A Fine Mess

Inuyasha hated being helpless and so did Sesshoumaru. Both of them growled and struggled only to find themselves weakened to the point they could not move anymore.

Once they got to the village Inuyasha suddenly had a burst of energy as he kicked and screamed trying to get free. They were going to go after his wife.

Miroku pulled out his sutras and had them ready. He hoped that it would be enough as he faced the four demons and then he saw that Inuyasha was human. Looking at Sesshoumaru he was no better off. How was he going to fight them?

“Ah, a young monk this time. Handsome too. Do you want to play little one?”

Chise stated licking her lips. She loved to play with young things like this handsome monk and perhaps kill him later.

Miroku threw the sutra only to have a dagger thrown pinning his hand to the wall.

“That wasn’t nice.”

Kagome came out shooting an arrow into the ground purifying the area.

“Oooo….she is powerful. We can’t have that no matter how lovely she is.”

At that Inuyasha was held back as Daiki threw a sword in her direction. Ignoring the pain in his hand Miroku pulled, but it was too late. The blade went right through the priestess who slumped to the ground. Inuyasha screamed in horror.

“KAGOME!!!!!!!”

Inuyasha was held back by Akio as the poor man watched his wife fall to the ground dead blood pooling around her. Sesshoumaru growled and tried to fight his bonds, but no luck. Kagome, Inuyasha, and his pack were his to kill.

“Oh poor puppy…did she mean something to you?”

Chise cooed as she pulled the sword free of Kagome’s chest and went over to the monk.

“Sorry pretty boy, but you are both too powerful although I highly doubt you know your own powers.”

Shoving the sword into the monk and pulling out the dagger she walked away. Miroku hung like a writhing convulsing rag doll until he finally went still.

“Let’s leave this place there is nothing here except worthless humans. Daiki and Fusao, kill them all.”

Walking away from the slaughter Akio dragged Inuyasha back.

Inuyasha kicked and screamed as tears fell from his eyes. Sesshoumaru just sat silently fuming unable to do a damn thing and it was Inuyasha’s fault. If he hadn’t come along he would not have gotten distracted and none of this would have happened.

“Let me go ya bastard! I am going to kill you! Do you all hear me I am going to slaughter all four of you!”

Inuyasha screamed as he fought finally breaking free long enough to go over to Kagome’s body lifting her only for a second before he was once again dragged away.

“Kagome……”

Sesshoumaru almost felt sorry for his brother. He had tensaiga, but it was useless as long as he was under the spell. It was limited how much time he had to revive anyone and if it would even pulse to revive them he was unsure.

Inuyasha sat sobbing. His friend was dead and his wife. His beloved wife…….

Shippo watched in horror as his Mother was killed and sat shivering hiding hoping they wouldn’t find him under the stairs.

A hand reached under the boards and grasped the fox kit who struggled.

“Lemme go! Lemme go!”

Shippo screamed.

“Huh, a fox runt. Do you want him?”

Chise touched the fur. It was nice and soft.

“His fur would bring quite a price when he is older.”

Inuyasha felt something break within. They talked about them like they didn’t even exist other than as some property.

Shippo soon was collared too and Chise kept him in her arms petting him with Shippo bristling in fear and anger. The angrier he got though the weaker he became until he fell asleep.

“Such a cute thing. I think I will keep him for a while.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Inuyasha. The boy had already given up. He sat on his knees sobbing. Why wasn’t he fighting? Was it because he was human?

Sesshoumaru felt himself being lifted again by the large ebony haired black jaguar demon. His dark skin and penetrating emerald green eyes made Sesshoumaru uneasy.

“Well then we are not selling these three. I guess we should take them back.”

Daiki pulled at Inuyasha.

“Get up pup. Crying won’t bring her back. I thought she was an old hag boy.”

Inuyasha didn’t speak he just glared and then lunged at the demon who laughed.

“Such spirit! Indeed you will be a fun pet.”

Akio pulled Inuyasha back and knocked the boy unconscious.

“Quit playing with your pet. We have no time for this nonsense.”

Lifting the boy up they raced across the lands to their lair.
