Within the hour everyone had taken to their comfortable beds and entered the realm of dreams. Sesshoumaru so content with the turn of events encircled Kagome’s slumbering form closer to his body and murmurs softly to her - I love you Kagome with all my heart! He gently pulls the silk sheets over his and his mate’s body before sleep finally takes a hold of his body.

Sesshoumaru awakens in the middle of the night and his mate Kagome is not there. In fact, Kagome is nowhere in the room and there is an overpowering scent of flora all over his room. He is worried like never before. He can feel his heart beating frantically and a cold chill runs down his spine. Kagome where are you? Please be safe. I’ll find and protect you!! Suddenly a cool wind enters the room and calls for Sesshoumaru to follow. Sesshoumaru quickly runs out onto the balcony and uses his keen eyesight to see if he can locate his mate within the gardens of his palace. Suddenly, his eyes come across someone kneeling beside the small glistening pond by the forest. Intrigued, Sesshoumaru jumps off the balcony and silently runs to the unsuspecting person. Upon nearing the person his nose detects the faint smell of lavender. The person is definitely female, a youkai by the looks of it, but oddly enough it possess an aura similar to that of Kagome’s. This woman that he has never met seems strangely familiar to him. The female suddenly turns to face him and he is shocked to see the face before him.
Who are you? Why do you look so much like myself and that of my mate? What kind of youkai are you? What kind of spell is this? The female replies – Lord Sesshoumaru-sama this is your future. I am your first-born child. I have no name as of yet for my future is pending. As you can see I am indeed a youkai like yourself with the one exception that I possess mother’s unusually powerful miko abilities as well as your own abilities. This is no spell but rather a warning to quickly awaken you from sleep for Naraku approaches. He has obtained the last shard and actively seeks out mother. Mother must be awakened if she is to battle with him. It is she who must defeat him. Only she can truly destroy him and restore much of what was lost do to his evil transgressions. He must not catch her off guard for all of our futures rest in her hands. Please hurry and awaken her. Father beware Naraku has made a pact with the soul stealers and they can prove to be more troublesome to mother than Naraku himself. As if the young female was never there she quickly vanished before his very eyes. Sensing truth to her words he quickly goes about acquiescing her request.

Sesshoumaru quickly leaps out of his bed and shakes Kagome. Beads of sweat are forming on his forehead. Groggily Kagome opens her eyes and stares into Sesshoumaru’s bright golden orbs. He appears to be worried and very serious. This wakes Kagome up as if a bucket of iced water hit her squarely in the face. She asks him what’s wrong. He tells her that he was warned of Naraku’s presence nearing the palace and that he obtained the last shikkon shards. Kagome quickly leaps off the bed and in no time flat is dressed in the traditional miko garb. Her aura is a brilliant shade of white with a flicker of blue here and there. Sesshoumaru had never seen her like this before. Her pureness and holistic powers where unlike anything he had ever seen. Even carrying his child her innocence and purity remained untainted. She was angelic to say in the least. Her white haori and blue hamaka made her appear as if she were an avenging angel set on earth to place judgment on those souls who dared to taint the world with their vile and evil ways.
Suddenly, it hit Sesshoumaru as to what Kagome was. She was no human nor was she a youkai. She was more powerful than them both. Her holistic powers made both species view her as an unusually powerful miko but her scent and aura alone suggested that she was beyond even that. Kagome, if the dream he had was to be believed, was a guardian spirit sent to this time era to prevent utter destruction and chaos from taken hold of this land. Who better to protect the world from utter destruction than an angelic spirit who cares for both man and youkai alike? Kami-sama please watch over her…I love her with all my heart and I will do anything you ask of me as long as you keep her safe!
Sesshoumaru quickly got himself dressed and ordered Kagome to awaken the demon huntress Sango and her pet Kiarara while he went to awaken Inuyasha, Miroku and Kouga. The group all gathered together in the darkened foyer. Each person was carrying his or her own weapon ready for battle. They then set off into the dark through the forest leaving the palace behind in a hurried pace. No one wanted Naraku near the palace were many innocent lives of children and servants were at risk. They would meet that bastard Naraku head on and kill him.
