When Parents Are Right

Well anyways here’s another chappy for you, thanks for any reviews I got and I hope that the story gets more to your liking. If there’s anything you think should happen please tell me and I’ll try to put it in. Also any improvements you think I need to make tell me so I can fix it. Your opinions are important since I haven’t a clue on how to go from here. Well anyways here it is.

After several years had passed with the incident with Ember and Sesshomaru. She had grown up quiet a bit. It was a beautiful summer day and Sesshomaru was patrolling his lands when he saw a demoness sitting on a rock near a hot spring. He sniffs the air and thinks ~Why does that smell seem familiar? I know her but from where?~ He decides to leave her alone when she turned to face him.

She looked him up and down her eyes a gorgeous shade of crystal green with the cat pupils, on her forehead was a silver star, on her cheek bones are jagged looking purple strips which bring out the green even more in her eyes, her hair was flame red going down to her knees, she was in a light green kimono. Sesshomaru glances around, at the moment he wasn’t accompanied by Rin or Jaken. Toukijin (SP?) and Tenseiga(SP?) sheathed at his left side, his right arm hangs limply at his side. Ember stands up and looks at him sensing power coming off of him in waves. She draws out her flaming claws and holds them up in a challenge to him. Not yet knowing who he is not knowing who he is.

“What does a lowly cat like you have accomplish by challenging me?” Sesshomaru reach’s down putting a hand over Toukijin ready to draw it if she went through with the attack. Ember laughed softly at what he said even though she acted tough she looked extremely delicate and fragile. He draws Toukijin, pointing it down at the ground. “Is every region but this one weak enough to be controlled by cats?” He raises his sword to her. “I feel generous today. Stand down or I will slay you.”

Hah! She gets into a fighting stance and draws her lethal claws which contain small flames at the tips at him. “Give me your swords and I shall let you live in peace” She said to him in her wanna be threatening voice. Which he replied with “Very well. I assume you've made your decision.“ He raises the sword above his head, swinging down, a sphere of energy rapidly forming and heading for the demoness with the intent to kill. She jumps up and out of the way while slinging purple and black flames at him. “Dancing Flames”

He deflects the flames deftly with the Toukijin. “Is that all you got, cat?” He pushes off with one foot, jumping up after her, after images trailing him as he moves at a nearly unimaginable speed, extending Toukijin out towards her red beams fire off by the dozens in a scattershot way making it hard to dodge as well as giving damage in several places as he tries to hit her dodging form. She jumps back trying her best to avoid the attack since her father never really taught her to fight just to look tough so she can avoid fights that she just got her self into. He sheaths Toukijin knowing he won't need it for this fight now, raising two fingers swinging them down towards her the whip extending from them to lash her several times. She darts up into a tree and masks her scent to hide from him to use a sneak attack on him. He retracts the whip, and scoffs lightly once. “Running away now?”


She stalks quietly towards him in the trees and then lashes out with her fire. “Never dog breath, I will have your swords and give them to my lord Sesshomaru. For I am Lady Ember of the South” Her tone was arrogant and proud even though she was fighting with her betrothed. …“Ember?” He sighs then says more to himself then to her. “The cat my father betrothed me to?” He drops his arm and prepares to leave not in the mood to deal with her at the moment. She smirks at him “Giving up that easily. Just the sound of my name sends shivers down your spine“ Laughs softly again. “Just leave now.” After saying such he begins walking off, obviously wanting no part of his father's decision for them to marry. She jumps from the tree in front of him. The picture a very spoiled girl with her tail twitching showing her irrititablity “Never I must uphold my honor as a lady!”

“Lets get one thing straight. I want no part of marrying you. So leave me be or I will really slay you.” He pushes past her and continues on his way. Even though she really doesn’t want him to till she gets his swords. She gets defensive and snarls at him. “Who are you and why do you think I will marry you?!” He pauses in his steps and replies, “ You don't know who I am?” In a tone that implied that wasn’t very smart. “Of course not. I am aware that you are strong…“Looks at her burned arm. “Very powerful, but I will uphold my honor as a lady act with dignity. My family is very proud that I have been chosen for such a strong lord. Sesshomaru sighs again “My name is Sesshomaru.“ He continues on, not turning back to look at her. He doesn’t really care that was or wasn’t going to believe him. “Prove it“ Blushing even though she knows it true. “I have nothing to prove.” By now he’s a pretty good distance off. You will not dismiss me!” She shoots out her flames again this time to surround the area where he is more to get his attention then anything else. spins, drawing Toukijin and swinging it, the energy from the sword pushing
back the flames from his easily*.“I told you I want no part of my father's foolishness. Now leave or I shall slay you.” She stared at him.
