A New Found Love

A/N: Here’s the second part of my story. It took me a while to write it. You know how writer’s block can be. I still think I need a little work on this. So review and tell me what you think. I hope you enjoy the story.

As Miroku walked the image of Sango and Kagome flowed through his mind. He didn’t understand. He remembered the time he and Sango had kissed….

Flashback

Miroku sat in Kaede’s hut reading one of her medicine books. Kagome and Inuyasha had gone down to the river to catch some fresh fish for dinner. Shippou and Kirara were playing with the children and Sango was watching them for the time being. Kaede had been called to one of the villager’s hut because they had come down with the flu and need to be taken care of.

Miroku heard someone at the door and looked up to see who it was.
“Konbanwa hoshi-sama.” Sango said taking a seat next to him. “Nani o yomimasu?”
“One of Kaede-oan’san’s medicine books. I figured since we have a tendency of getting sick when we travel I could learn to identify some plants for healing use.” He told her.
“Oh…interesting…I’m surprised sometime by how responsible and un-perverted you can be.” She said with a laugh.
“Sango-chan, I’m never perverted…I am a very respectable man.” He said placing his hand on her breast.
Sango’s left eye twitched a little and a slap was heard outside the hut.
Miroku brought his hand to his face, “Sango…you can be so cold sometimes.”
“I wouldn’t have to be so cold if you weren’t such a freak.”
Miroku looked at her and she smiled at him. He notice a light brush a pink colored her cheeks. Hesitantly Miroku leaned in a placed a light peck on her lips. Her face became a deeper red and she looked away trying to hide it. After she muster up enough courage she kissed his back quickly. She was so embarrassed she had never kissed anyone before. And she knew she wasn’t good at it. Miroku places his hand on her face and pulled her into another kiss.

End Flashback

Miroku had been so deep in thought that he had been wandering aimlessly for a while. He was far on the outskirts of the village. He saw a nearby tree and decided to take a seat uneatheath it think things through.
“What wrong with you monk?”
Miroku looked around and didn’t see anyone around.
“Up here.”
He looked up and saw Inuyasha in the tree. He jumped down and took a seat next to him.
“What’s wrong with you?” Inuyasha asked.
“Nothing…I’m fine.” He answered.
“If that’s the case why is your face puffy and your eyes red? Did Sango slap you again? I told you to stop grabbing her ass maybe you wouldn‘t get beat all the time.”
“I would have been happier ie hie hit me.”
“…”
“Sango and Kagome were kissing. They’re lovers…they’ve been lying to us.”
“Well…I kind of figured they were going out. I mean… they always acted more like lovers than friends.” He chuckled a little.
“How can you laugh?” He said holding back tears, “I was going to marry her. Why is it that every time I love someone they don’t love me back.”
“I wouldn’t say you weren’t loved. There are people who love you, you just don’t notice.”
“Really…like who?”
“I love you.”
“That’s not funny.”
Inuyasha placed his hand on Miroku’s cheek and brought the monk’s lips to his. “Does it look like I’m being funny?”
Miroku pushed him away and stood up. “What are you doing? I don’t like being made fun of.” He started crying again.
Inuyasha stood up and walked over to him. “Please, Miroku, would I joke about something like this? I’ve always liked you…it’s just…it’s…I knew you would act like this if I told you. And I…I also knew that I couldn’t interfere with how you felt about Sango. So I didn’t say anything. If your not ready for this I understand.”
While Inuyasha had been taking he had back Miroku into a tree. Their bodies we pressed together and the monk was breathing heavily.
“Inuyasha?”
“Yeah?”
“Ki…kiss me again.”
The hanyou smiled and kissed thnk ank again. He had relaxed substantialHe pHe parted his lips a little, Inuyasha took advantage of that and slipped in his tongue. Miroku closed his eyes and enjoyed that feeling that Inuyasha was giving him.
