Higurashi Kagome sat at her desk sifting through emails,

‘Junk, junk, keep, junk…god this is boring, come on! Where the fuck is that memo?!?’

It had been a long tiring week with the merging of Higurashi and Taishou industries. It had been a long, hard and grueling task. It had taken one year three months and thirteen days to finally seal the deal, all that was left to do was put in the final touches and Higurashi/Taishou industries would become “Shikon Industries”. But little did Kagome know the rest of the bargain that had been struck by the two ancient business rivals…..

“KAGOME!!!!”

“KAGOME! Wake up this instant!” shouted her ji-chan as he strode in and yanked the covers off her sleeping form.


“what is it grandpa” yawned Kagome as she rolled over facing the wall and ignoring the crazy old geezer.

“Kagome! This is of dire importance wake up now!!” ‘He is so incorrigible’

“Aahhhh! Grand pa!!! Why did you pour ice water on me” Kagome said obviously awake and pissed off

“OH JI-CHAN!!! You shouldn’t have!!! You got me a car!!!!” *sweat drop 0.0

“Uh...no...AS I WAS SAYING! Kagome you’re getting married!!” 0.0!!

“What? Since when?” “Eh-heh well you see Kagome, me and Mr. Taishou decided…”

“WHAT??? YOU SOLD ME OUT TO MARRY THAT OLD MAN JI-CHAN!!! HES YOUR AGE FOR KAMISAKE!”

“No it’s not like that Kagome! I and Mr. Taishou decided that it would be opportunistic for the company if you and his older son were to marry”

“How in Kami’s name is that an opportunity?” Kagome hmphed

“Well Kagome this engagement would mean that you and Mr. Taishou would carry on the legacy of the company without compromising the merging of our companies, because Kagome...” her ji-chan said tearing up

“Someday I will pass onto the other world and I need you and Mr. Taishou’s son to carry on the legacy of Hig... er I mean Shikon Industries…”

“That and if you both get married then we won’t have to worry about a court battle for sole ownership of the company”

“Ya but ji-chan what if we get a divorce?”

“WHAT?!? Kagome that is out of the question no granddaughter of mine would shame her grandfather’s last dying wish..?!”
