Chapter 14

Un and Ah lay beside the orb watching its occupants.

"Ah, at this rate we will never be able to leave this cave. They are doing nothing to aid in our cause. All they do all day is practice fighting." Un sighed and watched Sesshoumaru as he watched over the miko and the children while they slept.

"I know Un. This is definitely not going as quickly as I had hoped either." Ah was watching the same scene that Un was. When he quickly brought his head up. "I have an idea." Un watched as his brother sent images to him using telepathy.

"That just might work. Should we try it out this evening? It will be a full moon so that might aid us a little."

"Yes Un, tonight would be the perfect chance to try our new scheme. And if it works we will soon be out of this cave."

Two laughing children jumping upon her awakened Kagome, she grabbed both children and sat them down on the ground beside her and proceeded to tickle the duo.

"Now that was not a very nice way to wake me up. Are you two sorry yet?"

"Yes okaa-san!" The two shouted.

Kagome turned when Sesshoumaru handed her some meat on a skewer and shared hers with the children. Breaking off little bits for both of them. Soon breakfast was done and before she could say or do anything else Sesshoumaru thrust her wooden sword to her. Oh joy another day-spent training under the ever-watchful eyes of Mr. Must Do Everything Just Right.

She sighed and rose and soon everyone was practicing the moves that he taught us. We ended the day with less bruises than the day before but with more aching muscles. Sesshoumaru wouldn't let us quit until nightfall. I tiredly made the last of the ramen while it cooked I took the kids and myself to the river to wash away all the grime from a hard day of training.

"Don't you dare look." Kagome said to Sesshoumaru as she headed to the river.

"And here I thought you were going to invite me to join you." Sesshoumaru couldn't resist teasing her.

"Like that would ever happen." Kagome continued to follow the children into the river. After making sure that Sesshoumaru wasn't looking she quickly undressed and hurriedly bathed. She didn't want him to catch her without her clothes on.

When she was done she headed back to the fire and added the hot water and seasoning to the ramen. She called for the children and sat their bowls before them.

"You have to let it cool a little before you eat." They didn't listen to her and soon they finished their meal. "You may go and play for a little bit before bedtime." She watched them sit beside her and commence a game of I spy. They were just so cute. She looked away from the children to find Sesshoumaru. He hadn't come to get his ramen.

She found him standing in the river washing his face. He didn't have his haori on and the sight of his well-muscled chest spellbound her. She just sat back and watched as he bathed. At least he kept his hakama on.

Shippou was talking to Rin and asked his mother a question. When he didn't get a reply he turned to look at her and found her in a daze looking toward the river. He turned to see what had his mother in such a state and found nothing but Sesshoumaru. What is wrong with her? He moved his hand in front of her face and she still didn't move.

"Okaa-san are you all right?"

There was still no response and now Rin was starting to get worried. Okaa-san didn't answer Shippou and her face was flushed. Was she sick or something? She turned to find her Otou-san in the river and yelled.

"Otou-san something is wrong with Okaa-san!"

Sesshoumaru looked to Kagome and saw her staring at him with a strange look on her slightly red face. He walked to shore and picked up his haori and was glad that Kagome had found some clothes in her bag so that he could have his clothing back. But her scent still remained on his haori and he didn't want to wash it away so he took it off before bathing. He tied his sash shut as he walked to Kagome.

He found her face had taken on a more reddish hue as he came closer to her. He could hear her heartbeat quicken and her breathing was coming in short almost pants. The closer he got the worse her condition became. He was starting to get worried about the miko when a spicy scent wafted toward him. He stopped in his tracks. Now it was his turn to be gasping for breath and his heartbeat that accelerated. He had to fight the urge to let his beast go but as the scent continued to assault his being he knew he was in a loosing battle.

"Kit take Rin and go deep into the forest. Protect her. Your mother and I will come and retrieve you when all is well."

Shippou didn't know what was going on. He looked from his mother to Sesshoumaru. When he saw the reddish tint bleed into the Taiyoukai's eyes he knew that something serious was going on. He grabbed Rin's hand and took off running into the forest. He was just glad that no demons could get them in the orb.

Rin ran behind Shippou casting glances behind her to her mother and father. What was going on?

"Shippou what is happening?"

"I am not sure. But when a parent tells a pup to hide that's what we do. We will find someplace safe to stay and wait for them to find us." Shippou lead Rin deeper and deeper into the forest. About an hour later he found a small clearing with a hollow tree and a small pond in the center of it. "We can stay here until they retrieve us." He spotted some berries growing at the edge of the clearing.

"Rin you pick us some berries to eat and I will find us something to hold water in. At least we have food and water until they come for us." He wondered what was going on back at camp. But he had more pressing matters to think on. He must now protect Rin and himself. I have to be brave for both our sakes.

Kagome watched Sesshoumaru washing his face and chest. She didn't know what was going on with her. Her body felt hot and it ached in the strangest places. She tried to look away from the demon lord in front of her but she just couldn't. She could hear Shippou and Rin talking to her but for some unknown reason was unable to answer them.

She couldn't take her eyes from Sesshoumaru. She watched as he exited the water and headed toward her and the children. She watched as his hands tied the sash around his waist and all she wanted to do was tear it from him so that his haori was left open and she could gaze at his wonderful chest.

What is wrong with me? What am I thinking?

As he came closer to Kagome the aching in her body became stronger. She could feel her body pulsing with the ache. Thoughts of Sesshoumaru just kept popping into her head. She saw him back in the river but this time he was nude. Then she pictured him holding her and caressing her body.

Her body was getting hotter and it was getting harder to breath. She had to pant just to get air into her starving lungs. He came closer and she all but caught fire. Kagome was surprised the children didn't go up in flames. Kagome watched as he suddenly stopped. She saw his mouth moving but could hear no sounds coming from him. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Shippou grab Rin's hand and take off into the forest.

Where are they going? And why are they running? Kagome tried to go after the children but when she rose she couldn't get her feet to move so that she could go after them.

Her gaze centered on Sesshoumaru once the children were out of sight and she saw his red eyes glowing back at her. I am so dead now. At least with Inuyasha I could sit him when his demon blood got the better of him. How do I deal with a taiyoukai whose blood beast has taken over? Sitting him is out of the question. Think Kagome what have you used besides the subduing spell on Inuyasha when his beast took over. I guess since I am about to die anyway it is worth a shot.

Her feet moved her closer to Sesshoumaru. Sure take me to an out of control taiyoukai but don't let me go after my children. She ignored the ache that was pulsing through her body. The closer she came the more she ached and the hotter her body got. When she reached Sesshoumaru, Kagome had to fight back the urge to tackle the taiyoukai and have her way with him. Her body was so hot now that it was all she could do to keep to her plan. She placed her hands on either side of his face she pulled his face down to hers as she stood on the tips of her toes to reach him.

Kagome pressed her lips to his and unlike Inuyasha he returned the kiss, whole heartily. They broke apart gasping for air. She looked up and saw the still red-eyed lord in front of her. Kagome sighed well that didn't work all that did was make my body hotter. Before she could think of anything else she was pulled against the chest she had been so obsessed with. He claimed her mouth again but this time with more passion and hunger. All she could do was moan into his mouth as he deepened the kiss and all but absorbed her into his body.

Sesshoumaru was shocked that she actually and without fear walked up to him when he was on the verge of loosing control to his beast and kissed him. As her lips touched his he lost the battle with his beast. He could feel his fangs lengthen and small hairs appeared all over his body. He managed to subdue his beast to stop the transformation into his youkai form. But he lost the battle and knew that soon the miko before him was going to be his mate. The matter was now out of his hands.

Sesshoumaru pulled Kagome tightly to his chest and kissed her again. He ran his tongue against hers in a battle of wills. It didn't take long for Kagome to submit to him. He took his claws and cut the obi and her kimono opened to reveal an odd contraption keeping her breast from him so he again used his claws to remove this obstacle.
