Brothers

The house was like a tomb.
I was hiding in my room.
As my brother made his way on down the hall
I didn't want to say goodbye.
And I was tryin' to deny there was a war,
And that he got the call.


Inuyasha sat in his room trying to think about any thing but his brother Sesshomaru. He was not doing a very good job of it he would just keep thinking that Sesshomaru was going off to war. He could hear him out side his door, he was asking him to came out. He was acting like he didn’t hear him. He could hear him walk away. At that he got up and walked to his window he see Sesshomaru walking down the walk going out to the gate. It hit him then he may never see him again . He ran as fast as his little leg would move, down the stairs and out to the gate. He was yell as he ran “ You came back here you hear.” he was crying by the time he got to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru stop and looked at his little brother, he got down on his knees to look him in his eye. Before he could say any thing Inuyasha cried “I’ll give you my sword. I’ll be the best brother if you’ll not go.” Sesshomaru was so proud of him, but he had to go he had gottin the call, so he whispered with a hug to him “Keep the sword so you keep getting better, by the time I get back maybe you could win against me.” At that Inuyasha just cried harder and said “But why do you have to go?” Sesshomaru just smiled and said “This is what brothers are for” after that he got up and started to walk away but stopped and he looked back at him and said “be good and write me.” At that he walked out the gate and out of sight.

I watched him from my window
Walkin' down the drive.
Then I ran down the stairway
Through the front door and I cried,

You come back you hear?
And I let him see my tears
I said I'll give you my rookie of DiMaggio.
I'll do anything you want,
Clean your room, or wash your car.
I'll do anything so long as you don't go.
But he said, this is what brothers are for.


Inuyasha had many people that he would call his hero, his dad, his grandfather. But the one that he loved the must, the one that showed him how to use his sword. The one that would take him out on hunt was his brother Sesshomaru. He wrote to him every night, he would tell him about his day, how there dad would tell him every day that he was getting stronger. But every time it would get back to how much he missed him. He would tell him how he miss their hunts, or there fights. “I wish I know were your at. Its not fair that for me to have this freedom you have to be there. Just tell me what to do so you can came home. There has to be someone that I can talk to.” Every time he would get a latter back it would tell him “This is what brothers are for.”

Well I have my heroes,
But the one I love the most
Taught me how to hunt and swing a bat.
And I wrote him every night,
I said I miss our pillow fights,
But lately I just wonder where you're at

Sometimes freedom makes it hard to live.
When it takes things from you that you don't want to give.

I said you come back you hear?
I miss you being near.
To laugh and fish down in the maple grove

I'll do anything you want.
There must be someone I can call,
And just maybe they would let you come back home.
But he wrote, this is what brothers are for.

Inuyasha knew that he may never know what war was like. He would never have to face a enemy that would be happy to see you die. He know that he would never have to fight for his life. He would never have to lay in his own blood, and think back on your family back at home. Or what it cast to keep the one you love safe.

I may never have to face the anger of those guns,
Or lie cold and wounded in my blood,
Or know the sacrifice and what it must have cost
For him to love me that much.


It had been two year, he was sitting in his room doing his homework when his dad came and told him that he may want to go out front, He asked why, his dad just smile and said Sesshomaru was out front, but before he could say anything more Inuyasha’s was off running. When he got out-side he stop short and he was fighting his tears when he show that Sesshomaru was in a wheelchair with his left arm gone. When he got to his side and he fell to his knees and he hugged him with every thing he had. Sesshomaru felt shamed that his little brother was seeing him like this. He looked him in the eyes and said “I’m so sorry that you have to help me.” Inuyasha looked at his brother and said with a smile “Hey, this is what brothers are for.” He started to push him up to the house and his family.

Well, it had been two years,
And I held back my tears
When I saw him in that wheel chair on the shore.

And as I ran and held him tight,
That's when he looked me in the eye
And said I'm sorry that you have to push me home.
And I said hey, this is what brothers are for.
