Shippou and Rin reached
the small stream and began playing in the water. They small ponds with water and
had small sticks and leafs as boats. They laughed and had a lot of fun.

Shippou-chan?

Yes Rin?

-         

Are you really an orphan? The girl’s voice were low.

-         

Yes, but Inuyasha and Ayame took me in, and now we are
searching for those who killed my real parents, said Shippou and dropped a leaf
into the water and saw it swirl around.

-         

You saw all those wolfs? They attacked our village and killed
everyone. Oneesan and I escaped, but they hunted us down. I was dead wasn’t I?

I think so, said Shippou.

-         

I don’t like to be dead. I am glad that strange demon with
his strange sword came and saved me, said Rin. Because I got to met you
Shippou-chan.

She took his hand in her
own and squeezed it a bit and she smiled shyly. Shippou returned the smile with
a soft blush on his cheeks.

Umm, Rin-chan, I was thinking about something. Why don’t you
and your sister come with us? asked Shippou.

-         

That would be great, then we could play everyday, smiled Rin.
Come let us ask them right now!

Both got up and ran hand
in hand back to the field.

Ayame, Inuyasha and Sango
watched intensively at the demon lord. He was planning something, they all could
tell, but what? Ayame turned around when she heard the children coming back and
she kneeled down to greet them.

Shippou-chan? she asked.

Okaasan, can Rin-chan and her sister come with us? Pleeeeasse!!
he begged.

Huh?

-         

Yeah.. Can we.. Please oneesan, I want to go with
Shippou-chan and his new mama and papa, said Rin with her cutest voice.

Ayame and Sango looked at
each other and then nodded.

-         

Of course they can come with us, said Inuyasha without taking
his eyes from his brother. He had been planning on asking the slayer the same
thing, but he was glad that the children had taken the task from him.

YAY!!
shouted both Rin and Shippou and danced around.

Ayame rose to her feet
again and smiled softly. This was going to be good for her adoptive son, a play
mate.

Sesshoumaru’s inner face
smirked. “Perfect. Although will have to put up with my half brother it will
be worth it.” he thought and straightened his pose.

This Sesshoumaru will come with you as well. This Sesshoumaru
has some unfinished business with the Thunder Brothers, stated the chilly voice
osshosshoumaru. His face never showed a thing.

WHAT!!??
yelled Inuyasha, he could not believe what he was hearing. But then again, the
way his brother had been staring at the taijya. “Ha,
ha, my brother has something going for her?? This could turn out to be very
interesting.”

You shall not oppose me brother, said Sesshoumaru with a
snort.

-         

Of course not Sesshoumaru, come with us if you like, said
Inuyasha with an innocent smile.

-         

Inuyasha? came Ayame’s voice from behind.

-         

It’s ok love, I am sure he will behave.

Sango was going to
protest but one look from the demon lord had her blush deeply again and she hid
her face. “What the hell is he thinking about?” she thought and watched
the children still dancing around.

Then let us not waste more time here on this battlefield,
let’s get going, said Sesshoumaru and began walking towards the north end of the
field.

Inuyasha nodded and took
the hand of Ayame and followed his brother. He was still very amused by his
older brother’s actions.
