Prologue

She sat on the edge of the well, staring off into space. Her black hair flowed like black silk down her back, just brushing the swell of her ass. Her cerulean eyes looked up at the night sky, and her porcelain skin almost glowed from the light of the moon. She was breathtaking. A tear slipped down her cheek, reflecting the stars in the sky.
Suddenly, she jumped up, and looked around frantically. She reached down to grab her bow, but was too slow. Before she knew it, she was on the ground, and was being forced to swallow something coppery and warm. Then, before she even had time to scream, he was gone, his crimson blood soaking into her scrapes and cuts. She looked up at the sky, and though, ‘well, at least I’m not dead…’ before passing into a deep sleep.

Sesshomaru gazed into the beautiful night sky, eyes skimming over familiar constellations. He had been able to read stars for some time now. He couldn’t recall when exactly it had started, but assumed that it had something to do with the fact that hid half-brother’s little miko had given him his left arm back.
Suddenly the hair bristled on the back of his neck. He expanded his senses to see if there was any threat to his home or ward and found nothing. ‘Something has happened to the miko.’ He thought. This had also been happening increasingly often. Whenever the little ningen was being harmed, or in danger, his body went on alert. He did not know how, or why, but could not ignore it this time, as he had with others. She was in grave danger.
Then, just as suddenly as the feeling had come, it went. All was well, he surmised. After stretching, the great lord climbed into his cozy bed and fell into a deep, sleep.
~dream sequence~
She smiled happily up at him as he leaned down and kissed her soft lips. He could feel the happiness radiating off of her as he lead her up to the altar. She was absolutely stunning, wearing a long white gown with blue trim the color of her sparkling eyes. “Soon, koi, you will be mine for the taking” he said, with a sexy smirk. Her scent spiked, and she giggled. He could barely resist ripping that dress off and taking her right there in front of all the people.
He leaned down to whisper more sexy things into her ear, but stopped as the priest started talking.
~end dream sequence~
He woke up with the worst hard-on he had had in a while, and decided to take a long soak in his hot springs to mull things over.
‘What is going on here,’ he thought to himself. ‘Why can’t I get her out of my mind?’

Eeep. I did NOT know how to start this… Please tell me what you think… I am planning this to be a novel length fic, partly taking place in the future, but not AU like AMF.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE review. I REALLY need your opinion. This IS a Kagmaru fic, so if you don’t like, please don’t flame. There will be A LOT of odd pairings in this, but they will be revealed later on.
