Survival

It was a few weeks after Miroku and Sesshomaru slept together. Miroku woke up at a sudden sickness in his somache and threw up. The rest of the gang started to stir awake and rubbed their eyes to see Miroku throwing. Kagome and Sango rushed by his side and lead him back to bed. They were 2 days away from Sesshomaru's castle and that was where Kaede was. The priestess had some business there with a healer.

Inuyasha carried Miroku on his back and jumped through the forest as fast as he could. The rest of the group were on Kirara's back and followed Inuyasha. Once they arrived at the castle where Inuyasha's half brother lived, they all standed on the ground. Sesshomaru had decided to take a walk when he ended up face to face with Inuyasha. All of a sudden Miroku collasped to the ground.

When Miroku woke up, his eyes fixed on their surroundings to find that he was in a large room. The door suddenly opened and a healer walked in towards the monk. Following behind the healer was the Inu gang and Sesshomaru. "Are you alright Miroku?" asked a concerned Kagome. "What happened to me?" he asked, not remembering anything but before he collasped. He started to push himself into a sitting position and finding it very painful. He winced at the pain that shot through his body like a storm destroying a city. Slowly the healer gave some herbal tea to the monl. "Drink this and it will ease the pain" she said and he drunk the fluid. "How are you feeling Miroku?" asked the miko again, this time getting a rely "Alright I guess". Everyone smiled apart from Sesshomaru and Miroku. "So what happened to me" Miroku asked Inuyasha as the two girls fussed over him. "Well, you fainted and Sesshomaru caaried to his room that we happen to be in. The healer examined you and still has yet to tell us what she has found so shocking. he told the monk. "So healer what is wrong with Miroku" as he turned towards the healer.

There was a long period of silence until the healer broke it by telling the group and her Lord the news. "Your companion collasped because he is with....child" she managed to say. Everyone just stared at her. "So your saying that Miroku is pregnant?!" Inuyasha questioned shocked. "Yes" the healer replied. She turned to leave when Sesshomaru decided to speak to her which everybody heard. "Is the child that the monk is carrying anychance mine?". "Yes" she answered. All of them turned towards him and both Sango and Kagome fainted from the news.

After a few minutes Miroku decided to get up and go for a walk. He was just by the door before his legs gave way. In a speed of light dash, Sesshomaru caught Miroku before he hit the floor. He then carried the monk to his bed. Inuyasha, who was still standing now stood in shock with his mouth wide open. Once Sesshomaru laid the monk down he turned to leave when all of a sudden the priestess and Sango who finally managed to recover from the unexpected news, yelled "What did you do to Miroku?" was the only question they said without thinking of what could have happened. "I think you two should be able to figure out an answer to such an easy questioned" Sesshomaru said in his cold and emotionless voice. He walked out of the room leaving the group alone for a while.

While out doing errands for his Lord, Jaken overheard the shocking news of his master making the monk of the Inu pack pregnant. This enraged him and him decided something. 'If I can kill that monk but make it look like I had nothing to with it, then the Lord will be mine!' he thought, so he rushed to the nearest bunch of demons that were in the castle. He told the bunch of demons his plan and they argreed to it, but having another thought as well. 'We'll let the toad servant have him and rule the western lands altogether' they all though in a synchronising motion. When it was about 7pm at night (dinner time), everyone was gathering in the dining room. Miroku was still in his Lordships bedroom sleeping, when he heard the door of the bedroom open. Four demons stepped inside and walked towards the still dazed monk who was still in a sleepy mood. As they reached the monk, a servant girl came in with Miroku's dinner. She screamed "HELP, DANGER" as she ran out of the room towards the dining room. Startled by the sudden out burst, the servant girl told her Lord of the demons in his room. He rushed towards where the monk was who carried his child and slammed the doors open nearly knocking them off their hinges. Sesshomaru startled the demons and by a miracle, Miroku was not fully awake. He slashed off their heads and disposed of the other demons body. When he came back he realised that the monk had woken up. Sesshomaru slowly went over to the human that was pregnant with his child and said something that was shocking to the monk in his life. "I ....love....you" Sesshomaru said in a nervous tone. He had only realised this when he thought he was going to loose his heir and the monk carrying the child.
