The Race to Find Naraku
Disclaimer: I sadly do not own any of the Inu-tachi members. Bare with me this chapter is extremely short but will get longer as I get more into the upcoming battle. The next chapter or so is going to be full of fighting youkai and so on and so forth. Lemons will commence once again after the gory battles scenes are played out.
Traveling through the dense forest surrounding Sesshoumaru’s land for around an hour the group quite suddenly came across a clearing with a large scary forest on the other side of the clearing. Kagome suddenly speaks in an odd commanding voice to the loyal group of companions – None of you are obliged to follow me on this quest. If you do chose to follow me heed my warning. I shall allow each of you to strike out against Naraku for all of his wrongs that he has did to each and every one of you. But it is I who shall pass judgment on Naraku and sentence him to his destruction. Do you understand me? Do not interfere when Naraku and I are battling with each other. The outcome will bode ill for anyone who interferes. Slightly taken aback by her words the group nods in understanding.
The forest straight ahead was rumored to harbor vicious shadow demons who steal the souls of both humans and youkai alike. What deal has Naraku made with them the group is left to wonder? Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha could smell Naraku’s scent all over the place; however, his scent was the strongest heading in the direction of the soul stealers forest. Realizing that is the destination of their last battle the group courageously pursues that good for nothing bastard Naraku. Before the group enters the soul stealer’s forest Kagome stops the group. She suddenly turns to face each and every member who she has come to trust and love dearly and in a soft clear voice she utters an ancient incantation which would provide each and everyone of her loyal companions with a protective barrier to better aid them in their fight against the soul stealers. When the incantation was done she lightly placed a kiss on each one of her loyal followers’ foreheads and wished them luck before their final battle with Naraku.
It was then that the group with the exception of Sesshoumaru who sort of figured it out earlier what Kagome was began to notice the great change in their good friend Kagome. For the first time Kagome’s presence was not that of a powerful human miko but that of an angelic spirit sent from Kami – Sama himself to rid the world of this foreboding evil spirit Naraku. Kagome at that moment appeared to be almost godlike and within her one could sense that she was the epitome of all that was good and pure in this world. They knew that without a doubt they would follow her throughout the ends of the earth and protect her with their last dying breath if they had to.
