Love: Lost and Found

The group concluded that the remaining strong soldiers carry them back towards the palace. They eacho got on a soldier's back and they all ran non-stop towards Sesshoumaru's. One they got there they see that Kagome was awake and healed. Sango was relieved at this and Miroku was getting weaker by the minute. Kagome saw her friends and healed them all and commanded them to rest for the rest of the night. She turned and finally healed her mate and told him to do the same also. She then went to check on the kids as they were sound asleep as if they didn't know what had happened. She retired to her and her mate's room and readied herself for bed. When she got into her bed she is greeted by her mate's arms and went into a tiring and blissful sleep.

Morning came for the entire palace and everyone was up and ready for a new day. Miroku, Sango, Inuyasha and the kids were at the dinner table. Kouga left earlier that morning to go to his pack. Then the Lord and Lady entered the dining hall and Sesshoumaru pulled the chair out for her and then he seated himself. Kagome had a hunch as she looked at MIroku.



"Miroku?"

"Yes?"

"Would you unwrap your hand? I got a feeling that since Naraku is dead that your curse is gone".

"Uh, sure". And with that, Miroku carefully unwrapped his hand with his wife looking intently at him. Once he unwrapped it, his eyes went wide and said, "It's gone! I'm free!".

"Thought so. Congradulations!"

"I don't believe it! I'm so happy!" Sango said as she hugged her still shocked husband. "Now we can have a better future".

"I-I suppose, yes".

Kagome giggled at her friend, "Now you two can plan to start a family".

"Feh! I'm surprised that she isn't pregnant already the way they go at it".

"Inuyasha, shut the hell up!" Sango said getting angry by the second but calmed down to speak to her sister. "Uh, Kagome?"

"Yes Sango?"

"Um...well...uh"

"Sango, what is it?"

"See I...uh....damn it, I can't get it out". Inuyasha snickered at what she said.

"Well, you'll tell me eventually, right?"

"Yeah. I think that it's better if I tell you privately first".

"Sure....Inuyasha, what are you going to do now that Kikyo is finally resting in peace?"

"Feh, who knows?" Inuyasha said crossing his arms over his chest.

"Looks like somebody woke up with an attitude" Shippo said eating his breakfast.

"Shut up squirt".

"I believe this is a new day for a new life of peace, for all of us" Sesshoumaru said as everyone nodded in approval, except Inuyasha.

Six months has past since the death of the vile hanyou and everyone was having a good life for themselves. Sango is four months pregnant with their first child. Her and Miroku couldn't be happier. Rin and Shippo had become bestfriends knowing that they are step-siblings. Inuyasha had taken a job in patrolling the Western Lands giving his brother more time to attend to other matters. Kagome is six months pregnant and is ready to give birth at any second. Firiel had been by her side every since she was in her last month. An hour later, while Sesshoumaru was in his study, Firiel came bursting through the door.



"M'Lord, it's Lady Kagome! She's at the healer's wing. She's in labor, you must hurry".



In no time at all Sesshoumaru sped to the healer's wing and to his mate's beside. She was panting and heavging as the last contraction went through her body. The healer was giving her water to drink and placed a cool cloth across her forehead. The healer then instructed the demon lord to wait outside the doors as Kagome was about to give birth at any second. Due to tradition, the fathers aren't allowed to witness the birthing. After what appeared to be hours were only minutes, the healer walked outside and escorted the impatient demon lord to his mate's side.



"Hey".

"How are you?"

"Tired, sore, but fine". He noticed a wrapped blanket in her arms.

"The pup?" Kagome nodded.

"Do you want to hold your son?"

"Yes". Sesshoumaru carefully took the bundle and opened it slightly to see his son. The heir of the Western Lands.



The child was identical to his father, but his striped were green like his mother's. He has his father's golden orbs and his mother's lips. The bluish purple cresent moon rests on his forehead. He has small amount of silver hair on his head with black tips at the ends. He had a small tuff of his tail on his rear. He had small claws on his finger tips. He has no fangs as of yet. He giggles as his father lightly and carefully touches his hands. Sesshoumaru was very proud at what he and his mate created.



"What shall we call our son?"

"I shall call him, Tamaru".

"That's nice. I like it, Tamaru" Kagome said as she fell asleep.

"Today, my son will be a new day for you. You have family and friends that will love you and care for you and protect you with their life. No one will ever bring shame and embarrasment to you, my son. This is the first day of a new life...for everyone". And with that he leaned over and gave his now sleeping son a kiss on the cheek as he sat back on his chair and looked toward his mate and smiled. Yes, today is the first day of a new life.
