Alternate Ending

Alternate Epilogue

Brothers

She walked quietly through the winding hallways of the Palace, the small child holding
tightly to her hand as she went. His shining silver-white hair floated feathery soft on the faint breeze
blowing through the open window, and he raised his head, taking a sniff of the air as it passed over
the aristocratic line of his nose. Sharp, intelligent amber eyes narrowed, and he glanced off to the
right, gazing thoughtfully out into the garden.

“What do you smell, Matai?” His mother knelt beside him, brushing the silky tendrils out of
his fine features, the small pale blue crescent moon on his forehead coming into view. “Is your Otou
near?”

“Hai,” he nodded, shuffling his feet nervously. “So is my Uncle.”

“Hai, they are always together, youngling.” She kissed the softness of his smooth cheek and
gazed into his troubled eyes. “What is wrong, Matai?” She asked, resting her hands on his slim
shoulders. “You don’t want to see your Uncle?”

“Iie, I want to see him, but... will Otousan ever come home to stay? Why is he always gone
with Uncle Inu? Doesn’t he care about us?”

“Of course he cares about you, pup. Never doubt he loves you more than life.”

Matai abruptly faced the owner of that deep voice, and found his Grandfather regarding him
with a gentle look, his eyes glowing warm and tender. “Then why doesn’t he stay here with us,
Sofu? Why is he always with Uncle Inu? Is Uncle more important than we are?”

“Iie, pup. But your Otousan’s soul is bonded to your Uncle’s, and that is why they run the
winds together. You are proof that he loves your Okaasan, but he cannot deny where his soul must
live. Just as his spirit is bound to the land and it cannot survive without him, he cannot survive
without your Uncle. InuYasha carries a piece of your Otousan’s soul within himself, and they are
twined like grapevines... not even Kami-sama can alter that. I tried to put distance between them,
but it cannot be done. They are what they have become, and not one of us has the power to change
or judge them for it. It is in the very fabric of their flesh and blood. They cannot survive without
one another. They must be together.”

“Then he will never live with us?”

“Iie, pup.” Tashio knelt before the small youkai and pulled him in front of him. “But, he
will never be far away either, Matai. You have only to raise your voice to the winds, and he will
come. You are not forgotten, little one. Not by either of them. They will always be at your side.
Always.”

“I miss him, Sofu.” Matai wrapped thin arms around Tashio’s neck and the DaiYoukai
picked him up. “Do you think he will come home soon?”

“Soon, pup.” Tashio stroked the pale hair and exchanged a gentle look with his son’s mate.
“Soon.”

They ran wild, two spirits free and unbridled by guilt or inhibitions. Barking and howling
with full blooded voices, they crashed into one another and rolled across the grassland in a tangle of
legs, tails, and teeth. Boisterous and uncontrolled, their passions and pleasures knew only the limits
of the sky and the infinity of the space beyond. Pale flesh, golden eyes, claws and fangs, they loved
and played until exhaustion overcame them and they slept within the comfort of each others
embrace.

Sesshoumaru and InuYasha vowed to love and cherish the soul of the other for as long as
Kami-sama let them draw breath, and in exchange, Sesshoumaru was given the most wondrous and
beautiful gift he had ever received. His brother’s heart. It beat strong and proud, fierce and
unyielding, and it belonged to him. None other could lay claim to the hanyou’s affections or
loyalties... not even his human girl. His full devotion and loyalties belonged only to Sesshoumaru.

Their father tried to part their hearts, but it was impossible. One life without the other was
not worth the effort to exist. Only together did they find the joy and excitement they craved, and so
together they raced the winds, howling and laughing at the world as it streaked by in a blur.
Nothing could stop them or sever their bond.

They were soul-mates sharing the same soul, breathing with the same lungs, and one heart
beat their blood. The blood of the greatest love the life-matrix had yet to spawn, and the countryside
flourished and blossomed inside the golden embrace. The brothers flew over the Westernlands,
spreading the bounty of their union to every corner of their kingdom, and life grew in their wake.

“Sesshou? Where are you, Aniki?” InuYasha rolled onto his back, feeling the cool of the
grass tickle his skin as he rubbed the sleep out of his golden eyes. The early morning sun was rising
over the eastern horizon, sending pale pink and yellow fingers of light streaking across the clear sky.
He stretched, growling with pleasure as the muscles in his body flexed and then relaxed. He had
slept well. “Sesshou?” He called a second time, rising up on his elbows to look around, but found
the cozy shaded grove of trees he and his brother spent the night in empty. “Sesshou?”

The sound of splashing water reached his ears, and the hanyou-youkai leapt to his feet and
raced through the trees. He remember the stream and pool they passed the day before, and recalled
his brother remarking that an early morning swim would be refreshing. ‘That’s where you’ve
gone...’ InuYasha grinned and bounded toward the water, him mind already picturing the beautiful
image Sesshoumaru made with his wet hair streaming around his supple, well muscled torso.
‘Sesshou...’

“You’re late, pup.” Sesshoumaru growled with half a smile when Inu burst from the treeline.
“I’ve been waiting for hours for you to wake up.”

“Why didn’t you wake me up, you lazy dog?” Inu groused, wading into the cool water. “It
wouldn’t have taken much effort, you know.”

“Of course, but then I wouldn’t have a reason to growl at you first thing in the morning...
would I?”

“Fucking arrogant... you’re never going to cut me a break, are you?”

“Iie.” Sesshoumaru’s elegant black brow raised haughtily as he offered his brother a pious
look. “Why should I do that?”

“I don’t know? Maybe because you’re tired of the friction between us...” InuYasha yelped
as his brother reached out and grabbed him by the scruff and yanked him hard against his chest.

“Tired of the friction, pup?” he snarled, licking Inu’s trembling lower lip. “Where would
the fun be in not having a little friction?”

“I...” Inu reached up and cupped his brother’s exquisite face. “I suppose you have a point
there...”

“Hai,” Sesshoumaru agreed, his reply husky as he buried his mouth in his brother’s throat,
fangs scraping against the smooth flesh. “Friction is one of the finest elements between us, Saiai.
Without it, we’d get bored.”

“Hmm,” Inu threaded his fingers through his brother’s wet hair, pulling his head closer and
nuzzling the closest ear to his lips. “Somehow, I don’t think boredom would be much of a problem
for us... with or without the ‘friction’, but it does add a nice sliver of spice to things, ne?”

“Hai, little one. It does.” Sesshoumaru’s voice dipped low and he pulled back to seize his
brother’s open mouth in a deep, bruising kiss, his tongue pushing inside the hot cavern to caress the
points of InuYasha’s fangs. “You taste good this morning, Saiai,” he whispered, sucking on Inu’s
tongue and rolling it around inside his mouth. “Tell me, does the rest of you taste the same?”

“You’ll have to tell me,” Inu rasped, pushing his swollen cock against his brother’s taut
belly. “Taste it and find out.” Sesshoumaru growled deep in his throat and gripped Inu’s ass in both
hands, lifting him out of the water, wrapping his legs around his waist.

“That’s a tempting offer, little youkai,” he said, striding out of the water, carrying Inu with
him. “I believe I should accept it... don’t you?”

“H-hai... Sesshou,” Inu gasped as Sesshoumaru knelt and laid him on his back in the grass.
“Taste me, Aniki... Nyyyaaahhh!” His back arched as the heated orifice of his brother’s mouth
closed over his erection and sucked it deep inside. “Seeesshhou! Oh God!” His hips rocked and his
head thrashed wild as the talented stroke of a tongue sent him into panting ecstasy.

“Hmm, delicious...” Sesshou murmured, savoring the satiny texture of Inu’s cock inside his
mouth. “And this? Is it sweet as well?” he asked, raising one of his brother’s legs high so he could
dip his tongue into the cleft of his ass, twirling it around the quivering sphincter until Inu’s whines
reached a fever pitch. “Hai, it is sweet... so sweet...” He pushed inside and started to stroke the
tender, sensitive flesh, lifting the other leg until both were draped over his shoulders. “My beautiful,
Saiai.” He breathed, nuzzling the taut sac of jewels as his tongue pleasured the softening ring.
“Aishiteru, Inu.” he whispered, pushing a finger inside along side his tongue, “Aishiteru.”

InuYasha convulsed beneath his brother’s ministrations, his engorged erection jumping
against the flat, hard muscles of his stomach as he strained up against that tantalizing tongue.
“Want... you...” he stuttered, fisting his hands inside the mass of Sesshoumaru’s hair, pulling him
into the cradle of his thighs. “S-sesshou... want... need... God!”

“You ‘want’?” Sesshoumaru let Inu’s legs slide over his body as he moved up to press his
cock against the spongy tissues of his quaking ass. “You ‘need’?” His mouth hovered a fraction
away from the panting lips, his eyes gazing lovingly into the wild amber crystals imploring him.
“You ‘love’?”

“Hai,” Inu wrapped his arms around Sesshoumaru’s shoulders, trying to pull him down, his
mouth hungry for the kiss that was so close. “I love...” His voice was ragged. “I want... I need...
please, Aniki... please...”

“Hai,” Sesshoumaru gave in and molded his lips to the trembling mouth below him. “I want
and need as well... Kami-sama, I want...” One great thrust buried his cock deep inside InuYasha’s
body and both brothers howled with the contact. “Mine...” he growled, sinking his fangs into his
brother’s throat, tasting the thrill of his blood as he began pumping a ferocious rhythm in and out of
his core. “You will always be Mine.”

“And you are Mine... forever, Aniki...” Inu locked his ankles around his brother’s waist,
thrusting his cock up and down between their stomachs, the heat and friction of their skin driving
him over the edge.

Together they rolled across the grass, snarling, biting, scratching... loving, until the climax of
their joining washed over them and released the flow of tension between them and they soared into
the heavens, riding the winds inside each others arms.

            Together... always, together.

            The End

For everyone who wanted them to be together... here is your happy ending.

God Bless,

AK
