Chapter 2: Strawberries

Chapter 2: Strawberries

Souta hurriedly pulled on a pair of pants and a matching sweater over a newly found pair of boxers, many because there was a light chill that stuck with him from his trip from the well to the house. Sure it had been a short trip, but the fact that there was almost if not was a full blizzard going on outside warranted him being half frozen. Being clothed again helped relieve some of the uncomfortable temperature differences.

With a relived sigh, Souta let his body freefall backwards on to his bed and land with arms out stretched and eyes closed next to Inuyasha, sitting with his legs crossed next to him. Inuyasha watched the boy for a moment, after seeing he was unmoving he spoke again. “Hey kid, are you alright?”

“Uh-huh.”, Souta nodded, his eyes opening halfway to stare at the blue walls of his room. His particularly neat room. He was far from organized, even when he was trying to be neat his stacked piles of books weren’t strait, sitting on the floor against the wall even when they could be fitted into his desk. The desk in itself held the same sense of disorganized neatness, school papers spread across the surface, some old ,some new, but all within barely defined groups, even the random things on the floor had the image of an inanely messy person trying to be neat. “I’m just...gonna...” Souta’s eyes drifted shut again, this time not reopening as he started to fall into the foggy haze of sleep. “Go...back to sleep.”

The only reason he really had woken up in the first place was to go home and get a new set of clothes, with that task done Souta wanted to just fall on to his bed, which he had done, and sleep. With the last bit of awareness left in him, Souta wrapped his arms around Inuyasha’s waist and laid his head on hanyou’s leg.

! - ! - !

It wasn’t clear how much time had passed between when he fell asleep and now, he didn’t care.

Souta was awakened after what seemed like a long time, feeling the warmth his head was laying on top of and his arms were wrapped around slowly being drawn away from him until his head fell to the bed and it was completely gone. “...” Souta opened his mouth wide with a yawn, deciding to keep his eyes closed for a few more moments and internally debate with himself whether or not he wanted to get up. Finally the two conflicting feelings within him reached a truce and he opened his eyes halfway.

Inuyasha was standing in front of the bed, looking out of the window with a doziness about him. He groaned in annoyment as he removed the red jacket he wore and tossed it carelessly aside, it happened to land on Souta’s head. “...aaauuuu?” Souta naturally sat up, letting the discarded clothing fall off of his head and into his lap. His decision to get up was greeted with that scent he’d smelled before, he couldn’t quite describe it but he knew it was coming from Inuyasha... “Inuyasha?”

“Eh?” Inuyasha gave a quick look back, acknowledging that Souta was awake before turning back towards the window. “Oh, I didn’t mean to wake you up....Damn it‘s hot in here.” Inuyasha wiped away a few drops of sweat from above his eyes, then he leaned against the window sill, staring out into the snow longingly.

“Really?” Souta, after a few moments with it, pushed the red jacket to the side. “It’s kinda cold...” or at lest that’s what he thought. “Are you alright?”

Inuyasha wanted to just say yes like he usually would when asked this question, but he couldn’t bring himself to just dismiss what he was feeling. He was hot, really, really hot. The heat was starting to become unbearable, it was what woke him up even though he was planning to try and sleep through as much as this heat as possible since things didn’t go anything like he planed them too. ‘It was never this bad...’ During other heats he always got... well hot, but this time it was really bad, worse then ever. Probably because this time he actually had mated. “I’m just hot.”

“Hot?” Souta climbed over the bed and made his way to the window. “Are you sure your ok?” Souta sounded worried this time, how could someone be hot during a blizzard? It was 10 degrees outside, it was even a little cold inside. The only rational thing he could conceive of doing at times like this was to crawl into bed and curl up under the covers until it was warm again.

“I can’t take this!” Inuyasha shouted, clinching his head in frustration. Finally unable to resist the temptation any longer, Inuyasha opened the window and abruptly jumped out.

Much to Souta’s surprise.

“Inuyasha!?” Souta pushed his head out of the window, unfortunately the only thing he could see was a fog of snow. Highly confused and a little bit more worried, Souta ran to his closet and grabbed the first coat he saw, since his other one had been burned away by acid, and bolted out the door. He managed to get from his room to the back door in record time. Going so fast that he nearly ran into it, Souta opened the door and steeped outside.

He was met by snow and cold winds that shifted directions frequently, just like before. He found Inuyasha was laying in the snow, and looked quite contempt to do so. “Inuyasha? Why’d you do that?”

“Too hot.” He murmured, closing his eyes to better enjoy the wind that made his surrounds that much colder.

Souta stood over him, taking a second to glance at the budded cheery blossom tree that he’d been sitting under earlier arching over them with it’s bare branches. “Aren't you going to get a cold sitting out here like this?”

Inuyasha laughed at the thought. “Tch. Yeah right, I’ve never been sick in all my life, I don’t intend to start now--” Inuyasha was cut off by a mound of snow falling onto his face, a good portion of which fell into his open mouth. He sat up shot upright and spit the snow out angrily “What the hell!”

“Huh?” Souta shook his head, realizing that Inuyasha thought he had dumped the mass of snow on him when it was actually the tree. “It wasn’t me, it was that--”

“Yeah right.” Inuyasha snorted, tossing a quickly formed snowball in his hand “I got something for you then!” Inuyasha shouted.

“No wait.” Souta drew back apprehensively, lifting his hands surrender. “It was--” He was cut off by a snowball slamming into his face thrown by Inuyasha. “Hey!” Souta shook the snow from his hair, immediately knelling down, scooping up a substantial amount of snow in to his hand, packing it into a ball and then throwing it at Inuyasha.

It hit the Hanyou in the chest, which actually didn’t feel to bad to him, “Alright Kid, you asked for it!” Inuyasha climbed on to all fours and chased after Souta, who ran away in an attempt to escape but wasn’t nearly fast enough.

Souta was tackled to the ground, laughing heavily “No, no, stop!” He cried, blocking his face from incoming snow with one arm while he shoveled snow upward at Inuyasha with his other. “I didn’t do it, stop, stop, stop!” Souta managed to slip from under Inuyasha with a fair amount of struggling, stumbling to his feet and running away while Inuyasha chased after him.

A long and cold, for Souta at lest, snowball fight followed. The boy didn’t stop laughing once, and though Inuyasha would never admit it he enjoyed himself, deeming his actions just retaliation. All that running around didn’t help his temperature, he honestly would have been happy to burry himself in the snow since he would have been a lot cooler that way, though he wouldn’t have had nearly as much fun just sitting there.

“I give up.” Souta called out, waving his hands in defeat or trying to anyway, he was buried head deep in snow by Inuyasha, who had done so in a very dog like manner. “I’m freezing!”

Inuyasha grabbed on to the collar of Souta’s coat and pulled him out of the filled hole, holding him off the ground for a few seconds to let the larger clumps of snow fall off of him before letting him fall. “I thought so.” Inuyasha said, looking down on him with a victorious smirk. He brushed some snow off of the side of his face from Souta’s final snowball, speaking of which, when took another look at the boy he could see that he was shaking. From sight he could see Souta wasn’t nearly as warm as he was. “Cold?” Inuyasha inquired, wrapped his arms around the trembling boy to give him some warmth and protection from the winds.

“Yeah.” Souta smiled, giving a shaky nod. “Let’s go inside.”

! - !- !

Souta was happy to be carried in by Inuyasha, he was even fine with it when he was dropped roughly on the living room couch, his mom would kill him for getting it so wet. “It’s really cold out there.” Souta took off his wet jacket and hung it someplace nearby to dry, then he headed for the bathroom to get a towel. “You must be freezing Inuyasha.”

Inuyasha looked around the familiar settings, folding his arms across his chest. “Not really.”

A few seconds later Souta reentered the room with the towel he’d gone fore in hand, rubbing it vigorously through his wet hair. “Really?” After padding himself dry, Souta next moved on to a dripping wet Inuyasha in an attempt to stop the dripping. “Are you sure your not sick?”

Inuyasha wished this was as simple as just being sick, at least then he could take some medicine that would at least help him a little. But what worked for overheating? Besides really cold water? “I don’t get sick, remember?” He started wishing his was back outside, but if he couldn‘t do that then he could at lest do the next best thing. “Hey, you got anything cold?” He wasn’t going to be too picky, he just wanted something, anything cooler then he was. This heat was just to much...

Souta still couldn’t see how someone who just spent the last half hour in a snow storm would want something cold. Souta himself still couldn’t feel certain parts of his body after being in that temperature for that long. “Cold?...Hey! I got it!” He exclaimed with realization forming that he did infact have something Inuyasha might like, turning and rushing to the kitchen. “I’ll be right back.”

“...” Inuyasha stripped himself of his shirt and tossed it aside someplace on the floor far off, 3 minutes in the house and he was already as hot as he had been before. ‘Damnit, why wont this end?!’ His mind shouted, Inuyasha particularly hated this because heat seemed to have the effect of sapping strength, and concentration, he was just completely out of order. This wouldn't be a good time for him to fight a demon. It also made breathing harder, he was starting to pant in a dog like manner, and he didn’t even care about how it looked at the moment.

See, heat dose sap concentration too.

Trying to keep his mind focused on that single thought, Inuyasha sat down on the same couch he dumped Souta on to before. His head dropped back lazily, his mouth hanging open lightly while he panted with heavy breaths. Through all of this, one good thing did come out of it, his sense of smell. It was amplified, it would never be this strong when he was out of heat. He could smell Souta coming before he could even hear him.

“Inuyasha.” Souta returned into the room with something round and large in his hand along with two spoons.

“What’s that?”

Souta jumped into Inuyasha’s, resting his head back on the Hanyou’s chest. Inuyasha was warm, hot even, while he himself was cold, it was working out for both of them. “A gallon of strawberry Ice-cream.” Souta sounded excited when he said this, “It’s my favorite.”

“What’s this stuff?” Inuyasha leaned over Souta’s shoulder, looking questingly at the food item sitting in the boy’s lap. His hands questingly slipped around Souta’s side to touch the container.

Souta smiled, pushing himself back into the surrounding warmth. Ice cream wasn’t the best choice for a person who was cold, but as hot as Inuyasha was he’d be warm in no time. “Here.” Souta placed a spoon in Inuyasha’s hand, but seeing Inuyasha’s hesitation, Souta dipped his spoon into the pink ice cream and said “Taste it, it’s really good.”. Then he tilted his head back just enough to see where he was aiming and pushed the spoon into a surprised Inuyasha’s mouth.

Inuyasha mumbled something incoherent before swallowing loudly, it was good, and most importantly it was really cold. “Not bad.”

Souta closed his eyes and dipped his own spoon into the container, bringing it blindly and almost mechanically to his mouth to devour. “See, I told ya it was good.”

Apparently Inuyasha thought so too but he was too busy eating to say it, he especially liked the fact that it was cold. Happy that Inuyasha agreed with his favor of it, Souta scoped another spoonful of the frozen substance and pushed it into his mouth, making him shutter slightly from the chill he was getting.

Souta paused for a moment with the spoon still hanging out of his mouth, then he pushed himself back farther into the heat of Inuyasha’s body to farther warm himself. He was caught comfortably in the void of two conflicting temperatures. “Inuyasha?”

“Hmm?”, Inuyasha asked, some time between when Souta last looked and now he had pressed his nose against the boy’s neck, he couldn’t help himself he just loved that scent.

“Do you...“ Souta hesitated, becoming suddenly shy. “...Like me?” Souta held his head down and spoke nervously, he couldn’t seemed to find the resolve to look at Inuyasha when he said this.

“Not when you act like that.” Inuyasha grunted, rolling his eyes. “You gotta stop doing that.”

Souta lifted his head inquiringly “Doing what?”

“That.” Inuyasha indicated more then a few things Souta was doing right now. “If your going to ask me something like that, be a man about it. Look at me, say it like your asking me, not yourself.”

Souta nodded...and realized that he had his head down again and that was exactly what Inuyasha was talking about he quickly lifted it. He couldn’t help it, he was just naturally shy. “Uh..well--”

“Come on, it’s not that hard.” Inuyasha told him, “At lest look at me when your going to ask.”

Souta paused for a moment, slowly looking back at hanyou though constantly shifting his eyes away from him, he couldn’t keep eye contact, it was too embarrassing. “Inuyasha...”

“No, no.” Inuyasha shook his head, setting the spoon down on the table in front of the couch. “Get off.”

Souta silently rose out of Inuyasha’s lap, sitting the container of ice cream down on the table. He was grabbed by the shoulders and turned around abruptly to face the half-breed.

Inuyasha folded his arms, looking over the boy carefully. “Lift your head up.” He commanded.

Souta hesitantly lifted his head, but awkwardly shifted his eyes away under Inuyasha’s intense gaze.

Inuyasha folded his arms and shook his head, he had a lot of work ahead of him. Souta was now officially his work in progress. “Look at me.” He spoke even more commandingly then last time

Souta at first didn’t seem as if he would, he just fixated on the window clouded with snow...but Inuyasha prompted him again and then he slowly focused his eyes on the Hanyou’s chest...not to say it wasn’t a great view and he didn’t mind watching it for a while.

“No.” Inuyasha shook head again, this time he leaned forward so that he was face to face with Souta “Look me in the eye.” he spoke softly this time, just above a whisper.

Souta nodded, shifting his eyes upward just until the brown ones met with the golden ones. “...”

Inuyasha smirked, he was actually enjoying make Souta do this, it was cute. He was going to like working on this project. “Alright, go ahead.”

“Inuyasha...” Souta rubbed the back of his head, more nervous then ever.--

“No, no!” Inuyasha shook his head again, “Don’t do that, if you don’t look like your sure of yourself how am I suppose to believe you?”

Souta nodded again, holding his hands down pressed at his side so that he wouldn’t be tempted to make an action like before. He had a lot of nervous habits, he never knew it until now, so if he didn’t move his hands, or his head, or his eyes, he wouldn’t make one. He knew Inuyasha would call him on it if he did. “Do you...like me?”

“I can barely hear you.” Inuyasha had to resist the urge to laugh, he knew he was having way too much fun with it this but he didn‘t care. “Say it again.”

Souta stiffened and stood up straighter, “Do you like me?” He sounded more sure of himself this time, but apparently not enough for Inuyasha’s liking.

Inuyasha‘s smirk grew into a smile, “No, Not like that, louder.”

“Do you like me!” Souta shouted, looking Inuyasha strait in the eyes.

“Heh heh.” Inuyasha smiled, this next part may have been the protective instincts talking but “Yeah.”

Souta looked up at him questingly. “Really?”

Inuyasha rolled his eyes, leaning forward with the intent of showing him just what he meant by kissed him lightly. Souta wrapped his arms around his neck and leaned closer, moaning lightly when he felt Inuyasha’s tongue start roaming around his mouth. Just as he had built up the nerve and was about to try and mimic the movements done and actually kiss back, Inuyasha pulled away returned to his former position.

Souta sighed, settling himself back into Inuyasha’s lap and picked up his spoon along with the strawberry ice cream still sitting on the table, regaining himself in the twilight of his own coldness and the heat coming from Inuyasha’s body. Inuyasha did the same, again ingesting the ice cream in an attempt to lower his own body temperature, and the fact that it was pretty good.

...Splat.

Souta flinched from sudden cold and a little wet landed on his neck, l it was ice cream that had spilled from Inuyasha’s spoon. He discardingly reached up to wipe it off, but his hand dropped to his side and a deep breath expelled from him. Inuyasha gently ran his tongue across the cool, now warming from the intimate contact, skin of the boy‘s neck, licking off the sweet substance. It felt so good...

Souta dug his spoon into the ice cream, taking a hefty sized scoop and dropping it on his neck in the same spot.

Inuyasha laughed. “Heh heh.” Quite possibly enjoying it more then Souta, Inuyasha pressed his mouth against the boy‘s neck and devoured the ice cream with light kisses and licks. Souta closed his eyes, his head falling weakly back against Inuyasha’s shoulder while Inuyasha continued the administrations.

Inuyasha slipped his left index finger into the ice cream Souta was holding, then spread it teasingly across Souta’s jaw line, followed by a slow pass over by his tongue as he leaned forward enough to reach the spot. Souta tilted his head upward farther, just enough for Inuyasha to seize his mouth in an awkward kiss. This time Souta didn’t hesitate in kissing back, though obviously unsure of his actions while his tongue mingled with Inuyasha’s between their lips. It tasted like Strawberry.

He had enough presence of mind to move the ice cream to the table before he dropped it.

Drawing back, Inuyasha wrapped his arms around Souta’s waist and pushed him down on to his back roughly, an impish smile crossing his lips as he pinned the boy down to the sofa by his chest. Souta lifted up his arms to help Inuyasha pull off the sweater he was wearing, shivering from the chill of cool hair that hit his already cold body. The second shiver was audible, wincing when he felt Inuyasha dropped the even colder Ice cream land on his chest, he knew it would be worth it through.

And it was.

He moaned when he felt the warm tongue streak across his chest, lapping circles along the small indenture centered in his abdomen where most of the pink dessert had landed. Inuyasha’s hands shifted downward, holding on to Souta’s waist, mainly as a measure to keep him from squirming too much, since he was moving around a lot among other reactions he was having.

Inuyasha lowered his mouth to one of Souta’s nipples and sucked lightly, resisting the urge to bite down on the boy’s strawberry flavored skin. Souta moaned, squirming around even more when Inuyasha swirled his tongue hungrily around the sensitive flesh hardened by the ice cream.

“Uhhaa...” Souta’s parted slightly, his hands laid at his sides clinching the pillows he laid on top of hard enough to work a imprint in to the fabric. Inuyasha took another spoonful of the pink dessert and placed it lower this time, spreading it across the boy’s stomach with his finger. This time he squirmed around on account of the cold, shutting his eyes tightly in wait until Inuyasha’s mouth pressed against his skin again and began sucking and licking the substance. The way Inuyasha was using the tip of his tongue, the massaging circles he moved in, how Inuyasha couldn’t resist softly biting down, all of it was driving him crazy “In-Inu...!”

The heat coming off of Inuyasha was warm to enough to accelerate melting of the ice cream, streaming down Souta’s stomach in an light red liquid until it settled in to a quickly overflowing pool at the boy’s navel. Inuyasha particularly enjoyed pressing his mouth around the area and carefully explored every inch with his tongue. Each movement he made drew a loud moan from Souta. “Inu!...Uhaa!...” He was pretty sensitive in that spot, which Inuyasha took note of before proceeding.

That same impish smile was back on Inuyasha’s face when his hands moved from Souta’s waist to unbutton and remove his pants, leaving the boy in nothing but his boxers. He paused for a moment, enjoying the sight of the boy laying with that tense but waiting expression on his face and a light blush spreading across his cheeks from a mixture of overwhelming and overheating. The way his hands gripped anything close as tightly as his strength would allow, the light remnants of sticky and fully melted strawberry cream scattered across his rapidly rising and falling chest from heavy panting, and the erection visibly hidden between the thin fabric he wore. Just looking left him unable to help but continue.

Warm hands slid the boxers down Souta’s legs, releasing his member, which might have been the only place that felt warm on him right now, from it’s restriction. His smile grew wider with anticipation, scooping more of the Ice cream into the spoon he held and laying it on the cock sitting before him. Souta winched and cried out from the sudden cold on a sensitive area, “Uhhhhh.....” He began panting heavily, his mouth opening wide and his chest rapidly rising and falling from deep breaths. “Cold...”

“Just wait.” Inuyasha wrapped his mouth around the boy’s erection, surrounding the strawberry tainted skin with a heat when he blew a humid breath across the head, making Souta moan louder then before. Then he began sucking lightly, his tongue running along the warming skin beneath the concealment of his mouth. A mental smile formed this time when he watched the boy’s reactions, still using one hand to hold him down.

Souta’s back arched off the sofa, his fingernails digging into the fabric hard enough to make a hole. “Inuyasha...!” He moaned, watching through half lidded eyes while Inuyasha swirled a finger around his navel where some melted ice-cream still resided, then he pushed it past Souta’s lips and into his mouth. Instinctively knowing what he wanted Souta began sucking the digit, it was enough to quiet him down and of course he always enjoyed the taste. “Hnnnn.”

Inuyasha pulled his finger back more quickly then Souta would have liked, but he put it to better uses. Souta yelped when Inuyasha slipped it into his entrance, giving a harder lick to the head of his cock as he did so.

The continuous thrusting inside of him, as well as Inuyasha’s administrations finally built up too much. Tears formed in the corners of his clinched eyes and a near shoat erupted from Souta as he came, followed by an uprising of milky white seed that mixed with melted ice-cream in Inuyasha’s mouth to form a sweet mixture. “Inuyasha!”

Souta finally untense as the last of his climax started to fade, leaving him panting in an attempt to catch his breath. Needless to say he was a lot warmer then he had been before.

“Got any more of this stuff?” Inuyasha asked, looking over at the empty container that once held his favorite new snack.

Souta merely shook his head and offered a negative response with an incoherent grunt, still catching his breath. Inuyasha laid down in the narrow space next to him, and since there wasn’t room for both Souta climbed on to Inuyasha’s chest and wrapped his arms around him. Happy to be so close to the pheromone enriched scent that enticed him so much.

“Inuyasha?” Souta waited on his knees above Inuyasha, looking down at him with a light smile.

“Huh?”

Souta lent down, still moving slow and unsure of himself, stopping so close that their noises were almost touching. Inuyasha blinked, wondering what he was doing with some evident confusion in his features. “Eh?”

After a moment of hesitation, or study, Souta smiled childishly and quickly licked a spot of ice cream off of Inuyasha’s noise.

Inuyasha just looked up at him, blinking...then he laughed. “Your coming along well.”

Souta laid his head on Inuyasha‘s chest, closing his eyes. “What dose that mean?”

“Nothing.”

Ring...,

Ring...,

Ring...

Souta ignored the sound for a moment, thinking that he was just dreaming it and dismissed it at first. But when it continued, and he felt Inuyasha stirring below him from the sound, he realized that he hadn’t been dreaming it and forced himself to open his eyes “...Wha?” Souta looked around, confused at first of the source until he spotted the telephone sitting on the table in front of the couch next to the empty ice cream container. “Errr...”

Souta stumbled on to the ground and crawled to the phone, lifting the receiver sleepily to his ear while he sat back against the sofa “Hello?” He mumbled sleepy... It was his mother, and her voice made him stiffen and sit up strait with surprise. “Mom?...Huh, No I don‘t sound like that because I‘m sick, I was sleeping...What?” Souta listened intently as the woman spoke... “Your where?...Really?”

Inuyasha’s ears perked, half listening in a semi-conscious state.

“It’s that bad?” His mother was telling him that on account of the snow storm that she and his grandfather would be unable to make it back home to night. They had gone out of town for a brief trip to visit a relative, it was a 2 hour drive each way. Roads weren’t exactly safe in this weather, and looking out of the window Souta could see why. Snow was still falling just as heavily as he’d last seen it, if it wasn’t a blizzard before it was certainly one now. Which raised the question, what time was it, and how long had this storm been going.

Just from a second look outside and the clock mounted on the wall he could see that it was pretty late, nightfall around 10 ‘o clock. He’d been asleep for a few hours. “Hmm...that’s to bad I guess.” Souta tilted his head back, resting it on Inuyasha’s leg. “So when are you going to come home?” In short, when the road was safe to drive on again. “I guess there’s no way to tell that kind of thing...No! I’m fine. I’m not sick!... I‘ll be fine! yeah, ok.” Souta listened for a few more moments to his mother talking worriedly, coxing him to stay in bed and get his rest since she still thought he was sick. Finally after expressing how sorry she was, they hung up.

Normally Souta wouldn’t have liked being in an empty house by himself, but luckily, he wasn’t by himself.
