Chapter 2
Arrival

(Inuyasha’s P.O.V)

Damn wolf, Damn monk, Damn all of them! I know I wanted them to leave me alone but the
situation has gotten out of hand, and Kouga isn’t calming my nerves with his constant glances
witch are border lining on gawking. I know I’m in heat but it shouldn’t be affecting him this
much, Damn I’m screwed, and hopefully not in both scenes of the world. I admit I did get
myself into this mess by not telling Kagome I was going to turn human before she left but still…
Damn it Kouga, I’m going insane, why does he have to smell so good…if only I could get him
to… NO, NO, NO! This is the heat talking I have no feelings for Kouga… Even if I did he
would never like me like THAT!... That would be interesting if he did…(Starts daydreaming
about Kouga naked if a field of flowers, hehehe)… No this is wrong! I have to stop thinking
like this Damn ME and my perverted thoughts. (Couple seconds later) Why does his cave have
to be so far away, we’ve been running for a hour, this usually wouldn’t tire me out but for some
reason since this heat has started I get tired even if I walk a block, Damn I’m turning weak!
Damn I’m also starting to ramble, and talking to myself which I don’t take as a good sign, man
I’m so tired…

”Kouga are we almost there?”
”Why are you tired?” a voice from behind said a little to close for comfort
”Umm, yea, are we almost their or not!” he snapped
“You don’t have to bit my head off!” he snapped back, maybe I should take the long way
home, hopefully he wound be able to stand it, then he’ll have no choice to let me carry him.

~*~Flashback~*~
“Stop gawking if we want to make it to your cave by dark!” Inuyasha growled, snapping
Kouga out of his wonderful daydream about all the things he would do to his ‘Mate’ when he
got back to his cave. “If you’re in such a hurry,” he smirked “Then you’ll let me carry you.”
“WHAT?!”
“Since your in such a hurry it would be a lot faster if I carried you, considering I have the jewel
shards in my legs, besides it looks like you’ll fall asleep any second.”
“NO WAY, I’m not some weak woman that needs to be carried around.” (no offence to
females, I’m one so I’m not bashing us!)
“I’m not saying you’re weak,” Kouga said apologetically “But being in heat has made you tired,
and I would be touching you which would help to relive the pain.”
The stupid wolf does make a good point, but the smirk that appeared on his face when he said
he would be touching me is setting of warning bells. “No I’m not going to be carried,” he
forcefully said, “come on.” and with that said Inuyasha began to walk in the general direction of
the cave.
~*~End Flashback~*~

Maybe I should have let him carry me… NO, I’m not going to be taken advantage of, even if I
wouldn’t mind…
”Inuyasha are you alright you don’t look so good?”

A nasty looking red was covering Inuyasha’s face, and his eyes were glossed over. Damn
Kouga thought, his fever must be coming back.
”Inuyasha?...”
Oh damn this stupid feeling is coming back. I can’t stand this. Letting out a painful moan
Inuyasha leaned against a tree eyes tightly closed, mouth open, and heavily panting. (No pun intended)

Kouga was watching him with a smirk on his lips but also a concerned look in his eyes.
He didn’t look good, and this will only get worse and time goes on. Inuyasha was now sitting
on the ground, his arms wrapped around himself and his knees pulled up against his chest. His
head buried in his arms. Kouga crouched beside his ‘Mate’ and gently place his hand on his
shoulder, right away Kouga felt the muscles under his hand tense and saw Inuyasha pull his legs
closer to his body.

“It’s alright Inuyasha, just let me carry you to the cave and everything will be fine.” Kouga softly
said into Inuyasha’s ear gently rubbing his hand along his shoulders and slowly making his way
down his lower back.

Inuyasha tensed the second Kouga touched him but slowly relaxed as he gently rubbed his
back. Inuyasha listened to Kouga and could sense genuine concern in his voice, Damn it.
“Fine,” Inuyasha said. I can let my pride fall for now, besides at this rate we’ll never get there,
and being this close to Kouga won’t be all bad… What! Were did that come from!?

Kouga smiled, finally that stubborn mutt decided to accept my help. Kouga slipped his arm
underneath Inuyasha’s legs and picked him up bridal style. After a few minutes of positioning
Inuyasha saw his legs were wrapped around Kouga waist and his arms were around his neck.
Kouga started running through the forest to his cave. He was happily surprised when he felt
Inuyasha nuzzle into his neck and quickly tightened his grip on his mate, its seams all my
persuading has finally gotten through to him. Kouga couldn’t help himself from constantly
looking down at the silver haired beauty and smiling every time a breeze would hit his ears
causing it to flick, it was so cute. (aww, I can imagine it so cute.) Kouga walked into his cave,
the few members of his pack were lying around on the floor sleeping soundly.

Kouga quickly walked past them and into his private room at the back of the cave and laid
Inuyasha on a slightly raised bed covered in a variety of furs. Kouga heard Inuyasha moan in
disappointment when he felt Kouga’s body heat leave. “Don’t worry love I’ll be right back.”
Kouga whispered in his ear. Inuyasha surprised himself by not snapping back or saying
anything, he was in a daze but not that far gone that he could hear of see what was going on.
Meh, tonight he would let it pass and figure things out in the morning.

Kouga walked back to the entrance of his room and growled at all his pack members that were
standing outside his door practically drooling over the demon in heat lying behind him. “Don’t
even try.” He growled, eyes slit and ready to fight any of his members off.

All of the pack members looked from Kouga to one another and reluctantly headed back to
their sleeping spots. Mumbles from the wolf demons and wines from the wolves could be heard
as Kouga closed the thick wooden door and double-checked the lock.

Kouga’s gaze fell back to the reason for all the tension in the room. Inuyasha from what Kouga
could see was happily sleeping, and looked completely innocent and sweet, like an angel sent
to him from the gods. The only thing that brought Kouga out of his daydream was the fact that
Inuyasha’s face was covered in sweat and his knuckles were white from clenching the fur
underneath him.

Kouga quickly took of his cloths and armor with the exception of his skirt/shorts thingy, and
crawled beside Inuyasha. Kouga slowly pulled Inuyasha’s top kimono off and stared at his bare
chest. Kouga pulled Inuyasha close to him so they were chest to chest and wrapped his arms
possessively around his waist. Kouga smiled when he felt Inuyasha nuzzle his head into
Kouga’s hard muscular chest. Thing were going better then Kouga had hoped. I’ll make my
move in the morning. My mate will need his rest for tomorrow Kouga thought as he drifted of to
sleep.
