The Betrayal
"InuYasha, we gotta stop! It'll get dark soon, and we need to rest!" Kagome stomped her foot irately and continued. "Plus, I want a bath, and we passed a hot spring 5 minutes ago."
"I said no, wench, and that's that! We don't know what Naraku's planning, but it can't be good. He's been quiet too long. We hafta find him, damn it! If it wasn't for you weaklings, I woulda come across him by now!" Kagome rolled her eyes, then pulled her trump card.
"If we stop, I'll make you 2 packs of ramen." InuYasha stopped in mid-step, sniffed the air, then left the path, heading through a thick clump of trees. The group followed to find a small clearing sheltered by some large trees. Miroku and Shippo went to find some firewood while the girls set up camp. InuYasha headed off into the woods, calling over his shoulder, "I'm gonna take a look around, see what I can find."
Shippo, overhearing as he returned to camp, muttered, "I bet he's going to look for HER again, he does this every night." Kagome looked over with a bright 'smile' and said, "Shippo, I'm sure he's just making sure this is a safe area. Don't be so rude." Shippo gave her a knowing look, and she looked away, because in her heart, she knew her son was right. Lately it seemed like the group was following Kikyo leads more than Naraku ones, but no one would say anything anymore because of InuYasha's temper.

Later that night, Kagome was just dropping off to sleep when a sudden rustling caused her eyes to snap back open. 'What was that?' she thought. Sitting up, she looked around, only to barely catch a flash of red moving through the trees away from the camp. 'Where is he going?' she wondered as she got up to follow. As she approached another clearing, she could hear voices. She ducked behind a tree on the edge, unable to quite believe what she was seeing or hearing.
"Kikyo, darling, we finally get some time together. Have you thought about what I asked you?" InuYasha almost purred as he laid down a trail of kisses along Kikyo's chin. She arched her neck backwards as she answered, "I have, and my answer is yes, InuYasha, I will become your mate at last." At that, InuYasha took her lips in a bruising kiss as he began to loosen the ties of her hakama. "You know there's no going back after this, right? Once I mark you, you're mine forever." Kikyo hesitated, "But what about my reincarnation? I thought you had feelings for her."
"Kagome? She's just a useless, weak girl who's only good for finding the jewel shards. Yeah I'll keep protecting her, but that's just cause I promised her mother I would. Now you, you're so much stronger than she could ever be, and that's only part of why I love you, Kikyo." Now both completely naked, the two laid down on their spread clothing, and proceeded to complete the mating ceremony. As they both reached their peak, InuYasha's fangs flashed before he buried them in kikyo's shoulder. His roar of satisfaction echoed through the clearing.
Kagome had seen enough. She dashed away from the clearing in tears, stopping by the camp only long enough to snatch up her bow and arrows, before running off into the night.

Well there's the full first chapter! Sorry about the decided lack of citrus. When it came time to write it, I found I just wasn't ready for it. So Please, no flames, but read and review. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
