Chapter 10

A/N: Hiya I know it's been a while since I've updated (sighs) things have been tough my power was shut off (growls) it made me so mad! But anywho back to my story. I'm going to be skipping ahead by weeks or months so to make sure you don't yet lost in the time gap look for my symbol :TGB. Which means Time gone by. WAFF & M-PREG

TGB: 5 MONTHS


So much time had gone by with out anything bad happening and to Inuyasha and Sesshomaru it was a blessing. Inuyasha placed a hand on his growing belly and smiled as he looked over at Sesshomau who sat beside him. "It's been so peacefull lately hasn't?" he asked as he rested his head upon his mates shoulder. Sesshomaru took a deep breath "Yes, I suppose so" he muttered looking aimlessly towards the sky. Sensing his mates distress he sighed " what's wrong?" he asked with concern.

Sesshomaru looked down at Inuyasha "Nothing" he whispered causing Inuyasha to frown. A look of dissapointment washed over Inuyasha's face "You always do that" he whimpered softly more to himself. But Sesshomaru's hieghtened senses heard him any way "Do what?" he asked slightly annoyed. Inuyasha let out another sigh 'why do I even bother, he'll never open up to me' his thoughts brimming with sadness. "You shut me out and you know it" he snapped back harshly.

Thay both sat insilence untill Inuyasha changed his position leaning away from Sesshomaru. He shot up "I wish for you to sleep in your own chamber tonight" he said coldly as he went to prepare for bed. He left Sesshomaru in the garden were he stayed for another hour. He looked up at the window of his brother's chamber's from outside and let out a small sigh.

Inuyasha had been going through random mood swings lately due to the pups. But the daiyokai knew his mate and knew that wasn't a mood swings. I felt at times he didn't need to speek with is mate only look at him and a part of Inuyasha would understand. A small part of him knew Inuyasha understood but not as much as the hanyou wanted to. He walked into the castle and headed for Inuyasha's chamber's, he was not going to sleep in his old chamber. No matter what his mate requested, he would be right where he was supposed to be. Alaways and forever by his mates side.

It hadn't taken Sesshomaru long to reach the door of Inuyasha's chamber, he knocked softly. Inuyasha gave annoyed grunt "Go away Sesshomaru" he barked but his voice held no threat to it. Sesshomaru shook it off and entered the room and the scent of salt overwhelmed his sensitive nose. He gently sat on the bed next to his mate to find that he was indeed crying. He pulled Inuyasha's chin up so he could look at him 'Even an angle when he's cry' he thought as he wiped the tears away but more quickly followed.

"I said leave" he me choked out but Sesshomaru sat stubbornly on the bed, knowing that Inuyasha would make no attemp to move from his lap. He was right, Inyasha just laied there with his head on his brother's lap and wept. Seeing his mate so upset made Sesshomaru upset, knowing that he was the cause of it upset him more. Sesshomaru pulled Inuyasha up to his chest. Inuyasha tried to push away but Sesshomaru had a firm grip on him (with out hurting the pups of course). "Let me go" he growled but it was more of a whimper.

Sesshomaru sighed but held his grip on Inuyasha "No" he stated calmly as he nuzzled his cheek it his mates. Inuyasha almost purred but quickly stopped himself "Stop trying to sedue me you bastard" he shouted but Sesshomaru wasn't letting go. "You are me mate and I refuse to stop untill you tell me what's wrong, you've become emotional because of the pups but there's something else and I know it" he said still continuing to nuzzle his mates cheek.

Giving up Inuyasha relaxed and leaned back against his brother with a sigh "Do you love me Sesshomaru?" he asked him quietly his voice shaky and bearly above a whisper. He let the tears flow freely again not really wanting to hear the daiyokai's answer. Sesshomaru was taken back by his mates question, he thought about it and became angry that he would ask such a thing. "What would make you think otherwise? What would make you ask me such and absurd question?" he asked trying to keep his anger in check. But Inuyasha still heard the hurt and anger in his brother's voice.

"Stop answering a question with a question" he snapped a bit of his old self reflecting off of his reply. Sesshomaru sat there and sighed 'He will never make it easy for me' he thought as he thought things through. "I'm not answering that... if you haven't figured it out by now then you never will... you wanted to know why I shut you out well asking an insane question like that is one of many other things" he shouted letting got of his mate. Inuyasha flinched at the loudness but also at the sound of hurt in his mates voice, he knew he put that hurt there.

Sesshomaru laied down as did Inuyasha who instinctivly currled up next to his mate. "Aishiteru" Inuyasha muttered into the pillow when he felt Sesshomaru wrap a protective arm around his stomach. Sesshomaru leaned forward to Inuyasha's ear and whispered "I would die a thousand deaths just to know that I had your love, I will love you untill the day I die and even then I will still love you. Never let anyone make you think otherwise, do you understand me?" he said not lovingly but possesivly. "Hai" came the soft and content reply.

The next day...

Inuyasha slipped into the lake and peacfully sat down as the cool waters touched his skin. He had thought about what Sesshomaru had told him last night, the words still echoed through his mind "I would die a thousand deaths just to know that I had your love" his mind clung to those words. It was spoken possesivly but Inuyasha soon realized that that was a sign of love from his mate. He didn't want to doubt his mate but old thoughts sometimes came back. He wondered if his brother loved him for him, or was doing what was requested by him by their father.

His pregnancy diluted his senses so he never realized that his mate was behind him untill he spoke "Enjoying your self?" he whispered into his lover ear sending a shiver down Inuyasha's spine. He looked up at Sesshomaru who's eyes glazed over with mysterious glint. "Only if you were to join me Aniki" Inuyasha purred and that's when he felt it.

At first it left him a little confused but when it happened again he knew he was right. "Hurry get in the water with me" he gasp as his hand moved down his stomach to were he felt the pups kicking. Sesshomaru slid into the water next to his mate "What?" he asked when Inuyasha yanked his arm so that he was closer to him. He placed Sesshomaru's hand on his stomach "here" he whispered breathlessly. A frown engraved it's self on Sesshomaru's face "I don't feel anything" he whispered.

Inuyasha grinned "Wait for it" he muttered placing his hands on top of his brother's to keep them there. Then he felt it the four small little thuds that poked out from Inuyasha's stomach. Sesshomaru smiled and kissed his mates head "There restless, just like their father" he whispered teasingly. "Feh! that would depend on which father you were referring to" he snapped back at him. Sesshomaru laugheds, something Inuyasha hadn't heard in many many years. "Would you be referring to me?" he asked as he ran his hands threw his mates hair. Inuyasha just nodded "Do you really mean it?" he asked an old memory flashed through his mind.

Guessing that Inuyasha was talking about last night he pulled his close and began to stroke his mating mark. "Why do you not believe me?" he asked still stroking the mark lovingly. Inuyasha just sighed "All my life I have loved you Sess but all my life I've thought you hated me, somethings that you've said and done are still deep wounds that only you can heal. I once told you that I loved you and you laughed in my face, it hurt and it still does at times" he said loweing his head as he flattened his ears against his head.

Sesshomaru remembered what his mate was taking about and was quick to correct him. "Dear brother of mine... as I recall if hadn't punched me in my jaw you would have known that I loved you then as well, my laughing was a sign of relief because he had told be what I was too afraid at the time to tell you" he said as he still continued to stroke the mark on Inuyasha's neck. Inuyasha was taken back by what his brother had said and to his surprise he continued with his side of the story.

"I never told you after that how much it hurt me, not that you punched me but how you acted towards me after that. It took me so long just to get you to look at me, but even when you did I still never told you. I was afraid that by then any and all love you had for me had vanished. I picked fights with you to test your strenght but I was foolish to not give you praise, you'd hurt me badly that day you left. Far more than you'll ever know" he finished to look down at the hanyou before him. "I never knew" was all Inuyasha could say at that point. Sesshomaru chuckled "Well now you do" he said pulling Inuyasha closer.

When they got out of the lake they decided to just sit in the gardens (where they spend most of their time as you can see). Out of nowhere Inuyasha hissed and began to hold onto his stomach. "What's wrong?" Sesshomaru asked fear for his mate and pups intensifying. Inuyasha moaned in pain " These pups wanna come out now!!!" he screamed holding his stomach as he doubled over in pain. Without any further thought Sesshomaru scooped Inuyasha up bridal style and carried him to the healer


In the castle...

"My lord Inuyasha...I need for you to drink this tea it will numb your body so that I can get the pups out without hurting you" Something about the healer's voice soothed Inuyasha enough to drink the tea. Once he was finished he looked around frantically for Sesshomaru. Seeing that his mate was right by his side calmed him "I can't feel anything" he whimpered "It's only temporary" Sesshomaru whispered to him. He began to stroke Inuyasha's mark causing his mates eyes to drift close, he didn't want him to see what the healer was about to do.

Inuyasha wasn't really sure when or how but he managed to fall asleep. He looked around the room and noticed he was alone. Sesshomaru wasn't there and...neither were his pups. Had began to panic 'Did they die during birth, are they gone? Sesshomaru where are you''. Inuyasha felt helpless untill the door swung open and Sesshomaru and the healer walked in the two pups in each arm. Inuyasha sighed with relief as Sesshomaru placed on of the pups in his arm. "How long have I been asleep?" he asked when the healer left the room. Sesshomaru put the other pup he had in Inuyasha's arm and took the other two from the healer as he left "A few hours". Inuyasha smiled smiled as he looked down at his children. They were the spitting image of him and Sesshomaru but for some odd reason one reminded him of Sango. "Well have to think of names" Sesshomaru whispered from behin him.

He had been thinking alot about named lately but not enough to actually decide right now. Inuyasha looked down at the pup in his left arm his only daughter out of three sons. He looked at her and knew no other name would fit her other than "Sango" he whispered as he placed a soft kiss on the girls forehead. Sesshomaru looked down at his mate "The taijiya" it was more of an observation than a question. "Yea she looks like her in a way" Inuyasha said smirking. "That she does but you have three more to go, you are their mother" he said the last part teasingly. Inuyasha let out a low growl from the back of his throat. "Mother?!" he shouted forgetting he had the pups in his arm. Sesshomaru nodded "You gave birth to them, that makes you their mother...their beautiful mother" he added as he leaned down to kiss his mates cheek.

Inuyasha turned to Sango who was fully awake now thanks to her father's outburst "You father's a wise ass" he whispered and the small pup gave him a toothless grin. Sesshomaru growled at Inuyasha's use of profanity "There bound to have my personaliy anway Sess, they'll cuse every now and again" he turned around and winked at his mate who had a frown placed on his face. "We still have three unnamed pups" he said walking infront of Inuyasha. He saw two that looked like they could be twins "Ryomaru and Kichuro" he said pointing to the two in Sesshomaru's arm. Inuyasha looked down and the last unnamed pup "Tomonori" he said smiling.
