Whirlwind
Running away…
I don’t own Inuyasha blah blah fuck’n blah…
She had to get away…away from the pain…away from the confusion…but most of all; she had to get away him. There was no way she was going to be captured by him; she would die first.
She had always hated him, hated him for his unknowing rejection, hated him for his uncaring heart, and hated him for being the only one she wanted. But he was in love with another, so he claim, and he also claim to make this girl his mate. It had hurt her more then she would ever admit, not only did it wound her heart, but scorched her soul.
Now the same person she vowed to hate for all eternity was hunting her. The events of this past week clouded her mind. She tried to figure out how she got herself into her present predicament. But her mind was only focused on one thing…escape. She wondered how she got this far head of him, in her condition; he could have captured her easily. But than again she did injury him enough to slow him down.
The sweltering pain in her left side made her fall into a kneeling position, panting heavily, holding her injured ribs. Sweat poured down her brows into her eyes, stinging them and making it hard to see. Her heartbeat was irregular, fueled with, panic, pain, and frustration. The blood in her veins burned like fire, lanced with adrenaline, though lacking in needed oxygen.
Her lungs were twisted in agony, trying desperately to fill her body with air, but only managing short painful gulps. But worse of all, she could feel the icy touches of the black void trying to render her unconscious. She needed to find a place to hind…at least for the night, in the morning she should be healed enough to travel.
Inhaling deeply of the pungent night air, her sensitive nose was filled with her blood, fear, and sweat…and him. She snorted with disdain; she reeked of his scent. Her eyes scanned her blurry surrounding…trees…trees…several berry bushes…more trees…a stupid rabbit…firelight…more stupid trees.
She stopped her frantic searching and her eyes trailed back to the firelight. With the back of her right hand she whipped her nose and snorted a few times to clear it of the retched scent. When she inhaled again her nose was filled with the same foul smell.
She got to her feet and wobbled a bit before gaining her balance. Her head was spinning as she slowly approached the fire. Fighting her way through the thick brush and vegetation drain more of her strength, threatening to send her to the land of the dreaming. But she made it to the clearing; no bout whoever was at the fire knew she was coming.
She staggered a bit and stopped when she looked into a pair of violet eyes…no they were blue, but the firelight tented them violet. They were almost as vibrate as his, however they were much to light.
Before she could get a good look at the person five feet away from her, she was distracted. An almost blinding light of white gold pierced her already hurt filled eyes, making her vision even more unfocused. She blinked a few times to clear her vision as much as she could, though it didn’t help. All she could make out was red, a large sword, and silver.
“What the fuck do you want?” the figure in red growled with boring impatience.
“You idiot,” a warm and gentle voice reprimanded sternly. “Can’t you see she is hurt?”
“Like I care,” the male spoke again. “She is a demon, and in case you have forgotten demons are tricky little bastards.”
A chill ran up her spine as the two continued to argue, and she cried out in pain as she fell to her knees. She tried to take a deep breath, but it caught in her throat, and moments later was coughing up blood. An unbearable presser began to press its way against her lower abdomen, like a knife slowly twisting into her insides.
She curved herself into a fetal ball as she began to shake uncontrollably with unfathomable white pain. Her teeth clenched tightly as her head began to throb and pulse with utter pain…damn it was too much for her to take. She was not aware that the red figure, with forceful persuading from his companion, had picked her up, carrying her away.
The only thing she was aware of was him and the fact that he was somewhere close by…
