Dreams and Omissions

Chapter 1: The dreams begin...


'"Where am I?" Kagome said aloud, "It looks like the forest of no return..." She was surrounded by mist and trees and could only see a few yards ahead of her. She could hear nothing nor sense it as she looked around. She began walking in the direction she assumed was the way back to Kaede's village. She was afraid. "Shippou?Sango?Miroku?" she called. "Inuyasha?" Silence. She waited, then called his name again:"INUYASHA!" Suddenly, behind her was a crash. She turned to see a horrible demon behind her. "You are the priestess of legend!" it bellowed,"YOU WILL BE MINE!" With a roar, it ran towards her. She ran through the woods, crying for help, but to no avail. No one could here her. She ran faster and faster but couldn't get away. She felt a sharp pain as the demon lashed out at her , slicing across the left shoulder blade. " Now you have my mark....you will succomb to me...." He said. Kagome stumbled to the ground, and the world went black.......

Inuyasha sat by the well, waiting for Kagomes return. She had been gone for 4 days and he was getting antsy.
They had defeated Naraku and had the jewel shards, but they had yet to figure out how to use it. Kagome was still in charge of protecting it, and he was nervouse when she went home that she might not return to them.
"Where the hell is she?" he thought. "She hasn't taken this long in returning in a long time."
Lately, things had been changing between everyone. Shippou was growing, and starting to notice girls his age and was always tormenting them. Miroku was almost distant, walking off into the woods at odd times,
often with Sango in tow. Kirara was the only normal one amoung them, it seemed,
and Kagome....she was...well...Kagome. Ever since they had defeated Naraku and Kaguya,
and she had kissed him to bring him out of his demon form, he had felt...different towards her...somehow.
He just couldn't explain it. It was almost like he... "INUYASHA COME QUICK!!!" Shippou said, startling him from his thoughts.
"IT'S KAGOME!!!SHE'S HURT!" "But Kagome hasn't come back from her time yet!"
Inuyasha growled, swatting shippou on the head. "Miroku found her...in the woods, shes been hurt...someone cut her!
And shes lost A LOT of blood.HURRY!" Inuyasha still didn't know why he hadn't seen her return,
but followed Shippou none the less.

Kagome was lying on a futon surrounded by Miroku, Sango, and Kaede. She was barely concious.
Inuyasha grimaced as he saw her blood-stained uniform soaking in a pail of water.
He knelt beside her, and looked at her shoulder. It wasn't bleeding but it had a nasty cut and he could tell it was done by some kind of demon. "What did this to her" he growled. " A bat demon." Shippou replied, "I can smell it on her."
Inuyasha could smell it now and agreed with Shippou. "We got the toxins out, but we don't know what other effects it will have on her..." Sango said. "Inu...yasha...?" Kagome mumbled. "Yes Kagome? I'm here." He retorted.
"Take me...home." she said. "Inuyasha, maybe you should....she's lost a lot of blood and there are
people who can help her in her own time." Miroku said. " Inuyasha nodded, secured the blanket around her,
scooped her carefully into his arms and carried her toward the well. "Be back soon!" he called over his shoulder before
disappearing out of sight. Sango and Miroku stood outside Kaedes hut watching. "When do you think
he'll realize he loves her Miroku?" Sango asked sadly. " Oh, I don't know. Soon I hope.
Boys can be really dense sometimes!"Miroku replied, then went on his daily walk around the village.
"Tell me about it." Sango whispered to herself, then went back inside to talk with Kaede.

"Hang on Kagome, we're almost there!" Inuyasha said as they emerged on her side of the well.
He made i from the shrine to her house in seconds. "Whats the matter Inuyasha?" Mrs. Higurashi asked as
he set Kagome on the couch. "She was in the woods alone for four days and shes hurt pretty bad.
Her shoulders all cut to shit." he said. "I'll ignore your mouth and check her shoulder out." Kagomes mother replied.
She pulled the blanket off her daughters shoulder, looked, then frowned."Theres nothing Inuyasha....just a little scratch.
It may scar a bit... but nothing serious." "What are you talking about? She was bleeding and hurt and....WHAT THE FUCK!"
he exclaimed in anger. The cut was gone. "Inuyasha?Whats wrong?" Kagome asked, sitting up and streching.
She turned red as she noticed all she was wearing was a blanket."OH MY GOD INUYASHA WHERE ARE MY CLOTHS? SIT!!!!"
She ran up the stairs as he did a faceplant. He didn't understand. How could she be so hurt then be ok and act like nothing happened? He went outside and hopped up into Goshinboku. He was pondering the situation when Kagome came outside with a smile and clothing he'd never seen before. She wore jean cutoffs at mid-thigh and a pink spagetti strap top. She had on her normal sneakers and carried a different backpack.It was bulging more then usual. Also, she had makeup on and funny smelling stuff that he remembered her calling "perfume" before. "What the fuck are you wearing? You expect to walk around all day in THAT?That lecher monk will attack you and if he does..." he cracked his knucks and imitated an obcene gesture with his claws.
"Oh suck it up!Lets go." Kagome snorted and headed towards the well. Inuyasha hopped down and followed her. Aside from wearing perfume, she smelled... different...evil in a way. He hopped into the well after. When they
emerged on the other side the others were all waiting for them."WOAH!!!KAGOME! What happened to you?"
Shippou cried."Wow, need a hand?" Miroku asked, extending his towards her. "Pipe down." Inuyasha said. "You've...changed."Sango said, somewhat confused."Ya Sango I brought stuff for you too lets go!"
Kagome said, draggingher away. "What the hell was that?"Miroku said. "I don't know, but if you ever look
at her like that again, you will wish that your windtunnel had swallowed you." Inuyasha said.
"She still reeked like bat."Shippou said, pulling a lollypop out of his pocket. Inuyasha sighed."I know."
The three males sat down and waited for kagome and sango to return.
