Chapter Two
When Kagome finally woke up, she realized that she was no longer sitting on her bed; but brought back to the feudal era. She didn’t remember coming through the well and certainly she didn’t recall being carried. Coming to a conclusion that Inuyasha had brought her back…but wait, she didn’t remember seeing Inuyasha, his sent was all to familiar. This sent was somewhat different, some how youkai.
Sitting up some, her neck was stiff and her limbs sore. When she adjusted her eyesight to look around her surroundings, she almost screamed. This wasn’t in a small hut she was all to use to, but a palace. A very luxurious palace; pale pastel draperies were hanging open bracket style all along the walls. The walls themselves were of a light brown color that remained Kagome of café-au-lait. There weren’t any pictures but very strange pieces were up against the wall, like artifacts in a museum. Kagome guessed they were craftsmanship from the feudal era due to the fine lines and details. The floor was of the same texture and color as the walls except that there were markings engraved into them.
Kagome stood in wonder as she gazed around the room. But as the moments passed she began to panic. Kagome had no idea where she was and if she was in the feudal era she had no idea in what part. She thought for a moment if she was in some other dimension. But as her thought wore on, the door to her chamber opened and in came a little girl Kagome recognized immediately.
“Rin!”
Rin looked up to Kagome, surprised she knew her name, but figured it couldn’t be a surprise, since they had med on some occasions.
“ Lord Sesshomaru requests your presence Lady Kagome”
Sesshomaru…This must be his palace, thought Kagome her spirits lifting somewhat, but she knew this wasn’t good. Inuyasha was bound to go looking for and if he found her here, she didn’t really want to think about it.
A chill ran down her spine. Closing her eyes she tried to focus on how she arrived here in the first place. Then it came to her almost like a wave hitting against the shore. Kagome had gone back home, but then she realized that Sesshomaru must’ve followed her, because he was in her room. Then she fell and he came and caught her, he must’ve given her something that made her fall into a slumber.
Snapping back to reality, Kagome followed Rin out of the chamber. The hallways were quite different but the markings on the floor looked like they continued from her room, as though they were telling a story. The hallway seemed to continue on forever until they reached a clearing. The markings spread around the floor like tentacles.
Kagome looked up and saw him, sitting on a throne, and the markings etched on the walls behind him. His silver hair falling about him like silk, his yellow eyes gleaming in the poor candlelight. She stood in awe at his marvelous figure, the way he was sitting as though he purposely threw himself onto the chair from a hard days work. Continuing to stare at him, Kagome became very interested in a strange piece that was at the far side of the hall. It looked very familiar. Almost like the bow she used against demons.
“Lady Kagome…”
Kagome looked up, Sesshomaru was right in front of her. How he got there in less than a second was beyond Kagome’s imagination.
She gazed into his golden eyes. It seemed if she looked at him any longer, she would become color blind. But something happened at that precise moment that Kagome could not believe, she thought Sesshomaru looked human.
He was advancing on her. Before Kagome knew it she was blackened out.
Cliffhanger I know, but next chapter will contain all that have been waiting for. Patience is a virtue (did I spell that right?)
