Hiring; Kind Of
A/N: I'll have to agree with ya Diane, he has a nice bod. My sister suggested the same thing about the bag and Kurama's pic. If I were to write a fic with that pairing could always give him a nice size **** and be awesome with his mouth.
Chapter Twelve
"See I told you my wards worked well. We were perfectly safe in this house." Grandpa boasted as the girls sat on the couch. Sango had her shirt off sitting in a bra with a towel covering her front. She had scratches going down her back, that needed tending to. "Next time you girls will stay here where its safe."
"Sure grandpa." Kagome started to clean out the wounds, "They won't need stitches but they are pretty deep. Sorry if this hurts."
"I'm fine."
Kagome sighed, Souta was standing next to her watching. Souta opened his mouth, "How did you get that huge scar?"
"Souta!" Kagome slapped him on the head. "Don't be nosey." She placed Sango's hair over the scar hiding it from view.
There was a knock at the door and the boy went to go get it. He looked to make sure it wasn't a monster. "Yeah what do you want?" He was mad at his sister for hitting him and taking it out on the visitors.
"I take it Kagome Higurashi is here." The man spoke past his pacifier.
"Yeah, whats up with binky?" Souta moved out the way when the man walked inside followed by two other men. "Hey, you can't just barge into someone's house. Grandpa."
The old man came running forward slapping a sutra on the man's forehead. "Begone."
Koenma looked at the piece of paper stamped on his head, he blew out a breath and it fell to the floor. "I'm just glad the girl's actually works." He looked over and saw the two girls sitting on the couch looking quite red faced. "Sorry did we come at a bad time."
"Not really, who are you?" Kagome spotted the two men standing behind him. "Let me guess this Koenma."
"Yes that would be me. I've come to speak to you."
"Can it wait a few minutes? I'm busy right now." She turned her attention back to cleaning the scratchs. "This one has cloth in it, I'll have to get it out."
"Just do it." Sango could feel eyes on her. She felt Kagome stick the tweezers inside trying to pick the material out.
Kurama heard the girl's intake of breath, "You are doing it wrong." He walked over to the miko and took the tweezers from her. "Allow me or you will cause it to bleed more making it harder to get the material out."
"Fine." Kagome stood up letting him sit behind her friend.
"You'd see better if you had moved her hair out the way." He grabbed her hair and placed it over her shoulder. His eyes came down to land on the scar. His hand froze and his eyes widened. Was it possible for this girl not to only look, smell, and sound exactly like her. Then to have a scar identical as well? "Where did you get that scar?"
"Not you too, what the hell? Is being nosey a male trait." Kagome yelled at him. "None of your business, either clean the wound or get the hell off the couch."
Sango lowered her head, why did he want to know? It wasn't important how she'd gotten it, not to him anyways. She felt him place his fingers on her skin. It caused her nerves to come alive, this wasn't good. He was digging something out her flesh; and she suddenly felt like turning around and him if he wanted to play doctor.
Kurama concentrated on the job at hand. The whole time his mind was racing, resemblence aside; even his body seemed to react to her in the same way. Was it because she reminded him so much of the other girl? It had to be the reason why. "There." He stood up and let the miko finish.
Sango went upstairs as soon as Kagome bandaged her up. She changed into a pair of jeans and another shirt. She left her hair down and went to see what was up.
"I would like to thank you for your help earlier, Kurama informed me that it was you that cleared up the sky."
"I guess so, so what do you want?" Kagome wondered what would happen if she snatched that thing out his mouth.
"I want to hire you. I don't believe our crisis is over. I want both of you to join my team in finding out what is causing this." Koenma saw the other girl come back down. "I'm very pleased to find that someone with your abilities have shown up. It opens up a new method of research for us."
"Huh?"
"I'll show you later. So what do you say?"
Kagome put her finger to her chin thinking. "Well I don't know, do I get paid?"
"Course not." He was outraged.
"Then you aren't hiring me, you are begging me for my help." She screamed at him, "There is a difference you know."
"She's got a point."
"Shut up Hiei, you aren't helping." Koenma glared at the little man. "Fine, will you help us?"
"Okay only if Sango wants to." She turned to her friend, "Since we will be risking our lives and all that."
Sango looked her friend over and back at the binky man. "Whatever, I should be dead anyways. So not like risking my life is a big deal." She walked into the kitchen to see what there was to eat.
Koenma lifted his brow, "What did she mean by that?"
"Oh nothing. We will help, so what do you want?"
"First you will both take what you need and return to Kurama's. I will bring the books there for you."
"I don't like this." Sango threw a shirt into her bag. "I don't want to hang around those people."
"It shouldn't be that bad, Kurama told me that we can have his spare bedroom."
Sango turned on her, "That's only because everyone thinks me and you are lovers."
"Well, at least we won't have to worry about no one hitting on us." Kagome started laughing. "It seems to be keeping Kurama from hitting on you so far."
"What is that suppose to mean?"
"He stares enough and I saw the way his fingers lingered on your back. He must like something about you." A giggle escaped her. "Maybe I should plant one on you in front of him, see if he gets jealous."
"Try to kiss me and get hurt." Sango placed the last bit of clothes in the bag.
"Come on lighten up, it's kind of funny that they think we are going at it. Think of it this way, it will stop any unwanted advances. Unless you want him to hit on you." Kagome peered at her.
"Spare me, he might be like his friend. You know the one that wanted to change your mind."
"Ewwww, don't remind me. Like I'd let him touch me."
"I bet you'd let the little one try and change your mind." She had her there. "I saw the way you threw yourself at him on the roof."
"I was just happy." Kagome explained. "And I didn't throw myself at him."
