A/N:
Hello, this is a one shot fic that I made. I know that it is short, however it is an old one I wrote and I think I did a good job. I might fix it up; but for the moment I think its good ^^. So I decided to post it. Please don't flame me or anything if it's bad. I will take constructive criticism that would be a great big help ^^. Any flames will be used to warm my house for the entire winter hahaha. Ok, I hope you guys like this story.

Confessions of the Heart

There was a sound of flesh against flesh, followed by a horrible scream of pain. Miroku was on the ground of the forest with a great big red mark on his face. Sango had been sitting next to him on the ground and had gotten on to her feet after this 'incident'.

"I'm going for a walk." she huffed, before stomping off into the forest.

Behind her she left the poor monk on the ground, twitching.

Sango walked furiously into the forest.

'That pervert! He gets worse every day! One day, one day is all I ask! Can't he just be a normal monk for one day?' she thought as she continued her way further into the forest.

She normally didn't get this upset when Miroku would touch her, but today she wasn't in any mood for his antics. Sango was having a bad day, especially after the nightmare she had. She could remember it so vividly.

~Start of Dream~

Sango was in a field of flowers. She bent down to pick some when she saw her brother running towards her. She stood up and waved to him and tried to call out to him, but she couldn't. Her voice was gone. He was running towards her, but every time he would take a step forwards it seemed he would move a few feet backwards.

The sky grew dark and there above her was Naraku. She couldn't move.

Then came Miroku to the rescue. He was using his wind tunnel, when something went wrong. Sango's eyes widened when she saw the hole in Miroku's hand growing bigger before her eyes.

Sango could move all of a sudden and began to run towards him. However, it seemed like she was running in slow motion, while Miroku's hand seemed to be stuck in fast forward as it continued to grow and suck.

By the time she reached him, he had been swallowed up by his own hand, and was gone. Sango started to cry as she fell at the crator that was where Miroku once stood. Then she heard that horrible laugh.

She looked up and saw Naraku directly above her. He held the dead body of her little brother; the one Miroku had just tried to save before being sucked into his accursed wind tunnel Naraku had cursed his family line with.

"All of the men in your life, who you love, are gone, and you couldn't do anything to stop it." Naraku said with an evil laugh.

His laughter rang around her as she wept on her knees.

~End of Dream~

When Sango woke up she was covered in sweat and she didn't want to talk to anyone. She had been in no mood to talk or even eat all that day as the group traveled. When the gang had settled down for a rest, that was when Miroku decided to 'cheer' her up. However, whoever told him that feeling a woman's ass would 'cheer' them up hadn't a damn clue what they were talking about.

'I can't stand it when he does that!' she thought as she continued to storm through the forest; really walking in circles around where the group had settled.

'He is such a pervert!'

Sango continued to walk until her anger subsided.

'But...maybe it's my fault. Maybe if I had asked him to stop, instead of hitting him, he would stop. But...do I really want him too? Is that why I never asked him to stop?'

Sango ended up sitting under a tree, not too far from where the group had set up camp. The day was starting to slowly become night, however she felt she couldn't go on until she settled these feelings that seemed to be bursting out of her.

'Could it be I like him? No way! I can't like that pervert monk! He's so...so...'

Sango slammed her fist into the dirt as she let out a frustrated growl.

"He makes me so mad!" she growled aloud.

Sango took in a few breathes before letting out a sigh. She leaned back against the tree and looked up into the sunset filled sky.

'But...he is a gentlemen, most of the time, when he doesn't feel me up or try to anyway. And he is a great fighter and a very caring man.' she sighed.

"Maybe I do like him...maybe even...love him." she said aloud.

However, it seemed saying those words aloud really made her realize what she had known in her heart since the very day she had met the man. She loved him with her heart. She was amazed that it took a dream of Miroku's hand sucking him in; and having Naraku say what he did; to make her fully realize her feelings.

However, she also realized that she was also afraid. Not of loving him. No, she had nothing to fear when it came to loving him; she knew that for sure. However, she feared loosing him. She feared having Naraku take him away as he had taken her family whether it be killing her father and her village, or enslaving her little brother. Naraku had taken every single person she had ever loved. That was what truly scared her.

Sango sat against the tree watching as the sun was almost gone from the sky. She realized it wouldn't help to let Naraku affect her. She wouldn't let him keep her from loving someone; never again.

"I must tell him my true feelings for him."

Sango stood up and headed back to the campsite.

It was night fall by the time she reached the spot the group had settled in a few hours ago. Inu Yasha was in a tree keeping a watch. Kagome was sleeping underneath the tree, with Shippo snuggled up in her arms as if Kagome was his mother.

She found Miroku sitting close to the fire. He seemed to be the only one really waiting for her to come back. He gave her a charming, yet apologetic smile when she came into his view.

Sango gave him a shy smile back before sitting down next to him. The two stared out into the darkening forest; both sitting in silence. Neither seemed to know what to say to the other.

Sango felt that it would have to be now or never and decided to just tell him everything. How she loves and him and has always felt that way. That she was afraid if she admitted this to him that he, Miroku, would be taken away from her just as those she loved had already been. She wanted to let him know her every feeling and share her entire soul with him.

A hand rubbing her ass stopped all of her thoughts and replaced it with one; and only one.

SLAP!

Sango laid next to Kagome, leaving an unconscious Miroku next to the fire; a huge hand print on his face as well as swirly eyes. She mumbled a few words under her breath before sighing and closing her eyes as she wrapped a blanket around herself.

'Stupid pervert monk...what was I thinking...' was the last thing she thought before drifting off to sleep; a small smile on her lips.

The End
