Chapter Two: You Never Have To Like A Person To Be Polite

When Kagome made it to the center of camp, she placed Shippou on the ground and walked over to her sleeping place and began to pack her belongings. Once she was done she pulled out the last packs of ramen and placed them next to the pot they had. Grabing the canteen in her pack she unscrewed the cap and poured all the contents in it. Picking the packets of ramen up, one by one she ripped them open and put the noodles in. Placing the pot over the fire she turned to Miroku; who just woke up a while ago and asked him to go fetch some new fire wood. Nodding his head he stood up and went into the woods surrounding the camp and began to look for wood. Looking over to Sango she could see her friend cleaning her weapon again, polishing the bone to shine.



"Good-morning Sango" She said.



"Konichiwa Kagome, did you sleep well?" She asked.



Kagome remembered not long ago asking her son the same question earlier.



"Hai, I did Sango-chan, I slept very well."



"Lady Kagome I have brought the wood that you had asked for." Miroku stated, placing the wood in a pile under the pot, to make the fire heat up more to cooking tempertures.



"Arigato Houshi-sama." She said smiling up at him.









A While Later

After they had finnished eating and broke camp, they started to walk down twoards the village that Kagome had seen earlier.



Kagome was infront next to InuYasha with Shippou in her arms, while Sango and Miroku flanked the back, with Kirara in Sango's arms. There was little chatter within the group for the morning was nice, it hadn't been like that in months. Everyone was enjoying it and no one botherd to disturb the comfortable silence. Usually it was always gloomy, raining, and such, there were lots of weird and bizarre weather patterns Kagome had noticed. (Ha! More like mood swings.) She laughed to herself. She felt sorry for him, she really did, wonder what the poor thing's going through right now. (Must be glad that it's over since we're having such nice weather today.) She thought to herself, letting out a soft chuckle. Shippou lifted his head up to see what his mom found so funny. She in return looked down at him and smiled.



"It's nothing Shippou just thinking about the cause for such nice weather."



"Oh...ok." he replied.



"Hey Kagome-chan, what do you suggest we do now?" Sango asked.



Kagome looked from Sango over her shoulder then to InuYasha. Catching his eye, he gave her a nod. Looking back to Sango and Miroku she shifted her backpack from one shoulder to the other. "Well, since we are done hunting for shards, and there has been no sign of Naraku for weeks, I think it would be safe to say that we can go back to Kaede's after we are done in the village that we are heading to and enjoy the weather as it is now. We haven't had anything like this in a while and it's about time we get a chance to relax, and train for battle while we are at it." Seeing various nods from the group including InuYasha, she smiled and continued on her way.



A little while later they arrived at the village entrance, with a nod to a few people in greeting they continued on to the center of the village where the market was at. While it was always good to be curious, openly staring was another thing. They received a few stares here and there from the villagers, some good while others not so much. Kagome knew that it wasn't because of her attire for she had stopped wearing the school uniforms to this era. They were too short in her opinion, while she could handel short skirts and such, but not in the design that it was made. It could fly up if one's not careful. No, she doned a fighting haori and hakamas, they were black and blue, with snowflakes littering here and there, varying from small to large. The snowflakes were a blue color. She also wore black boots and a yellow, white, and blue obi that tied to her waist. It could only be InuYasha, sadly, people in this era never learned that it was impolite to stare but they haven't learned that yet in her era either.



Walking a bit futher into the heart of the village they finnaly reached the market, going from vender to vender buying supplies for the four day trip. While it wasn't that long of a journey, they were feeding a couple of humans who needed the food, then there was a half demon that ate more than a horse, and lastly a growing fox that was going to hit his hundred year period soon if she was right. After buying what they needed they headed out and continued West for Kaede's.



Stopping a little after noon, they settled down by a river and began to eat some of the rations they had bought.



Once finnished they were chattering happily about little things to keep the conversations going, nothing special. Kagome felt a small tug from her haori, looking down she was looking into Shippou's bright green eyes seeing him smile up at her. "Kaa-san can you put me down onegai?" He asked her. Nodding her head she placed him down.



Walking next to her, Shippou ran ahead of Kagome a bit, to walking infront of her. "I've been working real hard on my fox magic lately and I want to show you what I can do so far."



Kagome nodded her head, she wanted to know what her little one came up with. Standing up straight he shouted transform, when the smoke cleared they stopped to see Miroku infront of Kagome. Miroku noticed this and came over to inspect Shippou. Circling him slowly to take in every detail. Miroku was surprised to see that he looked exactly like him, from top to bottom.



"Great job Shippou! You even don't have your tail showing. And you don't have a leaf to do it anymore."



"Thanks kaa-san" The 'Miroku' replied.



Kagome was shocked this little pup even had his voice too. "Very good Shippou but it's kinda creepy hearing you call me mom while looking like Miroku and sounding like him too." She laughed.



"Ok, ok, how bout this one?" Shouting transform again he turned into Kouga. Again he looked and sounded exactly like him. Even down to the "Your my woman!" crap that he always pulls. InuYasha growled at this.



The next thing they knew they heard an echoing of InuYasha's growls and when the smoke cleared they could see an exact replica of him. InuYasha stopped and turned away from him, arms inside his haori sleeves with a 'keh' sounding from his lips, at the same time Shippou mirrored him. Laughing at their antics 'InuYasha' was surrounded by another puff of smoke. When it cleared Sango was standing before them. Suited up in her demon slayer suit. Miroku looked at 'her' and his hand twitched. Kagome looked at Miroku and smacked him lightly on the shoulder. "Not my son your not." He pulled his right hand up to rub his shoulder. "Hehehe, sorry habit."



"You're horrible monk." Sango sneered. He lost his smile and frowned.



Everyone laughed at their antics. Except two....both had black hair and an abnormal eye color for nigen.



But Kagome noticed Miroku's frown,she was the only one, and gave him a sad smile. Poor Miroku, she noticed that, everything Sango was telling him lately was being taken to heart.



Making his soul darken with sadness.



Sango she realilized was a lot more detatched from him with each passing day, but what got her thinking of was who her attentions had befallen on.



She slowed down to keep in step with Miroku while the other talked futher ahead.



"You know, that I'm always here for you right Miroku?"



" Thank you Lady Kagome I apreciate it. You really are a loving person, and are concerned for the well being of her companions."



"Practice, Miroku, becoming more humble, very humble on my part. And why shouldn't I be concerned about my brother?" She asked smiling. Giving a light hug she kissed his cheek in a sisterley manner and ran up to Shippou scooping him up into her arms.



"Hey Shippou how old are you? You look to be around 6 or so in human years.



"I'll be 100 next month. Why?"



"Did your parents ever tell you anything about when you would become of age?"



"No mama." He answered.



"Well when youkai are born they are vulnerbal till the age of 100, it's especially dangerous for the canine breed, they stay in a childs size till they reach 100. You're lucky you survived this long, and will stay alive if I have anything to say about it." She said hugging him.



"You should look like a 15 year old I would guess. I'm not too sure on kitsunes. InuYasha's a half inu youkai, so just being hanyou speeds up the process by half, so he turned when he was 50. and looks to be about 17, 18 now. I'm guessing 257."



"You worry me Kagome, your good and it scary." InuYasha stated.



"Thanks. I'll take that as a compliment." She said smiling. But from the corner of her eye she caught Sango give InuYasha a look.



(Wonder what's thats about?) She thought.



Walking futher down their path she sprinted ahead of the group running with a laughing Shippou in her arms. Laughing herself she continued to sprint into the forest that was beside the road. Setting her little kit down she plopped herself onto the ground at the base of a random tree. Watching her son jump and leap around like the little fox that he was when his attentions were caught by a opal colored butterfly. It was most enjoyable, for the first time in months they were taking a leasuierly pace. To do as they pleased.



"Oh... to be free like this.... to be at peace even though the storm is on the horizon. One can hope for the best." She sighed. Smelling the air she took in the scent of cherries. (I wonder what she desires?)



Kagome turned her head to her left when she heard the crack of a branch being broken. Sango it seemed was the one to come get them but, it looked like that was not all she was here for.



Sango stood in front of her, her geta sandals and socks were the things Kagome saw first before raising her eyes to the slayer. Sango was...figeting under her stare. It was amusing but she grew bored and began to grow impaitent. Another thing to learn, it seemed. As most said, "Paitents is a virtrue". Ha like she would ever posses it.



"Kagome-chan, how did you know that? I didn't teach you that. And I'm sure that InuYasha would'n tell you something that personal." (Sango-....sounded...threatened? Like she knew something about InuYasha and didn't want to share?) Well it would seem she would have to get answers, and soon. Looking up at her again she asked.



"And how would you know that Sango?"



"He-he....he said that he was surprised that you knew his age. Meaning that he never told you."



Her answer were stuttered therefore was unsure of how to answer. Meaning that Sango did know something more than she did and was hiding it...well....trying to.



"True, but this means that you knew. Meaning that there's 'something' your not saying Sango. I have a feeling what's going on and I will find out I just hope you're ready for the reprocusions of your decsions." She said walking away.



"Come Shippou, Sango wants to be alone to have time to herself and think for awhile."



"Hai mama." He said scampering up her shoulder.









Four Days Later

They arrived at Kaede's on the fourth day, Sango has been avoiding Kagome the whole trip.



Entering inside the hut they saw that Kaede was stroking the fire, infront of her was a basket full of freshly picked herbs.



"Hello Lady Kaede, is there anything we can do for you while we're up?" Asked Miroku.



"No ye have no need, all the chores are done." She said smiling



"That's good, you know, we'll have to look for someone to take your place Lady Kaede and soon. It's sad to say but you have become to old to gaurd the village." Said Miroku, he sat down next to her and patted her hand. "If you desire we can find some in the near future and you can make the selection yourslef to train them as your aprentice."



"I would like that, but lets wait for the battle to be won. I may be old but there is enough strength for me to last till then."



"Well considered it settled then." Kagome stated. Settleing down against the back wall, she began to observe how her friends acted around eachother.



On the wall to the right of her was the log that was used for a chair. Sango sat at the far end of it next to her on the floor InuYasha layed his back against the wall with Tetsaiga propped up against his shoulder. His head fell back with his eyes closed, relaxing. Actually relaxing, now that surprised her, she never saw him behave like that, he never did when he was around us. But never mind that, that could be filed away for later.



"I'll be heading for my village for a few days, a week or so perhaps. If that's alright with you guys." She looked for InuYasha to stop her, but she saw a nod from his head.



"That sounds good Lady Sango you haven't been there for a while, it's about the time to visit I suppose." Miroku voiced. "So when will we be taking off?" He asked.



She had been spending a vast amount of time away from him, more than she usually did, and he wanted to reconnect with her and continue to talk about their engagment. He couldn't wait to wed to his beloved, as soon as she had said yes to him he had stopped flirting with other maidens and asking for them to bear his children. He had even cut down on groping her, it had saved him from being beaten by that overly large boomarang of hers.



"No!" She shouted, covering her mouth, slowly she removed it, looking at him she said her words in a more softer voice.

".....I mean....that I wish to go...alone... Miroku, not this time."



"Oh....well alright, I thought, since, that we-well always go together, sorry that I assumed. Uh,...I-....I just remembered that I have to take leave as well." He said, standing quickly he began to bow in short bursts over and over till he reached the door. Bowing completely to the waist he said "Syanara." and left. Leaving the rest of the group in the hut. Kagome quickly turned her head from the door to the slayer and glared at her. Standing up quickly herself she place Shippou down and exited out of the hut as well. Catching a flash of purple to the side she ran after him.



"Miroku! Wait up!" She called. Seeing him slow down to a stop she quickly caught up to him and stood infront of him. Placing her hands on his shoulders she told him to look up. "Look I know you don't want to be around right now, but when you get back I'll help you in what ever way possible ok?" She looked up at him his face was hidden by his hair casting a shadow over his eyes, Lifting her hand she placed two fingers under his chin to look up into his purple eyes, she hadn't seen that color on a male in a long time. She laughed a little, and smiled. He was a little surprised that she was laughing. "You know..." She said lifting her thumb to his eye. "Someone once told me that tears never look good with the color purple." She wiped the tear away. " The people with your eyes should not feel pain, they must always be .....happy." She said smiling. He lifted his hand and covered her own that was rubbing his cheek. He turned twoads her hand and leaned in. Opening his eyes he gave her a sad smile. "Are they always sad Kagome?"



"No....not always." She replied. Giving him a hug she let go, but a second later she was pulled into a bigger hug.



"Thank you." He whisperd, holding her tight.



Pulling away to arms length she smiled again.



"Your welcome Miroku, now be safe while your gone brother, I want you back in one piece." She said in a serious tone. Laughing he nodded yes and said that he would. Kissing her forehead he replied. "Hai Kagome-chan, I will." Leaving her he decended down the road out of sight. With a sigh she began to walk back. Just when she entered back into the village she heard a deep baritone, turning on her heel she spotted someone InuYasha no doubt wanted nothing to do with. Seconds later she heard a growl.









Inside the hut

While later after Kagome ran off after the monk, InuYasha smelled her coming back without Miroku, but then smelled something he did not want to be here. Growling he leaped up from his spot and went through the doorway following closely behind him was the rest. What they saw was Sesshoumaru along with company, infront of his half-brother was Kagome. Growling more he yelled for her to get back, but she wouldn't listen. Turning his attention back to Sesshoumaru he asked.



"What the hell do you want?"



"I want a word with your miko."



InuYasha growled, unsheathing his sword he proceeded to stand in a defensive stance to fight him off .



"InuYasha put it away, it's fine, he just wants to talk." Trying to soothe him to calm him down. Placing the sword in it's sheath he stood in his normal stance.



"Fine!" he huffs. Kagome tried real hard not to laugh. it was a good thing her back was facing him, or he would have been more mad for her laughing at him.



Walking away from the group once again, she proceeded to follow the demon lord into a more secluded area, once they had reached a clearing he stopped. Turning around to face her he waited for her to make a move.



Noticing this she bows. As much as she hated it, it was nesecary.

"Lord Sesshoumaru you wanted to speak to me?"



"Hai my ward needs to be taken cared of for this night. I do not trust Jaken with her care anymore, he seems incapable of watching her."



(Well thank Kami he is a straight foreward type of guy...well demon I should say.)

"Gomen-nasai Sesshoumaru-sama but I will be leaving tonight after my bath. Which shall be soon." She stated while looking up at the sky to tell how much daylight she has left.



"If it won't be a problem I should be able to get Sango to do it."



"Fine see that she does or she will not be the only one punnished."



"Hai Lord Sesshoumaru." With a curt nod of his head he left, though she assumed it was to head back to tell Rin that she would be staying with them while he was gone.



Jogging back to the hut she then sat down next to Sango and spoke to her on what Sesshoumaru wanted. Sango said that she agrees to watch her for today while the demon lord was out for buisness.



Saying that after she was done with her bath she would pick up her stuff and then carry Shippou along with her to the well for his first visit. Arriving at the springs she quickly washed herself to get all of the grime and dust off her. Stepping out of the springs she dressed and went back to camp. With everything packed she told the others goodbye and have a safe trip to Sango. Kagome grabbed Shippou, telling them over her shoulder that they'll be back in a week after they visit and resupply.



"What ever" he says with a shrug.



Leaving camp Kagome walked to the well at a leisurely pace, once reaching it she held to Shippou tightly. Feeling the blue swell of magic fill the air as they went through.Once on the other side Kagome climbed up the rope ladder and out of the well to rest herself on the lip. Swinging her legs over she stepped down to land on her feet inside the well house.



"Okay now I know this is going to make you nausest so I want you to tone down your hearing, sight, and smell okay?" Nodding his head to indicate that he was ready she opened the door and walked out, immediately he covered his nose, his little face scrunched up in disgust. She laughed a little at his reactions, receiving a glare from him.



Hurrying into the house she closed the back door behind her, walking into the kitchen, she saw a note attached to the fridge it said that if she came home that they were out for a while and have the house for themselves.



Puting her pack by the door she climbed the stairs to her room and placed Shippou down on the bed. Going into her closet she looks for some new clothes to wear. Finding some clothes she dones them on, her attire consisted of a blue tank with a hoodie and black shorts that came to mid thigh.



Turning around to see that while she dressed he covered his eyes.



"Mama, can I look now?"



"Hai Shippou."



Uncovering his eyes he looked at Kagome and nodded his head at her decision in attire. It looked nice.



"Listen Shippou we don't have any clothes for you to wear so we're going to go buy some clothes for you since it's Saturday, and I don't have school till Monday,ok?"



Nodding his head he then leaped into her arms and they decended down the stairs to the front door. Grabing her wallet, keys, and phone she had set Shippou down to grab her things. Looking around she spotted him staring at Souta's Xbox 360 for too long.



"Maybe if my brother doesn't come home we can play, does that sound good?" She asks.



He nodds vigirously and smiles up at her, with him slung on her hip she opens and closes the door behind her.



"Oh! Before I forget, Shippou you need to get rid of the tail and hide your demon ears. Create an illusion, you seem to be getting better at thoes."



Nodding he whisperd transform and his ears turned into little human ones and his tail was gone. His little hands and feet were turned human as well.



"Oh your so smart, I completly forgot about your feet. I'm sorry baby."



"It's okay mama." Nodding her head she began walking down the stairs. "Okay well lets go."









After Shopping

When they finnished shopping for some new clothes she had him change into them. Kagome looked down at him, he wore some kakis and a t-shirt with the motocross emblem on it and was wearing little sneakers over his feet. Smiling she picked him up and walked out of the store and began walking down the streets pass a bunch of shops. Seeing a little outdoor cafe she sat down with Shippou in her lap facing her. Brushing his bangs out of his face, she let her fingers trail the side of his face. He had his eyes closed and was leaning into her hand. Smiling she stopped when he opened his eyes she giggled.



"Are you hungry?" She asked. He nodded his head, turning away to look around for a waiter she saw one and called him over. Asking for some food they waited while it was being cooked. Humming a song she continued to look around while Shippou rested against her, starting to become sleepy when she was stroking his head, running her fingers through his hair. (Hmm....it's gotten longer from what I remember.) She thought, turning her head to the right she saw some girls she hadn't seen in a while. Calling them over, she saw them all smile when they recognized her, Walking over they each leaned down to give her a hug. Sitting down they waited for her to speak first, right when she was about to talk the food came. Nudding Shippou awake from his light slumber, she looked back to her companions and smiled again.



"It's been a long time."



"Yeah, it has hasn't it?" One of them said.



"We haven't seen you in so long Kagome, it's been eons!" Another said excitingly.



"It has been huh Yuka, Eri, Ayumi, what have you guys been up to?" She asked.



"Nothing much really, it's been really boring without you, where have you been? Under a rock?" Eri said, she gave Kagome a look it never meant anything good.



"Yeah, where have you been? Your not still dating that two-timer are you?" Yuka asked.



Kagome mummbled. "Hn...more like three timer."



"What was that Kagome?" Ayumi asked. She was staring down Kagome, making her squirm.



"I didn't say anything."



"Rightttt..... well since you won't tell us anything, how bout telling us about this little boy right here, whats his name?" Ayumi questioned her again. Smiling Kagome proudly showed Shippou off to her friends.



"THIS [she said pointing to him] is my adopted son Shippou. He's 6, but very smart for his age." She said with a smile, she giggled when he puffed out his chest, at her declration. They too laughed at his display.



"He's adorable, Kagome. Oh! Before I forget, you don't have to take that english test that you missed." Ayumi stated.



Kagome smiled like crazy, everything just kepted getting better and better for her.



"But the problem is that you won't be going to our school anymore, but a different one. Starting Monday, it should be ...eventful."



"Ah...but I don't see you guys enough as it is." Kagome argued.



"Don't worry about it, you'll see us again it's not like it's the end of the world or something."



Nodding her head she finnialy picked up her fork and stuck it into some food, but looking down she noticed that all she got was air, looking at Shippou she saw him freeze when her gaze came upon him, like he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. The look on his face was priceless, even the girls had to hold in a giggle. Ruffling his hair she leaned down and kissed his crown.



"It's alright Shipp, I'll eat when we get home. Well it was great seeing you guys, I'll see you soon?" Nodding yes they all stood up to hug her and then kissed Shippou one at a time on his cheeks. Giggling when he blushed he tucked his head into the crook of her neck. Rubbing his back she waved goodbye before paying the check and leaving.



"So where do you want to go now Shipp?"



"I don't know, do you know anywhere fun to go to?" He asked.



"Hmmm....Oh! I have the perfect place, I use to go to the ARCADE when I was younger, you get to play lots of games. I would describe it as kinda like Souta's Xbox 360. But bigger and more of them." She told him. A huge smile lit up his face, he was going to enjoy this.



Walking down the street a little bit faster to get there they turned a corner and about twenty feet from them was the entrance to ARCADE. It looked like it was kinda crowed today but there should be enough room for the two of them, hey they were small.

Going inside she stood and told him to take his pick. Looking around the many things he saw, he saw a weird looking contraption and asked what it was.



"It's a game machine."



"What game is it?"



"Ummmm....it says, Tenchu Wrath of Heaven. Do you want to play? No one's using it."



Mesmerized he nodded his head. Walking over Kagome made her way through the sea of teens that were blocking her way. Once infront of the game console she placed Shippou by the controls and pulled out her wallet. Pulling out a few quarters she placed them into the money slot. Pressing start she showed him how to play once he got the gist of it they started to play.



Surprisingly for one who never played before and lived five hundred years in the past without this technology and entertainment he was kicking her ass. Not the other way around as it should. The young grasshopper has surpassed the master. Hehehe



(I sound like thoes old men in the martial arts movies.)









Outside

While everyone one was enjoying themselves inside ARCADE a group of seasoned players entered their favorite place to hang. Well some of them loved it. One of them on the other hand disliked the idea. Looking around they scanned the place for somewhere to play. Stopping at one in the far back they saw something they didn't see everyday.



A nice....pair..of...long.never.ending.legs. Attached to a nice ass. Her profile from the back looked nice. Real nice.



Soon a nice smack went to the back of the leader's head. Holding his head with his hands he turned to glare at the offending appendage that struck him. Turning around he looked down and glared at the shorter man infront of him. Brown eyes met red in a stare off, but was stopped by a hand landing on the shorter one's shoulder.



Breaking his gaze from the idiot he looked at the one that stopped him. Shrugging the guys hand off he "hn" and walked off.



"What's got shorty all mad?" The leader asked.



"I don't know Yusuke. No one really knows what sets Hiei off, but are sure that he can be set off."



"Who cares the shrimp is mad all the time. But I agree with Hiei for once, it's not nice to stare." Another added. He was tall, boy was he tall. Round 6'5 I would say. Wore a blue tee and jeans. His hair was orange and was made up in a Elvis style hairdo, his face didn't look any better.



"Shut up Kurabarwa." Yusuke stated. He looked to be 5'9 doning a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a jacket .He had brown eyes and wore his black hair gelled and slicked back. His whole attitude and air about him screamed delinquient.



The last remaining of the group stood about 5'11. Had bright long red hair and green eyes, he wore black jeans and a white button up shirt. He looked too femine to be male, but he was distinguishable from the opposite sex. He was fawened over by many, female and some male alike.



"You must admit though, she is one fine ass looking onna, emphisis on the ass." Yusuke said while looking at her.



"Must be new, wait a minute you have a girl Yusuke." Kurabarwa proclaimed.



"Oh...yeah... your right." He said, it seem that he wished he was detached from her at the moment.



"Maybe we should go introduce ourselves, perhaps?" Suggested the red head.

*Y* No, but a wonderful idea none the less, I agree with the detective, she does have a delectable looking ass. Don't you agree? I would think her front would be just as appealing. And she's all alone,it would be only polite to keep her company.*Y*

Kurama looked to where his group of friends where looking at and what he saw made him speechless as well. She was breathtaking, she had the most unique eyes he had seen on a nigen in a long time. A bright sapphire, something you didn't get in a sea of browns. Like they had thought, her front was just as good as her back. But minus one thing. It was small and attached to her hip with big green eyes.



*Y*Please let him be a cousin or something.*Y*



"Hey Kurama when did you have a kid?" Kurabarwa asked. While looking at the kid up and down, then back to Kurama. Same red hair and bright green eyes. Where had he been hiding them?



*H* The bafoon has a point, when did you have a kit, fox? Or did this slip your mind as well? *H*



*K* A child wouldn't slip my mind, especially if it were mine but I never had intamate contact with her.*K* Kurama informed his partner, still watching the onna and boy. He soon saw that Yusuke had gotten closer twoards the girl and started conversing with her.



*Y* Yes I agree, and I never forget a pretty face.*Y*



*H* Hn.*H*



*Y*But.....I think I've seen her before, just not where. She looks so familiar.....*Y*



"Mind if I play with you?" He asked.



Turning her head she smiled and said sure. Then steping back from the console behind Shippou she let him take up her old position.



"Though I think you're going to lose, Shippou here even beat me!" She stated while ruffling her son's hair. Shippou beamed up at her when he heard that, then turned twoards the game and pressed start.



A little while later a whole crowd of people started gathering around to see what everything was about. They saw, most were surprised to see that the little kid was beating Yusuke of all people. Everyone knew about him, along with his friends that he had aquired over the years. They didn't seem to bother anyone any more, but then no one bothered them.....



Looking at the screen the little charaters that were on it, the boy's ninja was kicking Yusuke's ass, making him start to lose badly!

They saw his furstration start to grow getting kinda mad from what they could tell and saw him try to cover the little boy's eyes.



"Mama! Make him stop!" He shouted trying to dislodge Yusuke's hands. It wasn't working very well. Kagome turned to look at Yusuke she gained a glint in her eyes Kurama had noticed. (What is she up to?) he thought, his answer shortly followed his unasked question. When he saw his friend jump and give a loud yelp. The girl was tickling him on the sides of his ribs making him unable to cover the boys eyes.



"No! Stop! Come, hahahaha..on! So- not fair!" He breathed.

Kurama soon saw the kid claim quick victory while his mother was busy keeping his friend occupide. It was quite amusing with their little display he had to admit. Making him smile.



Kagome laughs and continues tickling her prey till her son had won, but hadn't stopped untill he was begging. Letting his sides go she smiled brightly at Shippou. Her son did well.



Shippou laughs "I win."



"You cheated"



"Yes but you did first so I say it's fair" Shippou countered. Standing straight he did a little bow then hopped onto his mom's hip.



"Well it was fun. My names Yusuke by the way.



"My name is Kagome and this is my son Shippou."



He doesn't look anything like you, he seems to get his father's looks" Yuuske said elbowing Kurama in the side he grunts and glares at him

Yusuke smiles while rubbing his head.



"Yeah...he does." She said adoringly, but there was a hint of sadness they noticed before a huge smile wound up on her face. Their moods instantly brightened soon after.



*Y*I wouldn't mind being the pup's father in the least...*Y*



"So I've never seen you around before. Are you new Kagome-san?" Kurama asked.



"No just visiting I'll have to go back by the end of the week."



"That's a shame." He replied



"Yeah my little boy loves it here, but hates the smell. He's not use to it since he's lived in the country all his life, it's hard for him to adujust."



"Well anyways we will have to leave in a few but before we go mind intorducing your friend?"



They looked at her a bit funny before realilizing she was referring to Kurwabara. Slapping a hand on the back of the tall stranger Yusuke introduced him as Kurwabara. Smiling in greeting she then shook his hand then turned her attention to her son who began to yawn. It appeared that he was tired, telling her that it was time to head home.



"Well maybe I'll see you guys again. My son's getting tired so we'll be going. His ceremony will be in a couple of months when I come back. Maybe you'll be

able to come." She said smiling at them. Shifting him to a better position to carry him home she left ARCADE to retire for the day. Once there she settled down on her bed and went to sleep with him right next to her.

After she had left they headed out side and met up with Hiei and started to walk twoards Kurama's house to hang out for the rest of the evening. Yusuke had to go visit Makai and see how everything was going in a few days. Being Raizen's heir was a pain, but he didn't have to do as much as he thought. After the Makai Tournament he found that Enki was pretty good at being King of Makai. While Enki was ruler he decided to keep the four of them in charge, but word was going around that there was rulers besides Raizen, Mokuro, and Yomi themselves.



It was starting to be rumored that he himself wasn't the rightful ruler of the land once known as the Northern Lands that Raizen had possesed. All of them were having problems. The reason why he needed to visit was becaues of the letter he had received from Enki. Stating that they had a problem that needed to be delt with immediatley. Soon after he sent a reply stating that he would be there with company. Oh he felt a headache coming on....It's possible though, and that's what worried him. But for n-

"Grrr what now!?!" Nice something else to look forward to. They had all retired and never had to listen to the little brat of a demi-god ever again, but were told to keep the comunicators on them if they were ever needed.



(Kami, not again Keiko is so going to kill me when she finds out.) He groaned at the thought. Joy....He so did not want to tell his fiance this. He had finnaly asked her to be his wife. He loved her fircely but was worried what she would do to him if she found out he had to deal with Koenma again.



She doesn't even know about him owning and ruling land in the demon realm or the fact that he was even a youkai in the first place and she wasn't going to. As much as he loved her he was worried that she wouldn't accept him. She never did like anything that wasn't normal. Fliping the lid open he narrowed his brown eyes at the brat.



"What do you want?" Yusuke grounded out.



"Nice to see you too Yusuke but I need all of you imediately. I fear this is the worse you'll have to face of all your missions. Botan's opening a portal now, see you in a bit."



Not a moment later, they saw a bright pink eyed, bubbly Botan, again since when was Death suppose to be cheery?



"Hello boys, it's been a awhile hasn't it?"



"It has Lady Botan, how have you been?"



"I've-"



"Kurama cut the crap, I don't feel like waiting to go see the binky. I want to get this over and done with so if you please." Yusuke stated.



Botan gave a huff and mudder under her breath along the lines of "impaitent, stupid," ect...



They walked though the portal and once again entered into Koenma's office. It was still the same since the last time they were there. About a year ago was when they last spoke. That was a day that Hiei was quite cheerful, well as cheerful as the little hiyoukai could get. He gave the group a little smirk when he found out that his sentence was finnaly over and was a free man.



He wasn't as small as he used to be, he grew alot in their opinion he was a height of 5'2 when they first met him and now he stood at the height of 5'7. Still shorter than everyone else but was now considered at normal height. While everyone else was 5'9 and up in their small group. Looking over at the demi-god's desk they saw a moutain of papers. You would think after all that they did there would be a smaller amount of paper work for him to do. But no, of course not, there was never enough apparently.



Koenma turned into his teenage form, standing upright he greeted his old team with a nod.

"I'm sorry to have pulled you out of retirement but I need for you to do a mission that will prove important in the near by future. We will need all the help we can get. But anyways, onto the mission. You will be needed to begin your search immeditly and to give you a head start you will begin tomarrow and continue till thursday, then go to school Friday. This will be on and off for the next couple of months. Your mission is to find my grandfather. He will be needed for our side, father has told me directly that there will be a threat to our way of life and needs to be stopped."



"Hold on who is he, and exactly why are we looking for him?" Asked Yusuke. He didn't like where this was going.



"I'm sorry but this is all I can tell you till you complete this part of it, and will learn more as you go on." Replied Koenma



"Meaning in other words, another incomplete file." Hiei ground out. (This idiot was suppose to be a god? Ha!)



"No! Meaning that I'm not allowed to speak his name and for you to know it is for you to find out yourselves."



"Why?"



Koenma sighed rubbing his temples. "My grandfather was in a war a couple hundred years ago. Near the end of the Fuedal Era now that I think about it. Anyways we will need to find him for the upcoming evil that is in our midsts." Completely avoding the question.



"Great here we go again. When are we going to be done with 'Oh Kami! A new evils coming and if we don't stop it we're all going to die!!!!'" He said in a sarcastic tone.



Koenma narrowed his eyes at Yusuke, sometimes if it wasn't so important that he needed him he would just wring his neck. "This is nothing to laugh about Yusuke. I would advise you to rest for tomarrow, and I better see results. We have no time to lose."



"And where should we begin our search?" Kurama asked.



"Where is history kept?" Was Hiei's reply.



"The archives." Kurama stated.



"And if the war was a couple hundred years ago maybe the Lords of the demon realm knows of something. Maybe Enki and the others know, since apparently a god can't figure it out." Perhaps he could get to the bottom of this rumor that had been flying around.

Koenma glared, but then sighed, he was right he couldn't figure it out so maybe they could.



"Good luck."



Soon after a portal opened up, on the other side was where they were heading to before they were brought here. Single file they went through the portal, into Kurama's living room. When the portal closed behind them they all sat down and relaxed for the rest of the night. Deciding to crash at the fox's place before starting tomarrow.
