Too Much Time On Their Hands

Kagome was at first afraid when the demons entered her room. Sesshoumaru had not changed, but Inuyasha had quite a bit. She went to purify them, but Inuyasha’s tears stopped her. Both demons knelt before her as Inuyasha pulled out the jewel that was coated a bit with his blood. He did not have time during the travel to do things like he wanted and Sesshoumaru had freaked out on him stating that Inuyasha should wait until the baby was born before he ripped the damn jewel out of his body like he did. There was now blood all over the nice white sweater he had been wearing. The khaki slacks were also coated with it. Sesshoumaru understood, but had been still growling about the wound when they arrived as Inuyasha kept slapping his hands away saying the wound was healed and he was fine.

“I am so sorry Kagome. I have no excuse for what I did to you and your family. Hate me forever, banish me, or do what you have to by purifying us. We won’t be causing you harm again. You brought us together and we love each other. We won’t leave each other alone in this world so if you are going to take my life you have to take both of us since we love each other too much to live without one another.’
“The jewel is once again yours. So now we are done with that thing. It is up to you to care for it. I should not have taken it, but we could not have this without it.”

Inuyasha lifted his shirt to show Kagome the baby that was growing in his belly. Kagome rushed to both brothers hugging and kissing them shocking Sesshoumaru. He expected anger, hate, or even fear. Not tears of happiness and this affection. Humans were indeed strange sometimes and wonderful at times too.

“Oh I am so happy for you both! Please get up from the floor. It is not like you Sesshoumaru especially since you are a Lord. You are not to ever bow before anyone. That is below you. You are still a Prince of Japan, make that a King of Japan and I won’t have it.”

Kagome stated smiling as Sesshoumaru smiled standing up feeling better. Inuyasha did too. Kagome hugged them both tightly sighing at the handsome men she loved. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha both suddenly realized how truly beautiful Kagome was. The woman was beautiful in body, spirit, heart, and soul. She had more love and more beauty as a human then she ever could as a demon. It would be wrong to change the wonderful emotions and Inuyasha then realized that her Mother had been so similar. The women in Kagome’s family were kind hearted good people and it made him feel really bad for what he had done. Tears fell from his cheeks.

“Kagome I am so sorry. I………”

Kagome grasped Inuyasha’s face with both hands. She wiped away his tears lovingly with those soft small fingers.

“Inuyasha don’t cry anymore. It is ok. I knew you did not want the jewel to be selfish Inuyasha and I did understand your intentions. I would have been happy to help, but you both are so stubborn sometimes. I know you love me Inuyasha, but I cannot be what you want me to be. I won’t do that and I won’t live as long as you will. We both knew this.’
“I did not want you to be alone and you are not. You both were so lonely and I knew this. I knew you both would be living a long life and that in the end you would both need each other. Be happy in your lives and enjoy every day while you have time. Your powerful Father who you both believe was an immortal was indeed killed so that did not make him indestructible. He was killed so was he truly immortal? No he was not. He was still flesh and blood. You both live long lives, but death is always possible. Do not waste the life you are given even if others die before you. Embrace what you both have and fill each day with memories you both want to keep. If tomorrow does not come do you want only regrets and pain to be your last thoughts?’
“Inuyasha you know better than anyone how that feels. You and Kikyo know this. Why would you wish to do that to yourself a second time? Why Sesshoumaru would you wish to live with such pain after witnessing your brother’s suffering? You both must learn from this and move on with your lives. You have so much to offer this world, so much knowledge, and so many other talents. You as demons do not see that you do indeed have a place here in this world and as much right to live your lives as any of us do. There is plenty of room here for us all. We just have to learn to accept each other’s differences and accept each other.’
“I know that you wanted to give up on everything Sesshoumaru and you were going to kill me. I know why you both did as you have done, but you should not have done it. You should have thought things through better. You are both so very impulsive and quick to anger. One of these days you will regret your impulsive actions. You both need to be much more careful.’
“Your wishes came true, but that does not heal all you have done. Only you can move past those regrets and learn from your mistakes. Do not repeat them or you will both fall into the same traps that Naraku had set for himself. He used the jewel to make his life better by destroying people’s lives. If you do this then you will be just like him.”

Sesshoumaru thought about the wisdom of these words. It was true. They had become just like Naraku in their desire for power and glory. They had become like him in their manipulations and it sickened Sesshoumaru to think of how low they had gone to gain what they wanted. Even to die in the way he planned was not right. He borrowed power to use his family, his pack, and in the end it all bit him in the ass. Sesshoumaru smirked a bit at that thought. It was indeed a good thing that none of it worked too or they would not have what they did now.

“Thank you. I will remember these words Kagome.”

Sesshoumaru stated as he looked down at Kagome with a slight smile to his lips. Kagome smiled feeling better since she was not sure how that would have gone over with Sesshoumaru. Still she was always one to speak her mind even if it frightened her a bit.

“I guess then your family is back right? They probably hate me.”

Inuyasha stated sadly. This had been the place he called home and her family had been so kind to him. They treated him like he belonged to them and accepted him as he was. It felt nice and Inuyasha always felt welcomed here. Now it was over. They probably would not ever want to see his face again.

Kagome was forgiving, loving, and kind. Her Mother usually was too, but what if she hated him now. Kagome’s Grandfather died years ago and so he helped her through that time. All there was for Kagome was her Mother and Souta. He killed them in his demon form. It had been brutal and when he awoke from the rage he tried to cut himself up.

Inuyasha tried to kill himself only to have his body forced back home to Sesshoumaru like he was being called there. Inuyasha could not stop and resist the pull. He ran ignoring the pain and when he returned no one was home. Inuyasha got into the shower to wash away all he had done. He took the jewel and put it someplace safe. Sesshoumaru had already acted and he left the fake jewel at their shrine with everything set in motion even though it broke his heart to know what Sesshoumaru had planned. The one that was used to make a fake jewel in solid form was one of the souvenirs.

Sesshoumaru had plans for them to go to the Drag Queen show and some other things he was keeping quiet. Inuyasha put the jewel in his pocket before they got ready to leave on the flight. Inuyasha knew what Sesshoumaru had planned as far as his death went, but was not sure when he was going to do it.

In some ways Inuyasha hoped Sesshoumaru changed his mind and was not going to go through with it all. He had been so very wrong. It about killed his heart and when Sesshoumaru did all those romantic things Inuyasha forgot all about his own plans. He prayed and hoped that all those things that Sesshoumaru thought about was just a passing mind game he was playing on himself due to living for so long.

Kagome sighed and motioned for Inuyasha to sit with her on the bed. Sesshoumaru leaned against the wall by the window listening.

“It might take a little while longer for Souta to forgive you. You were his hero Inuyasha and I know he wants to see you. Souta knows you were not yourself and is a little afraid of you right now. You know that he has always seen you as an older brother. I know he wants to forgive you so maybe when he comes home from school you can explain things to him. He was really hurt so I hope you both can be friends again.’
“You were always family to us Inuyasha and you still are. You both are to me. We were all a pack even when you went on your own Sesshoumaru we still looked out for each other. We cared and loved each other very much like a family. You saved my life many times and the lives of many others without ever realizing that meant so much to people. You still have so many people who love you Sesshoumaru and I am one of them.’
“You both have been my dearest friends although I did not get much time to get to know you Sesshoumaru until the end of our days together in the Feudal Era. What we had was fleeting and I still recall it. I just did not think you would ever do anything like that with me. I told Inuyasha about it, but he knew. I could not ever lie to Inuyasha and won’t do so. I am happy that I am not with either of you in that way though. I don’t think Inuyasha and I were really meant to be even if we do love each other. I would always be by your side, but as your best friend. I could not be anything other than family to you Inuyasha and I think we both knew that even after some of the romantic times we shared. I did not forget your kisses or the way I felt with you. Still I had to grow up. It was time to put childish things away like your brother said and let you go so you could live your life.’
“I hope you can both now see me as a sister. I don’t have any other family except for Souta now so it would be really nice to have you both and those crazy wolves back in my life. I want us to be a family in this time too. I miss traveling through that old well to see all of you on the other side. I wanted to bring all of you here, but I could not. Jaken, Kirara, Ah-Un, and even some of the rest of our packs would not have felt comfortable here. I wanted to bring them all here and share all of you with this world. I could not live in both worlds although I wanted to. I loved being sister to Sango and I loved Rin. Rin was so special to all of us Sesshoumaru. She really was the sunshine for us all when things seemed so hard. You are going to be a great Father.”

Sesshoumaru wiped a tear away from his own eye and looked away. Rin’s death still affected him after all this time. Now that he was going to be a Father he knew what he wanted for his child and Rin helped him see that. She had opened his heart like no other could.

“I miss Shippo all the time and you don’t bring the wolves to visit me although once in a while Ayame comes by to see me. I miss them all so much. Still, I have a really good life now and although I am crying I am also happy. I get to be with both of you right now. I know I am not alone since we have all of our friends, all of our pack watching out for us in heaven. The nether worlds had not been what I expected it to be and Sara says thank you to you Sesshoumaru. She does play her flute still and is happy to be with her family again.”

Kagome wipes away her own tears smiling at the memories of those she loves so dearly that are now no longer in their lives.

“I forgive you both since I know it has to be hard to live so long. I can’t imagine watching all you love die before you, but I like being a human. I don’t want to change who I am any more then I wanted either of you to change who you are. It is though always your choice to change if that is what you want and I will stand behind you both in whatever decisions you choose to make. That is what a family should do and if you love someone then you are willing to sacrifice everything for them.’
“I would die for you both if need be, but I really don’t want to. I am ready to really live a full life. I hope you both feel the same way now that you have a new chance at life.’
“I got to see Sango. I got to see Rin and everyone I have loved in my life so I got to tell them I loved them. It was so hard to come back here, but I want to live since I still have so much more life ahead of me. I wanted children just like you both do and I wanted my own family.’
“Our friends and family they all miss you both. Your beautiful Angelic Father and your beautiful Mothers told me to tell you both that they love you. They were angry, but they said you would figure things out. They forgive you both and want you to be happy. Sango says to tell Miroku that he is not to worry any more about her not having children since she was very happy with him and will always love him no matter what. Kouga is good for Miroku and they are also going to have a daughter with Ayame. The wolf demons will be around for a long time.’
“My Mother chose not to return. She is with my Father and they are happy. Souta is here though and so Hojo is helping me raise him. He is a really good man and I am also going to have a baby in a few months so you both must come see me again. I want to see yours as well.”

Inuyasha hugged Kagome letting his own tears fall. He was forgiven and he would wait for Souta if Sesshoumaru did not mind.

“Do you mind waiting Sesshoumaru?”

Sesshoumaru swallowed hard since he was still dealing with the memories of Rin. Kagome smelled a lot like his ward had. Rin was always in his thoughts since he did promise not to ever forget her. How could he since she was his very heart and soul? Sesshoumaru knew he would not have half of the good things he had in life or the good feelings in his heart if that little tiny girl had not taught him how to love.

“No. We can wait for the youngling. We both must finish here and Kagome we will be your family if that is your wish. I would be honored to call you my sister. If you have need for anything do not hesitate to ask.”

Sesshoumaru then jumped out the window to walk around the temple. He needed time and air. The room smelled too much like Rin with that flowery smell of Kagome. It was making him feel too many things at once. Kagome and Inuyasha needed this time alone anyway. He would give it to them.

A car pulled up in the driveway and a very handsome young man stepped out with short brown hair. This must be Kagome’s husband Akiyoshi Gakuto Hojo for whom she spoke of frequently to Inuyasha who had been visiting her in secret thinking Sesshoumaru did not know.

Hojo looked at Sesshoumaru and then frowned.

“If you are here to hurt my wife then you had better think twice about it King Sesshoumaru Tashio.”

Hojo growled, which made Sesshoumaru cock his head. Growling…..then he smelled the boy.

“You are not a human. You are a demon, a white wolf demon to be precise.”

Hojo grinned letting his fangs show as his eyes glowed a bit.

“Yes indeed I am and I know you Emperor Sesshoumaru Candrabhana Tashio. Your little brother, Lord Inuyasha Candramohan Tashio is up with my wife then and I see you two brothers have mated. This was expected long ago and understood since this way you hold power even more over us. No one can beat you both when you fight together not that they could ever match you anyway my Lord.'
"Kagome doesn’t know what I am and doesn’t need to. I hope you both will have the honor of keeping my secret even though I am far from happy to see you. I am sure you know why since you both had a part in her death almost destroying me in the process.’
“I am content dying a human lifetime with her. I have waited a long time to be with this woman and no one will hurt her again. Kagome is to have my son and that is my legacy you are messing with.”

Hojo’s clawed fingers were curled into fists just in case the demon Lord decided to fight with him. Hojo knew he could not beat his Emperor, but he would not let him get away with hurting his wife without a fight. He would at least maim the man good enough to keep him from Kagome until she could purify him.

“You could not beat me in a fight little wolf, but I am not here to fight with you anyway. I am here to make sure my mate gets the chance with Kagome that he deserves. He is making amends for his past since I have already done so with your Kagome.’
“We are waiting for the youngling Souta to return from school. Kagome is now my sister so it is you who will have to watch out for me if you hurt her and my mate is pregnant wolf so if you hurt him I will kill you.”

Sesshoumaru stated with an evil smirk. Hojo stopped clenching his fists and had a thoughtful expression on his face.

“So that is what you needed the jewel for. I was hoping that the damn thing would just go away. I hate it since it causes more pain than good. I see why all this mess came about. It makes sense. Do you have a doctor for him or have you two even discussed things that far?”

Hojo stated softly and Sesshoumaru was surprised that the wolf was being so decent. This could not be a wolf from Kouga’s pack since they were all hot heads who did not listen to anything except themselves talking most of the time. Prince Akiyoshi Gakuto Hojo was much too intelligent for that lot and for some reason Sesshoumaru knew this wolf. He just didn't expect him to be here. Where the hell did this one come from then? Sesshoumaru was even more shocked when the wolf read his mind as easily as though he had been speaking to him.

“Oh, I am an Arctic wolf looking very similar to what they call those husky dogs called malamutes. We Arctic wolves were confused with those damn mutts all the time and the ones who are demons look more like you still keep themselves hidden in the coldest parts of the Arctic where humans cannot find them. They only come out to hunt on occasion being mistaken for what Indians once called skinwalkers.'
"I come from a much colder region then this so this place boils me, but I like humans. They are interesting. We had a few up North exploring and I just had to come back to Japan.’
“My Father was born here and my Mother was in the Arctic. He moved us there for a while. We traveled a lot so you probably only saw my Father at the courts once in a great while. I don’t know if you recall King Li Naginata Hojo who was my Father and my Mother was Queen Annabelle Naginata Hojo.'
"All demons here knew your Father the great Emperor and King of all demons Emperor Toga Candranatha Tashio. Better known as the famous Inu No Tashio, Honorable Ruler of All Demon kind, but you were probably younger then I was when my parents and I were at court.'
"I have lived a damn good long life and I am done now. This is my last turn at this mess. I am over 1300 years old and that is a damn long time to live. I have had plenty of wives, children, and I have seen the world change too many times. I only have found one I wished to mate. I finally found my mate and my match. Kagome is the one for me with all of her great miko power and I am ready to settle so I can finish this life with her. We will have powerful children.’
“I wanted to do the same as your brother changing Kagome into at least a half demon, but I did not have the heart to tell her who I am or that I am a full demon. She thinks I am human and I am ok with this. I would not mind being one. They are not as bad as you think. Smarter too then I imagined.'
"You should really try college for a while since there are both demon and human professors. College taught me a lot even if it was a bunch of human professors that seemed to know more than some of the demons. At least that way I don’t make their stupid mistakes over and over again. Healing humans also pays well and I have a pretty good list of demon patients also.”

Sesshoumaru was shocked. He did not know there were more of them still alive.

“You mean there are more of us? How many more wolf since I can’t smell them?”

Sesshoumaru stated unsure, but then this guy smelled human too thinking at first he was a hanyou.

“Oh, that is the human scent cologne some very smart cat demon woman created. We can blend in and no one is the wiser so there are a bunch of us here. I have at least fifty demon patients, but that is confidential. There is a hell of a lot more demons in the United States. Most of them are ignorant though of their true natures and so we let them alone. We have our own problems here in Japan.'
"I still can help you if you like as far as giving you a sample of this cologne so you know what to look for. I don’t usually show off like this, but then I don’t normally have the King of all Demons in my front yard with the Prince upstairs chatting with my wife. I mean we were rivals so you can understand the fact I am not really comfortable with his presence plus the fact he killed her really does not sit with me at all well. I would not hurt the child, but I want a chance to set him straight on my feelings about his actions if you don’t mind. Inuyasha may be your brother and mate, but Kagome is my wife for life.”

Hojo stated with a firm tone and Sesshoumaru smirked. It would serve Inuyasha right for the shit he put him through plus it was only right that Hojo have the opportunity to defend his wife.

“As long as my mate is not to be harmed then you may do what you need to. I would not be as lenient as you well know if it was my mate who was killed, but you also know I would not marry a human.”

Sesshoumaru stated in a rather bored tone crossing his arms and he stood regarding the wolf demon. Hojo was around his age, just a little older. Hojo was maybe 100 years his senior in age, but was acting a fool to give up his demon life to live a human lifetime if he knew there were others out there.

“So how are you planning to die a human lifespan? I mean do you have a plan or are you just hoping that maybe one of us will do it.”

Hojo smirked at this as he watched Sesshoumaru’s eyes knowing that the dog demon lived for the hunt. It would be quite the game too. Sesshoumaru was known to eat demon wolves on occasion since they were the most challenging prey he had dealt with so perhaps it would not be a bad trade.

“I will make you a deal Lord Sesshoumaru. You let me be your mate’s doctor and let me have my moment with him about killing Kagome as well as her family. Then we will discuss the hunt if you wish. I would be honored to be your prey when that time comes, but I won’t make it easy for you. Fair enough beautiful man or do you want my body too?”

Hojo stated with flirting eyes and a wide fanged grin. Sesshoumaru’s mouth curled up in a slight grin.

“Amusing wolf, very amusing and you are very pretty. I would not mind playing with you. We will see when that time comes. I have more than just eating you in mind, but that is also up to Inuyasha if I go that far. I do have my standards.'
"I will allow you to be a doctor to Inuyasha if that is my mate’s wish. We could use a demon doctor since Inuyasha has not one clue on how males give birth. It would also help with avoiding probing questions from the outside world.’
“So continue on about demons and why they play human so that they do not become recognizable by their King. I find this distasteful, but I of course have had to do similar things in public although I do not let my scent change to be like theirs. I would kill anyone who made my brother do the same. His scent is beautiful as is my wolves that I command. You should not hide yours. I can now smell it past that human odor you place upon yourself it is intoxicating and sensual like the arctic mountains you come from. It is insulting to hide such a wonderful aroma that is naturally yours.”

Sesshoumaru stated softly as he took in the wolf’s scent and tried to recall that time when these wolves ran free through his lands.

“Well like you we can change our shapes, facial features, and hide who we were so that way we could live among these people for years. The humans call our kind werewolves. It is amusing, but I guess it explains things for them.'
"We feasted upon them for a time, but now I am domesticated. It is pathetic. I eat medium rare steak and vegetables. Everyone thinks I am on that Atkins diet or I am some health nut. It cracks me up. Kagome just thinks I am gross eating bloody meat, but she tolerates it. She works as a nurse at the hospital and is doing a very good job. I knew she had a knack for healing once we started going to college together. I made up a whole family tree and we do have a few ancestors who are human. Don’t know how my family pulled that one off.”

Hojo stated softly as he looked at the demon Lord who was studying him. Lord Sesshoumaru was mesmerizing him with such beautiful features. Hojo had not ever seen him up close, but had heard stories of the demon Lord’s beauty and it was indeed breathtaking.

The man was aristocratic in every sense of the word with no qualms about whom he was or where he belonged. Sesshoumaru commanded the world without them even knowing he was doing it. The King in person was indeed amazing and Hojo was being flattered by those golden eyes as Sesshoumaru was looking at him with interest taking in all of his features as though trying to memorize him. It was a rare privilege that few demons survived to live to tell about.

“I had some humans in my family not that I ever acknowledged or associated with any of them since they were a blot on my family name. Royal demons do not associate with that rabble unless you want to be annoyed for hours by people who will not live long enough to care about. I have not ever had a use for humans other then short term entertainment which is of course short lived as well.'
"It is not that unusual Prince Akiyoshi Naginata Hojo to have such......creatures in ones family. A hanyou is born and mates a human. If the hanyou is female she can bear children with the human male, but they will be human. If the hanyou is male he will not be able to bear children. If a hanyou female mates a demon male she will have full demon children, if a hanyou male mates a demon female they will not bear fruit. He is born sterile unless on one rare occasion his seed is strong enough with a strong female to bear fruit.'
"Most demon females powerful enough to do such a thing with a male hanyou would not touch one with a ten foot pole since they do not lower themselves only looking for a male worthy of their power who is stronger so they can be dominated without killing the male in the process. That is the way of demons. I do understand our genetics and breeding practices Prince Hojo. I am not a fool.”

Sesshoumaru stated in a bored tone. Then went over to where the tree of life stood looking down at the graves that had once been there. Now they were nothing more than stones with some writing. Still it was a solitary beautiful sight that Sesshoumaru enjoyed. He came here to pay respects to his pack members and sometimes just went there to find some peace from the world.

Akiyoshi Hojo followed the Alpha King. He did not need to be told to follow him and it was simple instinct to do so. It was what had been required of him since King Sesshoumaru was not to ever come to anyone’s beck or call unless he chose to do such a thing.

“I proposed to Kagome in front of this tree. When I came to live here in this Japan again I saw Kagome for the first time and fell in love with her. I could not get my mind off of Kagome. So I went to High School with her since we demons are blessed with youthful faces and bodies I had no problems getting registered. My servants here set things up so that two of them could role play as my parents.'
"Kagome's Grandfather said she was sick all the time with these terrible diseases so I started to study healing arts. She was so beautiful and I could not keep my mind off of Kagome so I had to win her any way I could. I also needed her healthy since I wanted her as my mate and with her powers I would easily be able to have the legacy I desired.’
“I know you had Kagome in your way, but she was still a virgin in the sense that mattered most to her. You let her keep that and you could have taken it.'
"The loss of either virginity would not have mattered to one such as I. I would still have loved her. It was your right to do as you please as King and I knew this. I accepted it. I knew after what you had told her that it was my time and if I did not act then Kagome would be lost to me forever. I could not let that happen.’
“Your brother Inuyasha was so young for a hanyou and still is so I knew there was no way that these two would last. Kagome needs someone to take care of her. She really is a damsel in distress even if she does not think so.”

Sesshoumaru laughed. It was true. Kagome was the ultimate damsel in distress.

“That is very true.”

Inuyasha came down with Kagome. He had a big smile on his face until he saw Hojo. Hojo went up to his wife giving Kagome a kiss.

“How are you feeling darling?”

Hojo asked Kagome. Kagome grinned wide.

“I am very happy Akiyoshi and I am doing very well. Souta will not be coming home since he is spending the night at a friend's house. Inuyasha will have to make things up to him later. You remember Inuyasha right Akiyoshi?”

Hojo looked at Inuyasha frowning.

“Yes I recall him. Do you mind if I talk with Inuyasha alone before you both leave to go home?”

Kagome looked at Sesshoumaru and then at Hojo. Hojo seemed to be ok so far and Sesshoumaru had not killed him so this was good. Inuyasha though did not look too happy.

“Let’s get this over with.”

Inuyasha stated with a frown as he walked away with Hojo. Kagome felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Sesshoumaru who was smiling down at her.

“So show me around this place. I know I infiltrated it causing hell, but it looks like you could use some repairs around here. I know you are both trying to do all this on your own, but now that we are family that will no longer be a problem.”

Kagome smiled and showed Sesshoumaru around the temple grounds.

Inuyasha walked away with Hojo not happy he was going to have to talk to this rival. It had been bad enough having to deal with Kouga in his time, but now this guy had completely taken his Kagome away. In Inuyasha’s mind no matter what anyone said or thought Kagome was still in his heart as his woman.

“So you married Kagome. I remember you. You are that guy at the High School who was in the play that Kagome was acting in. You tried to kiss her and then challenged me to a duel. I wanted to kick your ass.”

Hojo once he got away from Sesshoumaru and Kagome’s sight changed into his demon self.

“Yes I recall that puppy breath. You showed off in front of the whole damn school blowing up the auditorium. Still I am not here to fight with you although what you did to Kagome and her family makes me want to kick your ass.”

Inuyasha smirked. He knew it the whole damn time. Kagome had no clue.

“You are such a liar. I can’t believe you play human teenager. I mean my brother and I are bad since we mess with humans by pretending to be one. Hojo growled at this.

“No instead you lost your temper and killed the woman you loved. I would have backed off and you know it you fucking jerk! I knew you loved her and she loved you. Instead she was left here with the Lord’s damn seed running down her legs. She looked dazed and her Mother thought she had been raped.'
"I was there and you both were damn lucky I was. I took the fucking blame for it and married her. I took that responsibility because I love her and I would not let her be shamed in front of her family. I may respect King Sesshoumaru and I might have to bow down to you Prince Inuyasha I just won’t do that because I would not hurt the woman I love like you both did.”

Inuyasha frowned at that. Hojo was right and Inuyasha fucking hated it.

“So what the fuck do you want me to do now? I could not get here to stop that and you know it. I am glad you did what you did. I am and I have been sorry for my actions. So damn sorry that I took my brother the King of All Demon kind who is my mate, who fucking killed me, brought me back as this, and humiliated him making him beg. I broke my mate and I can't fix that. I am beyond redemption.”

Hojo watched Inuyasha slump to the ground in tears. Hojo then sat on the ground in front of his old rival.

“You made him beg?”

Inuyasha nodded feeling like shit about it.

“I have been to hell and back Akiyoshi. I knew what you were, but I kept your secrets. I knew you loved her and I accept it ok. I did not want to accept it before because I was too fucking insane with pain because I still loved Kagome. I still do.'
"Sesshoumaru wanted to kill everyone since his demon has been dormant too long. He couldn’t help it. It wasn’t his fault and I thought up a plan to counteract it. I had no choice. The jewel was the only way to save us all. It was fucked up, but nothing has been right in a long time for any of us including Kagome.’
“Kagome loves you, she loves me, she loves Kouga, she loves my brother, and pretty much everyone. I don’t know who she hates, but I can tell you I hate myself so I at least have that. I am going to give Sesshoumaru everything he wants. I mean it since I love him so damn much.'
"I did not want to keep this form. I wanted to go back to being a hanyou since that is who I was, but I can’t fathom killing our baby like that now that I have felt it. I want this child. I want us to have our son and I am terrified.”

Hojo looked at Inuyasha as if seeing him for the first time. He was starting to understand him.

“You can’t hate yourself kiddo. You are not allowed to do that. You have your pup to think about and if you hate yourself your pup will feel it. Let me see how far along you are Inuyasha.”

Inuyasha did not care since he was too sad to be embarrassed as he lifted his shirt. Hojo sighed. Inuyasha could have this baby any time.

“Sesshoumaru says about five weeks.”

Hojo shook his head no.

“Make that about five days until your son is born puppy. You are due any time.”

Inuyasha’s face turned white and more tears came. Hojo wanted to comfort Inuyasha, but that was not his place.

“Look kid, you are going to be fine, but you need a doctor. Do you want me to be yours or not? I don’t fucking hate you. I understand why you did as you did even if I don’t like it. I understand you both. You are also right about Kagome I have to fucking tell her what I am so I can do this and this bites.”

Inuyasha sobbed out his words as he was so fucking emotional it was making him insane.

“Ya considering she will have a hanyou who is called worthless like I have been called and then it will be hell for him since he will be all confused about his place in life. He can't have kids or anything. It will suck. I already feel sorry for your pup.”

Hojo pulled a tissue out of his pocket glad he always carried these with him.

“Here dry your eyes and nose kid. You will be fine. My child will not be worthless. Hanyous are accepted in this world and should have been in the other. Your brother is wrong about some of the genetics because the technology these days has changed many things so he will be in for a shock when he sees what we can do.'
"I have many family members who are hanyou who are nowhere near as attractive as you are and you are beautiful so I don’t know what the hell your issue is. I don’t know what your big brother had against you. You make me mad because if I was not a rival for Kagome I would have snatched you up if your brother had not done so already. You are too beautiful for your own damn good. You should be grateful to the Emperor. If it were not for Lord Sesshoumaru you would probably be some powerful demons play thing and mate for the rest of your life.”

Inuyasha nodded cleaning off his face starting to hyperventilate with the stress he was feeling. He felt no better physically since he felt like he was a walking basketball, but it did help to get this shit off his chest.

“Breath kid, you will be ok. Just breathe slowly, close your eyes, and relax. You have support Inuyasha and this is not the first time a demon male has been pregnant. You are going to hyperventilate on me and then King Sesshoumaru will kill me. Now do you want me to be your doctor?”

Inuyasha sat pouting a bit, but feeling a little better as he was calming down finally.

“Yes, I don’t know anyone else and I don’t trust people.”

Hojo smiled.

“Well that is understandable after all you have been through pup. Kagome tells me everything so there is no need to explain anything to me. I probably know more about you then even your brother. You have both been through hell. I am sure you both could use a long break from people.'
"After the baby is born I am sure Kagome would love to watch him for a while and you two will go on vacation. Now that you are family I will insure you are taken care of. It is my duty since you are my Prince and I gave you my word. Just don’t start acting all snobby like your brother ok? I adore him, he is gorgeous, but from one Prince to another I think he has a stick up his ass.”

Inuyasha started laughing. He felt much better.

“It is true he does have one. I put it there.”

Hojo laughed.

“I bet you did kid. I bet you did.”

Hojo then helped Inuyasha to get up and the two of them walked around discussing what things had to be done in order to prepare for the birth. The stupid contraption that he built to torment his lover with would be the same thing used to give birth. The baby would be cut out as soon as he started feeling labor pains. Otherwise organs would be mangled and it would be a mess. Inuyasha was used to pain so this was nothing new. It would be worth it.

Then the lactating would start and he would indeed be feeding his child. That would only last a few weeks and then there was the blood that the child would feast on. He would need to have salve for the pain since as soon as the child was teething since after that first week of nursing he would also be feeding his baby his blood. The lactating would only last one month.

Sesshoumaru would assist with the blood feeding and they would take turns so Inuyasha was not going to be the only one suffering. After six months of this the baby would be on soft foods, raw meat, and lots of water.

Hojo wrote down a prescription for Inuyasha to take some prenatal vitamins, some pain pills that would not affect the child, and a large list of what he was supposed to eat. Inuyasha was now to be on bed rest and on a strict diet.

“Wow this seems like a lot of stuff to remember.”

Inuyasha stated as Hojo smiled softly at the young boy. Inuyasha was such a young thing and so cute in his innocence. It was rare to find one Inuyasha's age who was still so much a child.

Now that he really got to know the kid Hojo felt for him. Inuyasha was a good boy and deserved to be happy. Sesshoumaru was going to have to be extra careful with him for the next couple of weeks and Hojo would indeed cause Sesshoumaru hell even if he was King if he did not take good care of his mate. The doctor’s orders always came before the Kings rule in such situations if both mates wanted healthy happy lives.

Kagome and Sesshoumaru were discussing the old bone eater’s well house that was falling apart when Inuyasha and Hojo appeared. Inuyasha had a huge list in his hand and some prescriptions. He looked like he was ready to cry again. Sesshoumaru cast a curious look at Hojo who sighed since he did not change back into his human like form. Kagome then noticed and dropped the paper she had been writing on as well as the pencil passing out into Sesshoumaru’s arms.

“Well that went over well.”

Hojo stated with a laugh. Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes as Hojo grabbed his mate.

“I will be back. All is forgiven and everything will be fine for you both. Now Inuyasha I am not kidding about the bed rest. As soon as you both leave here you need to be in bed and not moving around.”

Inuyasha looked at Hojo who was scolding him like he was five. Inuyasha pouted, but nodded giving up since he was too emotionally tired to fight. Sesshoumaru then looked down at his mate.

“What did the doctor say and are you going to let Prince Hojo be your doctor since I see you have prescriptions as well as a list there Inuyasha.”

Sesshoumaru stated softly as he tried to sooth his mate knowing that males or females when pregnant tend to be a bit more emotional than necessary. He hoped Hojo was not too cruel to Inuyasha. He had expected tears though.

“He said I have five days before the baby is born and I am due any time. I want him to be my doctor because I don’t know anyone else and he is nice. I was wrong about him. Still five days…… only five days……”

Inuyasha stated trying to sound happy although he was scared to death as Sesshoumaru kept his mate from passing out since Inuyasha looked like he just might do that.

“I see. So this is his list of things you need. We shall get them. Everything on here sounds about right for a demon who is pregnant. I am impressed.'
"You need fresh raw meat, vegetables, and plenty of water. No milk products, no sex since you are due in only a few days, no candy, and no moving from your bed until after the baby’s born. No stress and no one will be rough with you. It is very simple and easy so we can do this.'
"I am also to get you multi vitamins as listed here and these prescriptions. You will need to take the prenatal demon vitamins he ordered from this demon hospital pharmacy he opened up so that both humans can go, but demons will be able to go without a problem. I doubt any other hospital will carry these strange items. That is one reason I miss our damn forests so much and we have that magical herb garden I have to keep up with along with the many healing spells from Father's and Mother's scrolls.'
"We have exceptional medical coverage, but may not even need our insurance for the doctor. I would rather pay him cash and take care of the things he needs here since our son will be born at home rather than a hospital. He will bring all the things you need and I have his number now on my cell.”

Inuyasha felt his baby as it kicked his hand pouting at his round belly.

“I think our son has an attitude Sesshoumaru. He keeps kicking me like he is trying to bust out of there. No patience at all. He takes after your side of the family.”

Sesshoumaru smiled at his mate. Inuyasha was just too cute right now with that full lipped pout.

“I am going to say goodbye for us Inuyasha and then I am taking you home.”

Inuyasha nodded looking at the little foot that pushed up against his skin that kicked him again. It was beautiful and he felt happy. This was frightening, but it was also wonderful. Soon they would have their son in their arms.
