Growing up boys
The next morning everyone woke up. Kin and Akemi went to train with their father and Shippo…. Wait… where is Shippo?!
“INUYASHA!”
The children and Inuyasha came to the door at full speed at the sound of Kagome yelling.
“What what’s wrong?! Something attacking… don’t tell me there is another bug!”
“No, and that bug was huge! But Shippo’s gone! I can’t find him anywhere and he’s not anywhere near here or I’d be able to sense him.”
“He’s probably gone to the village to buy that pretty fox girl a present. She’s coming tomorrow right?”
“I hope so Kin. If he‘s not back in thirty minutes could you go look for him?”
“Sure…. I’ll bring Kin to help me. He can sniff him out.”
Kin made a face at knowing he would have to rely in his demon side more the his miko side. It made Kagome smile a little bit. Kagome sat in the doorway and looked around for her adopted son. Then her mother walked up.
“Hi mama. What’s wrong?”
“Souta’s gone again, I came to see if he was here.”
“No mama, he’s more then likely in the village courting some girl,” her mother gave a disapproving face. “Mom, Souta pretty much grew up in this time and with him being 17 now he is the right age to marry…”
“Oh I know, he’s even started on his own hut. It just makes me sad. Where’s Shippo?”
“I don’t know. I think he went to see a shop in town for a gift for a fox demon girl. They like flashy things so more then likely some jewelry.”
“Well they probably went together then. You know how close they are. Been that way since they were little. Mind if I wait with you?”
“No problem. Why don’t we go watch the pups train. Akemi and Kin are training their weaker link.”
“You should be there anyway Inu-dear isn’t a miko.”
“Your right Akemi has probably transformed more then once by now losing her temper again”
They got to the back of the house and standing there was the demon lord himself.
“Hello Sessy-dear. How are you?”
Sesshomaru looked at Kagome’s mother. He still didn’t understand how she didn’t ever fear him in the least. But she was as warm as Kagome was so he didn’t think to much on it.
“I am well. Rin on the other hand cannot eat. That is why I have come. Do either of you know a remedy to help her from expelling the contents of her stomach?”
“You mean the morning sickness?”
“No it happens all the time actually.”
“No silly that’s what it’s called.”
“Why call it that if it occurs at all points during the day?”
“Never mind Sessy-dear. Boil some gingerroot and make her drink it if she wont drink it put just a pinch of rosemary for flavor…. It should help.”
“When is she expecting to pop?”
“Pop?”
“When is she going to give birth?”
“Should be within 5 months… any earlier the pup might be stronger then I expected.”
“If it come any earlier it might not live.”
“Oh, no Mother. Demons mature faster so if it comes earlier that just means it’s more demon than I expected it to be.”
“Ok I understand. And you called me mother….”
“Are you not the mother of Kagome, my sister?”
“Yes”
“Then in turn you are as much my mother as you are Inuyasha’s. It’s again a “demon thing” understand?”
“I think. All these years I’ve been here I still don’t know.”
“INUYASHA!”
