something about the new life out of it that always had him curious. And it was more of why... why would people be so reckless as to give life to children that would never have a normal life or belong anywhere.
For some reason even though his nephew was the result of such union he found himself not caring about the decision InuYasha and Kagome had made to bring such children into the world. But he couldn't help that on some level be envious of his brother. Since he was able to achieve what he had wanted but denied himself to have. After all he was a pure breed and he was intending to keep it that way...
"Lets take you back down to your parents shall we... they are probably worried about you." Sesshomaru said as he slowly walked down the stairs with Yasashiku in his arms, playing with his long, soft and silky silver hair. He had only walked half way down when InuYasha came bolting up the stairs to greet them.
"So this is where you wondered of to." He frowned as he stopped a few steps away.
"He managed to climb up the stairs. I would suggest keeping an eye on this one. He seems to take after you.. a lot." The dai yokai said with a smirk, before walking back down the stairs with his nephew still in his arms.
"Hey what's that suppose to mean?"
"I'll let you figure that one out for yourself."
"Keh... always saying crap then not backing it up... typical." InuYasha snorted as he walked down with them. Finding it slightly odd that Sesshomaru didn't shove his nephew back into his arms as usual.
They had only walked a short distance before they reached InuYasha and Kagomes hut. Which Sesshomaru just walked in with no warning to Kagome who was just cleaning out the fire ashes, from the night before.
"I believe this little adventurer belongs here with you." The western lord said as he place the young pup down on the floor, and slowly eased his small hands off his hair.
"Oh thank you lord Sesshomaru. I wondered where he had gone and did send InuYasha to go look." Kagome replied as she looked at him some what surprised that he wasn't being his usual annoyed self and that it was him that handed her son over instead of her husband.
"I noticed. Bumped into him on our way back here... just be sure to keep an eye on him in future." He replied before leaving the hut.
He then began to walk back towards the shrine, ignoring the fact his brother was walking behind him. His arms folded in his fire rat kimono, looking at his back suspiciously as they walked in silence... until they reached the top of the shrine.
"Something wrong brother?" Sesshomaru asked as he carried on walking towards the forest.
"When?" InuYasha asked bluntly.
"When what?" He sighed as he paused and turned around to face him.
"Don't play innocent with me... when are you going to tell Rin and leave? It's been four days."
"Tonight after sun down... when everyone has been fed."
"And then that's it? We won't see you again?" The hanyo ask in a almost sad and disappointed tone. Part of him already knowing the answer.
"Only you will know where I will be... and unless her life ends or she is mated do not contact me or tell anyone where I am." Sesshomaru said coldly as he began to walk into the forest and sniffed a little.
"As you wish." InuYasha replied in a understanding tone as he followed his brother into the forest.
From how the lord was shifting through the greenery and sniffing the air, it indicated he was out to hunt. Which wasn't surprising considering he hadn't fed for since he got there.
InuYasha wasn't one to miss out of a bit of blood sport. Especially when Sesshomaru had turned it from normal hunt to a challenge as to who could kill the largest amount of prey within a time limit. That made things extra interesting and usually gave people in the village a good meat supply for a few days. So no one really complained.
"The waterfall clearing... and when the sun hits the centre of the sky..." Sesshomaru said with a playful smirk on his face.
"Bring it on!" InuYasha replied as he cracked his fingers with a wide grin on his mug.
And with that the competition started.
Anyone who was squeamish around blood and couldn't stand to see animals in pain were best not to watch such a violent, bloody, gory brotherly bonding. But the two of them didn't care if anyone saw them as nature intended. They just quickly and quietly dashed through the forest and slaughtered anything that could be classed as prey.
This would be the last time the two hunted together for a long time, is what they knew and this was their going away present to one another. But little did the brothers know that it would be the last time forever. The moments they had together now and over the past few years were going to be torn from them within hours of this joyful brotherly moment.
As the sun was in the middle of the sky Sesshomaru let out a low growl to indicate the end of the competition. Knowing InuYasha was close enough to hear. He then grabbed the Stag which he had just killed by it's throat and carried it to the waterfall clearing, throwing it onto the pile of wild life he had killed. Shortly after InuYasha came into the clearing with a wild boar and threw it into his pile.
"God damn it... you win again" The hanyo snorted.
"Well I do have a good 300 extra years over you dear brother." The inu yokai smirked.
"Feh..."
"Lets head back and let the villagers know of the bounty."
"I take it you fed?"
"You think my face would be tainted with blood for any other reason?"
"Forever the fucking perfectionist..."
"Of course."
And with that the two brothers made sure to hide their kills and Sesshomaru (taking pride in his flawless appearance) splashed his face with water to remove the crimson liquid was on his face. InuYasha didn't really care that he was covered in blood so just waited for his brother to finish cleaning up before making their way backing to the village.
Once there they were greeted by Yasashiku running towards them giggling, only to trip and fall over at their feet once he got to them. Surprisingly unlike most children he didn't cry just looked up at them and laughed, before InuYasha picked him up... forgetting for a moment that he was covered in animal blood.
"Silly child" He grin before poking his child's nose, making him giggle slightly.
"InuYasha... I think it's best if you and Yasashiku take a bath..." Sesshomaru said bluntly, as he stared at the now bloody father and son.
"Are you saying we smell?" The hanyo growled feeling slightly offended.
"No I am saying Kagome will more than likely be angry if she sees both you and Yasashiku covered in animal blood."
"Oh shit you're right!"
"Ommmmmmmm daddy said a naughty word... I'am tell mummy." The silver hair pup exclaimed as he tried to wriggle out of his fathers arms... but was unable due to the firm grip he was in.
"Looks like someone's up the creak without a paddle." Sesshomaru smirked.
"Oh can it!" InuYasha growled. "Erm... well you tell them we got the food while I go take Yasashiku for a bath... tell Kagome I'll be back in a bit..." He said obviously in a panicked tone.
Sesshomaru never answered... just shook his head as he tried not to laugh as he made his way towards InuYasha and Kagome's hut, while InuYasha ran off with his pup towards the nearby hot-spring. Both unaware of the drama that was about to unfold, tonight. Starting with the person the hanyo loved and held dearest to him...
