The Fraternity Trilogy

Title: The Fraternity Trilogy

Author: Demitria Miriam

Pairing: Sessh x Inu

Rating: R

Notes: “Sequel” trilogy to my Dare Trilogy (which you can read on y!Gal or my LJ) that hit me this morning. Wanted to see the boys “break up” or fall out of sync for a some years and then see one another again and have old feelings rekindled. xD Inspired by “I Kissed a Boy” by Cobra Starship.

Summary: Their fling back in high school had been fun. But as they found out during summer break, things change, people lose contact and old interests are left behind in pursuit of the new. Until they came face to face again, that is, in college. Sess x Inu, AU.

Chapter 1: The Frat Party

“This game is rather juvenile-”

“Stop making excuses and go kiss the guy already,” his friends laughed. “You know you have a week to complete this if you figure out who he is. If not, better to just do it tonight and get it over with.”

That’s hardly the point, Sesshoumaru  Musashi, college sophomore, thought grudgingly. He paused as he stood up, momentarily halting his search for “lucky number 35” as he slowly repeated, “He?”, sending a nasty glare at his so-called “friends”.

His frat brothers nearly fell on the floor with laughter. “Sorry, man, but we couldn’t help ourselves.”

Sesshoumaru’s frown was even more prominent among his otherwise immaculate visage. “In other words, you wanted to have a bit of fun at my expense.” He didn’t even get a chance to finish his sentence before they started gasping for breath in their hysterics, one falling off his chair as he clutched his stomach. “I see. Very well.”

With that he made his way back into the large frat house, careless, though not negligent, of the snickers that followed him as he walked through the throng of party goers in search of his target.

Damn them. They knew he’d rather skin himself alive than have intimate physical contact with another male. He’d tried it out freshman year due to an initiation challenge. Naturally, he’d succeeded in impressing the Alpha Beta Pi(1), joining the fraternity immediately, and even continuing to dabble in the illicit affair he’d had to engage in to get there after.

However, after only a few days of less than impressive physical relations with the guy, he’d found all it’d done was cause unnecessary grief for him. It didn’t help matters that the guy was still a part of his fraternity either, which meant he’d had to settle things with... forceful reminders... to get his point of uninterest across permanently.

Because of that, having been a Freshman at the time telling a well-respected and feared Junior off, he’d earned a reputation his first year. And though his frat brothers found unhealthy amusement in his agitation, he knew he was still respected by them.

Now, a year later, here he was, a Sophomore at T. University and being sent on yet another stupid challenge like he was a Freshman again. Though, at least this time he merely needed to kiss the guy for his brothers’ entertainment value and leave it at that.

Sesshoumaru Musashi growled to himself. Whoever came up with this stupid game needed to be put out of their misery, he decided immediately as he started a second lap around the twenty-something bedroom house in search of “lucky number 35”.

Despite his griping, the “Game” was simple enough, he supposed. All party goers, when entering their frat house, were issued a number, the number more or less pinned to the back of their shirts (so no one knew what their number was; nor were they allowed to get someone else to tell them what their’s was). Throughout the night the Seniors, depending on whether they were feeling feisty or downright mean, would issue challenges or dares to someone with a random number, or if they were feeling more giving they’d give a random number a prize.

In this case... he’d gotten the short end of the stick, and assumed early on in his college career that that’d always be the case since his house seemed to enjoy seeing him squirm.

He growled to himself again as he continued looking this way and that for “35”. It didn’t help matters that the majority of females in attendance from the neighboring sororities kept stopping him in the middle of his search every other step he took.

The girl that currently had his arm in a vice like grip was rambling on about a party she’d been invited to, one she’d “hoped” he would attend with her. However, just as he was about to bite out he wasn’t interested he caught sight of the guy with number 35 taped to his back.

The male was facing away from him, talking with and surrounded by a group of people he didn’t recognize. He was fairly tall, possibly a few inches shorter than Sesshoumaru himself, with broad shoulders, a trim waist and short silver-white hair that was more than likely styled under the charcoal-colored wool pub hat he sported fashionably. Faded blue jeans snuggly hugged the guy’s hips as a simple, short-sleeved white shirt hid beneath a loose black vest neatly.

Sesshoumaru’s eyes strayed down the guy’s back, lingering a little too long on his ass... -ets… as it were.

Well, at least they picked an attractive male, he thought. From the back in any case. Now to get him alone and finish it.

“So maybe pick me up around seven tomorrow night?” the girl he’d forgotten was even holding onto him said, dragging him out of his appreciation. He withdrew himself from her and frowned.

“I’m busy,” was all he said, turning in the direction of number 35 and stopping dead in his tracks as the male turned around to walk over and get another beer.

The demon, frozen, could only stare, mouth dry as he watched his target grin at the bartender. The boy’s golden eyes- more rightfully called a young man now- sparkling as he winked his thanks to the bar keep and walked back to his group of friends.

There was no way it could be the same boy from back then... even if those eyes and that face were hauntingly familiar-

“Oi, Inuyasha! Did you get that for me?” a girl giggled as he walked over and handed her the drink, smiling.

“Of course. What kind of date would I be if I let a pretty little thing like you go drinkless? Need something to... wet that palate of yours, hm?” he said smoothly, slipping an arm around the female’s waist as she blushed, returning the gesture.

Sesshoumaru’s breath hitched, his earlier assumption proven correct the moment that name was called.

It had to be the boy that he’d known back in high school, there was no mistaking it. The one by the name of Inuyasha Takahashi who he’d had a brief, and admittedly very hot, fling with until the summer after his graduation when they’d lost any and all contact as Sesshoumaru had been getting ready to move away and go to college.

And now hanyou was here... in his frat house. And all he could do was stare in utter shock, completely forgetting about the significance of the number 35 attached to his back and why he couldn’t move from his spot on the opposite side of the room.

He blinked and the other male was still there.

It was really him...

(1) As far as I know this isn't a real fraternity/ sorority. Granted, I don't know much about them as it is.
