A/N:Thanks for reading my first story.There will be some character deaths later in the story and I plain to make it a long one.There are many original characters in this story. This will be the only story I will be working on for the time being, so that it can get my full dedication.Please review, be honest but not harsh.

When he entered the garden he saw Jade laying on her back in the grass and looking up at the sky. She was obviously still upset. He could tell by her eyes, which had not yet returned to there original color. Jade's eyes were like moodrings they sometimes would change colors depending on her mood. Everyone knew red meant angry. So he approached her with caution. He was not scared that she would hurt him, she was never violent. But sometimes when she was angry she would verbally lash out at everyone.

" I know you are there Zane. What do you want?" She looked up at him. If looks could kill he would have surely died a most painful death.

"Jade, don't be mad at me I have done nothing wrong."

"You are right Zee. I'm sorry."She laid back down in the grass.

"Can I come over there or will you bite my head off?" He looked to see if she would smile. When he saw her trying to hide her smile he knew she was calming down. So he went and sat down beside her. "Are you alright kid?"

" I'm okay. He just acts so unreasonable sometimes."She sat up to look at him better.

" Don't get angry, but I think he was being reasonable. You were on your own and gone for quite sometime. You know how he is when it comes to you. If he doesn't know exactly where you are he get scared."

" He treats me like I am a child. I don't no why he is so overprotective. " she looked annoyed.

"You are his daughter. What kind of father would he be if he did not worry?"

"He doesn't treat you or Mioko like that. If he did I wouldn't be so upset. Why does he treat me so differently? I want to be able to go places like you two. I want to see other things besides the castle grounds. Can you understand that? Then when I do try to go look at some different scennery then the castle gardens, he acts like I was gone off the grounds. I truthfully didn't know I was gone so long. It's just such a beautiful day and I guess I was caught up in it." She looked down at the ground and let out a long sigh.

" I don't know why he treats you so different. Maybe it's because your his only child with Zion or because you are the baby. Only he knows the answer to that one. I know it must be hard, but I am sure he has your best interest in mind. How about I ask him if next time I go on a trip you can come?" He looked at her and smiled.

Her eyes turned back to their original color, that haunting light blue, and she had a gleeful look on her face." You would let me come with you?"

"I would enjoy your company."

" I don't know why I am getting so excited he won't let me go." Her face once again looked sad.

"You never know he might. If he doesn't I won't be going anywhere for about three weeks. I think that is enough time to talk him into it. What do you think? Give him a couple of your sad faces that's sure to get the job done." Zane grabbed her hand and pulled her up off the ground.

"Yes, it could work. If it does where would we be going?"

"Osaka, that is in Honshu. It is very lovely there you will like it. I think we should go in now." He pulled her hand as to say come on.

She shook her head and let go. " I think I will stay out here for a few more minutes."

"If that is what you want. Don't stay out here to long, It's pretty dark." Zane left and went back into the castle. There his father was waiting for him.

"So, is she angry with me still?" He had a worried look.

"Yes, a little bit. I think you should wait and talk to her in the morning. I want to ask you something on Jade's behalf. Father Jade longs to see a little bit of what is outside of the castle grounds. Next time I leave I would like for her to accompany me."

"NO!! She must never leave the castle grounds.That is why I had the wall built around such a vast area. We have plenty of land for her to explore." He looked as though he was hiding something.

"Yes, but Father she has seen every bit of the grounds. She wants to see new things. She is 17 and she has never left the grounds, she feels that is unfair. I leave and go places all the time and even Mioko gets to leave from time to time, but never Jade. She is loyal to you and a good child, or else she would have tried to sneak off by now. I think you owe her at least one trip."

"Zane you could never understand why I can not allow it. I will tell you one day I swear." He looked like he really wanted to let her go. Zane knew this was his chance.
" I will keep her safe. She will never leave my side I promise. You know I would never let any harm come to her. It's not like she is in danger. I know she is beautiful and you are worried about the boys. I swear they will not even look at her with intent of any kind. I will kill any who do. Father she needs this trip, please do it for her." Zane could tell by his face that he wanted to say yes.

" I will think about it, but I make no promises. I will retire to bed now. I know your mother is waiting. Good night." Tabis went up the stairs and was gone. Zane headed up the steps a few moments later and saw Mioko standing outside of Jade's door. When she saw him she spoke."Zane how are you? Where is Jade? I know Daddy was upset. She told him she was leaving but we all know how he is." She said as she flicked something from under her nails.

" I am fine. Jade is in the garden and she should be in soon. Well if you don't mind I will see you in the morning it has been a rough day." He turned around in the direction of his room.
When he got there Mioko said " Hey, love you brother."She blew him a kiss.

" The feelling is mutual." He yawned and went in his room. Just then Jade came up the steps. "Hi, Mioko. How did things go?"

" It went great.The prince is nice,funny, and handsome. His name is Doku and I got to spend alot of time with him while our fathers were talking, And guess what?"

"What. You look like it is good news.I don't want to guess tell me"

She hesitated."Our fathers agreed, we will be getting married. Isn't that wonderful?"

"Yes, I am so happy for you and it seems like you really like this Doku. I am sure you will be happy with him. I can't wait to meet him."She gave her sister a hug.

"Well that is all I wanted to tell you. We can talk more in the morning. It has been a long day." She walked away and into her room. Jade went in her room grabbed her robe and went to take a bath. As she walked down the hall she couldn't help but think about Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru only ran a short distance so that he was out of sight to who ever was coming. He saw that it was Jade's brother. So he left knowing she was safe. He started back for the castle walking very slowly. He could not believe how he was feeling. He had never in his life, which has been very long, felt this way before. He wanted it to stop. There were only five people in his life time he truely cared for and they were Bo 'Rai Cho, Rin, Jaken , his mother and his father, with the death of his parents that left just the three , but none could compare to the feelings that were growing for her. Now he was feeling things for this half demon that he had just met two days ago. He felt ripped on the inside .She was tainted with filthy human blood and her demon blood more than likely belonged to his best friend. Even if he could somehow look pass her human blood she was still Bo 'Rai Cho's grandaughter how could he betray his old friend. This ripped him even more. He thought about this for a while. Before he knew it he was back at the castle and night was almost here. He walked over to Bo 'Rai Cho who had moved to the side of the castle where Jade's room was.
"It took you a while to get back. Jade returned hours ago."

"I was thinking about something."He was still actually in thought.

"So did you find out? Did you talk to her?" Bo 'Rai Cho smiled as he asked this question.

"Yes, I talked to her for quite a while. I have come to find out that she does have demon blood in her. You were right she doesn't know it though."

"So how could you tell? Did you see the mark?"

"No,I did not see it. She has demon fangs."Sesshomaru sat down.

" That is strange, I have never seen them before. So she was not frightened by you?"

"The reason you have never seen them is because the king makes her wear something to hide them. She was not afraid, because she does not know I am a demon. She is so innocent." Sesshomaru gave off a little smile.He quickly stopped hoping his friend did not see. But he had." So I think she is my grandaughter. Unless her mother was a whore, which I don't believe to be true. Sesshomaru you are smitten with her aren't you?"Bo 'Rai Cho grined at him. Sesshomaru said nothing. "Sesshomaru I do not blame you she is very beautiful." Bo 'Rai Cho was trying to get something out of him, it worked.
"It's not just her beauty it's every thing about her. Some how it is like her soul calls out to me. Even though I just met her I feel as though I have known her my entire life. What am I saying." He got very quiet.

"It sounds to me like maybe you have found your soulmate. Don't worry even though she is my grandaughter if she is I will be happy for you. Did she say anything else to you?"

"Yes, I told her that your son and her mother were good friends and that you knew her mother. She said she would like to meet you and for me to ask if she could. So that she could learn more about her mother. Little about her is known by Jade. She feels as though part of her is missing. I am suppose to go and give her your answer later tonight."

"I do not want to meet her face to face yet. I want her to trust you first. Then when we meet you can be there for her because at that time I will tell her the truth. She will need someone to lean on."

"Bo 'Rai Cho, I get it now you knew she would end up trusting me. That is why you had that smille on your face earlier.But if she does start to trust me that doesn't mean she will believe you."

"Friend, I could tell the moment you came back from her room last night that you were taken with her. I knew all you needed to do was talk to her and things would fall into place. Please, I need you to do this for me and you should do it for yourself,get to know her better. I want her to know who she really is, but I don't just want to run in there and pull her out of the only life she has ever known. If you are there when I tell her and she has gotten close to you it will soften the blow to her. The last thing I want is to hurt her. I am not saying you have to fall in love with her just get to know her better. I asure you her friendship will be a valuable one."He looked at his friend with begging eyes.

"Well I have to go. I told her I would meet with her." Sesshomaru looked over at his old friend who looked pleased with his decison.
