Lost and Found

Chapter 1: Unexpected Changes
Naraku was returning home from the airport. It was around one in the morning and Naraku risked a glance to the being next to him in the passenger seat. Wavy ebony locks splayed across the seat and window, head cocked to the side with salty tracks left behind by fresh tears, Naraku frowned, his little sister was now his responsibility. Turning his eyes back to the road he thought back to the phone call that would change his life forever.
.oOo~*:Flashback:*~oOo.
It was late afternoon, early evening, and Naraku had just arrived at his apartment from work when the phone started ringing. Wondering to himself who would be calling his house as opposed to his cell, he picked the phone up on the second ring. “Hello” his smooth voice cut across the line.
“Naraku?” The voice sounded broken and hollow, so quiet.
“Yes, this is him.”
“Naraku, mom and dad…Sota…they’re….they’re gone. There was a car accident, and now they’re dead.” The voice on the other side cracked before erupting into wails and pitiful sobs.
“Kagome, I’m sorry, listen, I’m on my way, I will catch the next flight out and be there within 12 hours.” Hanging up the phone, he grabbed his cell, calling his best friend and co-owner or Shikon Enterprises, explaining what had happened and that he would return to work when everything had been worked out and taken care of. He then quickly packed his bag and rushed to Tokyo airport before catching a flight to the America’s.

It had been two weeks since that fateful day, and now he was the legal guardian of his sixteen year old sister, his life would be changed forever.
Turning into a parking space in front of his apartment, Naraku turned off the car and looked at the fragile being next to him. Giving a small sigh, he decided not to wake Kagome and opened the passenger door, pulling her careful out of her seat, he carried her bridal style up to his, well I guess now it is their, apartment.
