A Demonic Love Story

The battle had left the Inu-tachi very vulnerable due to severe injuries. The knowledge that they were not going to get very far further damped the groups’ mood. To make sure the group could recover without the hassle of wondering demons and Naraku’s minions Kagome had place a powerful barrier around the clearing her injured mate and comrades were at so that she could set about in assisting their severe injuries. Sango-chan’s injury was the easiest to fix and needed minimum amount of bandaging and healing energy. Miroku’s injury was not overly too hard to cure but did require a little more healing energy on Kagome’s part so that she could purify the miasma he sucked into the void. Kouga-kun’s legs required a good cleansing and a descent amount of miko healing energy plus the aid of numerous stitches to help him heal quicker. Inuyasha’s injuries required more miko healing energy than anything else with a little bandaging to help the bone mend quicker and properly in a timely fashion.

Sesshoumaru’s injuries were the worst. With the help of Kiarara Kagome had Sesshoumaru’s body moved to a more secluded corner of the clearing away from the others prying eyes. Kagome wanted nothing more than to weep for her injured mate but she knew she most be strong for both their child and him. Very delicately Kagome peeled off her mate’s outer haori which was drenched in his blood. The sight of her mate in this condition brought a sob to the surface but she continued to undress her mate so that she could attend to his massive wounds. She slowly but efficiently cleansed his wounds. She slowly and methodically infused a majority of her spiritual healing energy into her mate’s massive wound so that his internal organs could mend themselves more efficiently and quicker than his demonic healing powers would allow for. Once the internal damage was repaired Kagome set about the task of stitching the remaining slash that stretched across her mates’ abdomen. Once she was done with her mate’s stitches she applied an anesthetic healing paste over his stitched would so that it would heal quicker without infection and dull his pain some. In the midst of applying the bandages around his abdomen and upper torso Sesshoumaru lethargically awoke from his state of unconsciousness to see his mate tenderly taking care of his wounds and silently crying for him. He was deeply touched by her actions and swiftly pulled her unawares body closer to him. Shocked but beyond happy that her mate was awake made Kagome shed tears of immense joy and she showered her mate with love filled passionate kisses that let him now how much she loved and worried for him.

Sesshoumaru slowly moved his arm around his mate so he could lock her petite waist into his warm and strong embrace. He swiftly placed a demanding kiss filled with love, worry and longing on her soft rose petal lips. Kagome not realizing how fatigued she truly was began to melt and tire willingly into her strong mate’s embrace. Sesshoumaru could sense his mate’s fatigue and huskily whispered into her ear to rest and that he would protect her and their pup. Kagome slowly nodded her head and cuddled up closer to his warm muscled chest while he wrapped her delicate body within the confines of his warm furry tail to keep her warm while sleep finally took over her exhausted body.
