Together and finally whole

Everyone let go and almost immediately everyone started rubbing Kagome’s stomach.

“Inuyasha, we’re really going to have a pup already?”

“Yeah. I’m sorry.”

She walked to him and held him very tightly.

“Oh Inuyasha. This is not a bad thing! Not at all. I wanted to have kids but I just thought it would take longer. I’m excited. I get to have pups with you.”

“Really? You don’t mind bearing a ¼ demon child within you?”

“Nope as long as you don’t mind having a pup that could probably purify you.”

“Not if your training him not to.”

“Well then lets get going to the hospital. I’ll be needing to come back to my time… wait… I can’t….”

Kagome frowned realizing she would have to have the baby in Inuyasha’s time without help from modern medicine. It scared her and Inuyasha could smell the fear on her. He ran his fingers through her hair to comfort her.

“Kagome your strong and the old hag’s probably delivered her share of children.”

“Kagome honey, your going to be going back to Inuyasha’s time correct?”

“Yeah. I can’t live here anymore. My ears and features are like Inuyasha’s and we have enough trouble hiding him for 2 days. We have a house built already. It is kinda modern because I stole some parts from here to make doors and such and some door knobs. So I’ll be ok.”

“Is there a lot of room in the village?”

“A decent amount yes. Why?”

“Could we come with you? We don‘t have jobs here except to care for the shrine so we wouldn‘t have a lot of trouble leaving. Lord knows Souta would love not to go to school anymore.”

Kagome ran to her mother and hugged her. She didn’t have to choose now between her love and her family. She could have them both without difficulty. Everyone went to gather their stuff even Graps seemed excited to go. They agreed that they would come back to their time once every week. That way they could get modern supplies they were used to and Graps could take care of the shrine so the well couldn’t get demolished. Everything was perfect. Kagome had packed some hinges and different tools and such so they could make another house in the feudal era for her mother. They all approached the well and looked down.

“Ok everyone hold on to someone who‘s holding me. When I say go everybody jump. I don’t want to come back to pick up strays!”

Everyone grabbed a hold of some body part. Inuyasha held one of her hands her mother had the other Souta had grabbed Inuyasha’s hand and Graps had her mother’s hand. Kagome looked and saw everybody ready all the bags were on backs or shoulders, suitcases were in Souta and Graps’s hands she looked back to the well.

“GO!”

Everyone leapt into the well and we all mesmerized by the lights around them then they appeared on the other side of the well. Inuyasha grabbed as many of the bags that he could and jumped out of the well leaving everyone in the bottom for a moment. He then reached down a hand.

“Hand all the bags to me first.”

They started passing up bags and then Inuyasha helped everybody climb out of the well and look around.

“Welcome to our new home.”

“Oh, Kagome dear! It’s beautiful!”

“yeah it is. Come on. We have a little bit of a walk before we get to our house. You can meet the rest of the group there!”

Inuyasha smiled. Kagome never seemed to be happier. She had all she ever wanted. She was happy at the fact that her family could now meet everyone she had been talking about during her trips home. After a while of walking they reached the village and soon after someone saw them you could hear calls throughout the village.

“LADY KAGOME IS HOME!”

The village soon got the message to the home of Sango and Miroku and soon they had a fox demon running full speed at Kagome. She smiled, stopped, bent down and opened her arms. The fox leaped into them snuggling against her.

“Kagome I missed you! I have so much to tell you! I slept in my room and it’s really nice but I couldn’t stay there two nights because it was too quite so the next night I stayed with Miroku and that morning when I came in Sango wasn’t in her room. Well she was in her room but it wasn’t her room before and now her room is Kirara’s room and….”

“Wow! Shippo slow down! You’ll have plenty of time later but first we have to get them all settled.”

Shippo looked behind her and saw the people and looked very confused. Then Miroku and Sango came walking up to Kagome. They realized the others quicker then Shippo did.

“Kagome who are these people?”

“I’m guessing they’re her family. But why are they here?”

“They are staying here now. We have to build them a home too. But until then we will have to let them barrow rooms in our houses. Shippo this is Souta. He’s my little brother, I was wondering if you would mind sharing your room with him?”

“Nope! But Kagome…. Your different now. I smell Inuyasha on you and I smell….”

He sniffed the air and then yelled

“YOUR GOING TO HAVE A BABY!”

Sango and Miroku looked wide eyed at Kagome then focused on Inuyasha.

“I intended for you to confess your feelings but I did not expect you to take her too!”

“Kagome, looks like you had a very interesting trip home…”

“I DIDN’T EVEN EXPET TO BE GOING WITH HER YOU DUMB MONK! IT’S YOUR FAULT THIS EVEN HAPPENED IF YOU HADN’T PUSHED ME THROUGH THE WELL!”

Everyone paused and looked at Inuyasha yelling at Miroku waiting for Inuyasha to hit him or something then Inuyasha wrapped him arms around him in a hug to everyone’s surprise and Miroku had his eyes closed tightly as if bracing to be hit. He then opened his eyes in shock.

“Thank you monk. I have a family and a mate now because of you.”

Miroku patted his back and walked over to Sango wrapping his arms around her.

“We’re kinda “mated” as well…”

“But Sango’s not pregnant….”

Kagome finally realized that her family still didn’t know what was going on so she introduced everybody. Shippo almost immediately hit it off with Souta. Everybody was happy he now had a talking friend that was about his own age. Kagome picked up Shippo and told him the news that they would be adopting Shippo and that he would be big brother to Kagome’s baby. He glowed and hugged Kagome and hardly left her side for the rest of the day calling her mommy whenever he could. Inuyasha seemed a lot calmer although he was still protective of Kagome to every extent. Everyone sat down in Kagome and Inuyasha’s house after everyone was unloaded.

“Kagome, you’ll have to go and tell Kaede that your pregnant soon. She’ll be so excited!”

“Sango, will you go with me. And you too momma! I want you to meet the priestess here.”

“May I go as well?”

“Gramps, you have to go, I don’t want you trying to purify Inuyasha the entire time I’m gone.”

“Well then Kagome dear when are we going to go?”

“Tomorrow, we can ask her to help round up the village to gather wood for another house.”

“Miroku dear your quite tonight.”

“He didn’t hit me. He hugged me and thanked me…… what did you do to the poor man Kagome!?”

Everyone laughed at Miroku thinking Kagome did something to Inuyasha to make him hug him. Inuyasha just kinda glared at him from his corner of the house. Miroku and Sango soon gave hugs to everybody and retreated to their own house. Shippo lead Souta to his room that he would be sharing for a while. Kagome lead her mother to one of the 2 spare rooms and hugged her goodnight. Right next door Gramps was given his goodnight while he “blessed” the room. Inuyasha then picked up Kagome playfully and carried her to their room and laid her on the bed.

“Kagome, I love you….”

“I love you too Inuyasha. Goodnight daddy.”

“Goodnight.”

Inuyasha curled up with her smiling largely at the though he was to be a father in just a few months.
