Chapter 2
The Sky we Travel

The days flew by quickly and before they knew it they were boarding the plan. Kagome insisted she get the window seat heights was always something she loved. Though she would much rather be seeing this view from the back of Kirara.


’I guess the view from the plan will have to do.’ she thought as she sat down in her seat then buckled her belt. She knew the flight wasn’t long and that they would arrive in a few hours, Tahiti was not that far away from Japan.


“I love your mom’s friend!” Eri exclaimed as she say in one of the 4 seats available in their little compartment.


“Ya can you believe we have this area to ourselves!” Yuka added as she sat beside Eri.


“I know, we have to get her a thank you gift for this. She gave us her discount so we were able to afford this with what we would have paid for 1st. Class. This is their private suite there is only one other. What I can’t wait to see is our cabins. I had her reserve singles and made sure they were near each other. This is what cost the most we each spent nearly 4 grand on the rooms alone and that was on top getting it wholesale with her discount taken out. She said we would be surrounded by wildlife yet not excluded from the town. So it is perfect! It has the natural scene that Kagome wanted AND it is not to far from all the clubs and beaches!” Ayumi stated pointer finger in the air waving around happily.


“This is going to be one hell of a trip! I can feel it.” Kagome stated smiling at her friends.


Poor Kagome did not know how true that statement was.

Yusuke, Keiko, Kurama, and Kuwabara all filed on to the plan getting to their seats and out of public view as fast as they could. Well Yusuke was and Keiko was being dragged, Kurama followed along willingly never really one for crowds anyway, and Kuwabara followed quickly because he did not want to get left behind.


“Geez Yusuke can you slow down your pulling my arm nearly out of its socket!” Keiko complained while attempting to gain her arm back.


Yusuke eased up on pulling her so hard, but held fast to her hand. Yes he wanted to get to his seat fast, but did not want to lose her in the crowd. Once he found their seats they piled into the room.


Putting her bag in the assigned area Keiko looked over at Yusuke “You must be happy that Koenma pulled some strings and got us up here huh?”


Scratching the back of his neck in a distinct show that he felt ashamed. “Yea sorry about that Keiko.”


“Yes Keiko I agree that was awfully nice of him to do this. I however wonder if he will use this as a way to convince us in the future to help him if he ever needed it. Koenma has never been one to do anything unless he can benefit from it.” Kurama said as he took the window seat on the other side of Kuwabara raising a questioning brow as he did so.


Kuwabara was in his own world trying to keep the knowledge of how high they were going to be in only a few minutes out of his mind. ‘I’ve always been afraid of heights!’ Kuwabara thought when he saw the raised brow from Kurama, but otherwise said nothing.


“You think Koenma might try and make you guys Spirit Detectives again?” Keiko asked her nervousness clear in her tone. She never like it when Yusuke put his life in danger and watching as he gets nearly killed time and again can wear a girl down.


“No, I do not think he would asked us to be Spirit Detectives again, but should a big problem arise that the Spirit World can not handle they will probably call upon us.” Kurama answered hoping to ease the girl. He knew how the girl felt about Yusuke’s time as a Spirit Detective.


“That toddler would ask even if he did not do this though. He knows that we would help if the problem was a big one. Mostly because it would effect our lives in the Ningenkai if the problem was that big.” Yusuke answered easily knowing full well the Prince of Reikai would call on them if the need ever arose.

“How long is this flight do you think?” asked Kagome she really had to go to the bathroom! She had hoped to hold it until they arrived at their cabins, but as it seems now she wont have a chance.


“Um a few more hours why?” Ayumi replied looking at her friend in concern. ‘what is wrong with her?’


“Arg, its just that I really have to go to the bathroom..” Kagome left off knowing that they would get the point.


“well I think I seen one next door you cant miss it.” Ayumi explained hoping to ease her mind if only a bit.


“Yea, I think I’m going to go.” Kagome said while standing first taking a stretch before moving to the door. “Be right back” Kagome said opening the door to their compartment and closing it behind her.

Kagome looked down the hall way searching for a bathroom sign and when she found it a smile lit her face ‘found it!’ she thought as she walked towards the bathroom. Kagome saw the Not Occupied sign lit and sighed in relief, at least until she opened the door.

After a few hours of idol chit chat Yusuke started to feel the call of nature. “I’ll be back I gotta use the can” Yusuke announced as he stood from his seat and walked to the door. Once he located the bathroom he headed towards it leisurely. Seeing it was not in use he walked inside and shut the door. Once inside he looked over the tin toilet much like a porter potty and began to unbutton his jeans. Letting out a satisfied sigh he relieved himself.


The sound of the door being opened turned his head with a snap. ‘shit I did not lock it!’ he thought as he tries to ‘hurry up’ before being seen in such a predicament. However, luck was not on his side when a pretty black haired girl walked in. “Shit!” he exclaimed at the same time her eyes widen and her faces reddens at the scene before her.

Hearing the voice of a male inside the bathroom she just opened she could not stop the compulsion to look towards the sound being greeted with a site that had her eyes widening, mouth dropping, and face reddening ‘Oh god kill me know’ she thought “Oh God I - I’m so sorry” she said while rushing back out the door and closing it loudly with a snap her voice clearly telling of her embarrassment if her face did not already show it.


Yusuke almost laughed her embarrassment so strong he could almost taste it. It made is embarrassment much more manageable. Finishing up as quickly as he could he zipped himself up and opened the door.


“I’m sorry, the sign said no one was in there and I had not even thought to knock” Kagome rambled her face still reddened in her embarrassment.


“Hey don’t worry about it! It was my fault anyway for not locking it. Names Yusuke, figured you should know the name of the penis you saw.” he said jokingly with a chuckle letting her know he was not overly upset about the mix-up.


She couldn’t help it, really she tried to hold in the laugh at his statement and almost succeeded all that escaped her was a choked sound before she responded “Kagome.. Figured you should know the name of the girl who saw your penis.” no sooner then the sentence was out her face reddened again and he laughed.


He laughed shaking her hand “your funny” he said with a smile to which she replied with a thank you.


Once they released each other from the handshake Kagome went into the bathroom and as she was closing the door she heard the guy speak “Make sure you lock the door! Wouldn’t want someone walking in on you” followed by a few chuckles and the closing of a door. Kagome sighed in relief as she locked the door and double checked it.

Chuckling as he walked back into his compartment everyone looked up to him silently asking him to convey what was so funny. Yusuke shook his head “I forgot to lock the bathroom door and someone walked in. It was funny.”


Kuwabara looked at Yusuke questioningly “what is so funny about someone walking in on you while your taking a piss?” he really had no clue, if it was him he would be so embarrassed.


“That wasn’t the funny part idiot!” Yusuke responded loudly ready to egg on Kuwabara once again.


“I to am curious Yusuke, what was the funny part?” Kurama asked brow raised in the fashion to show his curiosity.


“Man it was stupid really, no need to make such a deal out of it. But it was the face the person made when she walked in seeing something she was not prepared for. We exchanged some words and here I am.” Yusuke finished lifting his arms up and folding his hands behind his head in his ‘no worries pose’.

Kagome returned to her compartment still slightly red in the face having been unable to remove her heated blush completely. Her friends picked up on it as soon as she was seated and the questions started.


“Kagome why are you blushing?” Yuka asked curiously knowing it had to be something good because Kagome was not a blusher normally.


Yuka was not the only one who knew this either. “Yea what happened to make you blush like that?” Eri asked as Yuka and Ayumi all leaned closer to Kagome as if going to be told some big secret.


“Nothing happened! I had walked in on some boy as he was taking a leak! It was so embarrassing!” Kagome replied her face reddening again with the reminder of what just happened. That was after all the 3 penis she had seen and by accident too.


“No way! Was that the first one you saw?” Yuka asked leaning in closer wanting the details. Kagome’s love life was something she considered her self an expert in.


“NO! I had seen it before” Kagome replied in an insulted tone. She knew her friends thought her as inexperienced because she was still a virgin, but she has seen penises before.
