Trying to Banish Every Memory
I Need You
The morning was dead and thick. Kagome felt worse than she had the day before. Her stiff bones cracked at her slight movements in her bed. Kagome’s throat was aflame with pain and her nose was sniffling with great annoyance. She felt hot like she was burning in her own skin. Through all Kagome’s discomfort, she couldn’t help like there was something missing. Almost like a part of her was missing.
‘Inuyasha,’ Kagome thought.
She glanced around the room. Where was her night and shining armor? Though he didn’t always make her feel better with his shiny disposition, Inuyasha made her feel alive. That’s what Kagome needed.
“Inuyasha,” Kagome squeaked out.
Why won’t he come? He always comes.
“Inuyasha, come here please,” she tried to speak.
Kagome was extremely nervous. She slowly got out of bed and lumbered her way over to her bedroom door. Her family was long gone and Kagome easily stumbled her way to the well. The blue light swirled around her and she found her feet at the bottom of the well on the other side. She slowly found her way up the well and onto the springy grass.
“Inuyasha, where are you?” she asked to the sky.
Kagome lumbered throughout the Feudal era with no results. She collapsed next to a hot spring and felt hopeless.
“Inuyasha...Inu...you don’t understand...Inuyasha, I need you,” she cried.
Inuyasha looked down upon the girl in sweats and a t-shirt. That girl had gone to the ends of his Forest for him. Her tears brought a stabbing pain in his chest.
‘It’s for the best. She doesn’t need me. She got that wrong. I need her.’
