you know, just the other day i stumbled over a story where inu+ayame, thoroughly fed up with kags+kouga dumped them and got together...it was one of the few things on the show that annoyed me, how ayame was all but begging kouga to take her, although given her looks+ strength she should have her pick from willing males....oh well, back to your story: the tidbit about instable priestess-powers is yet one more reason far me to believe that inu+kags aren´t truly meant to be - i mean, come on, can you truly see her living in a hut in kaede´s village for good with no running water+central heating systems? neither can she, obviously, or she wouldn´t be so adamant about finishing a school education she wouldn´t need in the feudal era. unconsciously or not, kags plans for a life in the future - where inu could never be truly happy. now though that ayame got inu´s blood boiling, i wonder what will happen - i mean, just because they would make shitty mates doesn´t mean they can´t screw ;-) or maybe, if she refuses him AGAIN he´ll finally wakes up and starts looking elsewhere...

i too am looking forward to kouga´s next appearance - maybe sess will be blunt enough to tell kags to finally make a decision instead of stringing both kouga and inu along.
