Together and finally whole

Everyone’s jaw dropped. They knew it was going to happen but…. Sesshomaru was just to happy for his own good. His smile was big and he just seemed to shine something that had never happened except around Rin.

“So I’m finally gonna have a cousin?”

“Yes Akemi. A little girl..”

“How can you tell Uncle?”

“Because Kin, her scent. You really have not developed your skills?”

Kin humph again sore at the fact his demon skills were not quite up to par. Kagome just came and gave him a nodd.

“No but I guarantee that the skills are antiquate enough to at least keep you from moving Uncle.”

Everyone laughed. There still was yet a spell or an enchantment that could yet hold the demon lords powers. Kagome was the only one confident of her sons abilities.

“Alright pup. I accept your challenge. After we have eaten we shall vacate to the garden and I shall test your true powers.”

They ate and talked about Rin’s pregnancy. Kagome told her what to expect and Inuyasha said that her term might not be quite as long as normal because of the pure demon blood. It speeds up the growth of the pups even Kagome’s had gone fast with Akemi. But she was normal with Kin more then likely because he was more like a miko then his sister was. Rin glowed at every mention of pups. Kagome noticed the way Kichi and Shippo were getting along. She laughed at every joke and he smiled like she was the only one in the room. She nudged Shippo’s arm and gave him a smile.

“Mom… don’t even.”

“What?”

“Don’t embarrass me please!?”

“I wont…… yet.”

“Oh boy, at least wait till he’s in the challenge to ask her questions. I‘ll be to far away to hear….”

“Oh I guess… You take all my fun away you know that.”

“I’m suppose to. How else will I get a mate?”

She glared at him. She thought he was to young to mate but in this age the younger the better. He was mature enough any way she just liked to harass him. They finished eating and everyone gathered in the gardens.

“Are you ready Uncle?”

“Ready enough pup… Show me you skills.”

Kin concentrated for one moment and opened his eyes. They were glowing a bright purple color just as his crest was then his whole body. Nobody moved they had never seen Kin do this before all except Kagome. It was his demon and miko powers mixed as one. The crest and his eyes were his demon part and everything else was his miko powers. He then straighten his arm and pointed toward his uncle. His powers literally fallowed that path wrapping Sesshomaru in the light.

“If this pretty show is all you have you need practice and to hold your tongue.”

“Oh, I’m not done yet.”

He then closed his fists and tightened. The purple light then became chains fastened to some unknown source.

“Now, try to move?”

“Easy”

Sesshomaru tried as his might but couldn’t move. He got so tired that he fell to his knees it was then that Rin got scared and begged him to be released. Kin did as asked and the chains disappeared and he went back to normal the crest on his forehead growing a lot.

“Only eight and can do that?! How is it possible?!”

“I can do the same. I’m more skilled then him and can turn the glow into anything I want with just a flick of the wrist. That particular move not only disables your enemy but as they move gives the user more power which is why Kin didn't break a sweat and why you nearly passed out.”

“Why didn’t you tell me that our son could do that?”

“Because, he asked me not to so he could do this. He knew that you and brother would say the same thing and well he wanted to show both of you.”

Sesshomaru stood and walked to his grandson and noticed the mark going to it’s true size.

“You are truly talented. Your demon skills are not up to par but those skills, combining your abilities into one power. That takes true control. I am proud. Just humor me and train you scenes still. To smell things in the air is a great asset to have. Not to mention you will know what people are feeling without asking. A handy trait to have with your father.”

“What are you saying that I’m angry all the damn time?!”

“No just merely short-tempered. If he can smell it he will know when to stop before he gets in trouble.”

“So your teaching him to be sneaky huh?”

“In a way. But also how many times has your nose saved you?”

Inuyasha couldn’t even count that high so he just nodded. Kagome ran and hugged her son. She was so proud of him.

“Daddy will I be able to do that too?”

“I’m afraid not honey. Your more demon then human, but your scenes will be a lot better without effort and you will be able to have Tetsaiga.”

Kin was jealous but he knew that it would fit her better anyway. Her demon could get the better of her sometimes. Shippo and Kichi by that time were totally ignoring everyone knowing he’d have to leave soon. Rin smiled at her young masseuse giving her an approving smile making Kichi blush.

“Alright everyone. I’m sure Sango and Miroku would like some rest soon so lets get going.”

Everyone waved good-bye and hugs were exchanged with the promise that Kichi would be coming to the hut every week just to get away from the castle. Kin picked up Akemi and Inuyasha held Kagome and both son and father leapt into the forest. The one skill he never had to hone was his speed and it came in handy for long trips like this. Soon they were home and everyone fell fast asleep.
