I’m like the shade of grey
Neither black or white
An ugly color
Drab and boring
Unwanted
Unloved
Even by family
They all left me
And my friends will leave me in the end
Like the love of my life
She left me pinned to a tree
But at least I was pinned to something
My new love will leave me with nothing
But the pain of connecting to the ground
Over and over again
Sit, the dreaded word
But I will take it
Because it’s all I can get
Because she’ll leave
Just like everyone else
Just like last time
The only reason they is stay is because they’re blind
But soon
The veil will be lifted from their eyes
And they will see
They will know

And failure
