I will not let you go
This is a new Inuyasha story… it’s different because its time frame is the present and aside from that the setting is also different because instead of Japan I decided to put the setting in a more familiar one which is where I live. Oh and that country is the Philippines, both countries have similar cultures, well the Japanese conquered the Philippines quite sometime so I guess cultures kind of mixed. So there are still some Japanese touches in the story line. You can expect some changes but I think it would be down to a minimal cause beside from the foretold there are no more changes… I think…
Inuyasha is still a half human half demon from the Inu clan but some characters changed. Miroku is now a demon too a cat demon to be specific. Shippo is still a fox demon but a grown up version of one.
In this alternate Universe demons and humans co-exist harmoniously.
Up to now I still don’t know where this story will lead to… I’ll just let the characters play their roles and I’ll just be the one who types and posts everything they do. So things may change. The things I told you up there may change. This is just to familiarize you my dear readers that at first those things may/will apply.

Chapter 1
Bright light of the sun shone on his face making him shift from his sleep. He covered his face with a blanket. He mumbles something and quickly shot up. *what time is it?* he looks at a digital clock on his side table *6:00!* he quickly got up and scrambled to his walk-in closet to prepare his uniform *I should’ve followed my mom when she told me I should prepare this the night before! Now where are my socks!* in just minutes his once tidy room was in total chaos. Underwear and shirts are all over the place. He placed his uniform on a rack and hurriedly got in the shower with his toothbrush in his mouth.*this is what you call multitasking!* he mentally tells himself as he shampoos and at the same time brush his teeth. He quickly got out of the shower and spit out the remaining toothpaste in his mouth on the sink and gargle the prepared mouth wash. “Ahhh!” he shouted from the after taste/ burning sensation of the wash.
A young man in his twenties got out of the walk- in- closet. He has short white hair, golden yellow eyes, and puppy white ears on top of his head. He’s wearing a white polo shirt and black slacks together with black leather shoes. He look at himself in a life size mirror, when he was satisfied with himself he quickly got his messenger/ sling bag and a couple of books and walked out of the room as fast as he could. He sped his way down a broad wooden staircase as he saw his mom at the end of the steps.
“Mom!” he cried out as he quickly sped down the stairs.
“Yes! Here it is…” his mom waves her hand with a couple of bills on her hand.
*thank god* he mentally said to himself.
“Oh Inuyasha… if you would just do what I told you, prepare your things the night before so you wouldn’t be in such a hurry in the morning.” His mom lightly scolded as she gave the money to Inuyasha.
“Thanks mom.” Inuyasha said as he took the money and gave her mom a light peck.
“There’s some extra cause I know you will not eat your breakfast.” His mom said.
“Thank you mom!” Inuyash said as he turned to leave but was stopped.
He quickly got out of the front door and ran towards the garage. *now where’s my key...* he said as he looked for it inside his bag.
“Inuyasha! You forgot your keys!” Inuyasha’s mom called out from the front door.
Inuyasha then sprinted towards his mother and snatched the keys “thanks mom!” and ran back to his car. A loud click was heard then he quickly opened the door and got in. He threw his bag at the back seat and turned on the car and sped his way out of the garage.
“Be careful Inuyasha! Drive safely now!” his mother’s fading voice was heard as he sped towards the gates of their subdivision. The security guard raised the metal bar and acknowledged Inuyasha with a salute as he sped by and Inuyasha did the same. He looked at the rear view mirror and saw the vanishing view of the subdivisions front gate and the name Philippians Garden written on it.
*I’m just praying that traffic will cooperate…* he mentally chants as he turns to a curve and stopped in a halt as he sees a van in front of him *with me…* all his hopes of reaching his class on time goes up with the smoke coming from the exhaust of the van in front of him. “This is just great!” he said as he laid his head on the steering wheel. He looks to the side to see a black luxury car with black tinted windows. If it wasn’t for his demon powers he wouldn’t be able to see inside, that to his surprise, a man with long silvery white hair, with inu- demon markings on his face, and a cobalt crescent on his forehead was inside. That was not the surprise; instead it was that the man was also looking at him with his seemingly uncaring eyes.
“PEEP! PEEP PEEP!!!” goes a horn from behind Inuyasha. He quickly straightened up when he heard a loud horn to the back of his car and clutched to “drive” and zoomed away. “That man… he’s from the Inu yaokai clan… I wonder if he’s a far relative of ours.” He verbally said to himself. He was brought out of his musing when his cellular phone rang with Shippo’s name flashing in the screen. He answered and put it in loud speaker.
“Hey Fox what up?” Inuyasha greeted.
“Puppy ears! Do you plan to go to class or what?!” Shippo’s voice surrounded the whole of the car.
“Can you stop shouting?! Of course I do! It’s just that I’ll be-“
“Late? Inuyasha… what else is new?” said Shippo “hey is that puppy ears?” a voice was heard at the background.
“Hey Lasy! Didn’t I call you early in the morning! You told me you’re getting up! Don’t tell me you slept again!” now it was Miroku’s voice that surrounded the inside of the car.
“Well… I did…” Inuyasha said half laughing.
“Give me that!” Shippo said from the phone “You better get here and fast! The professor’s already here and the students are being asked to go inside the room.”
“Ok I will…”
“Ok bye.” Was the last thing Shippo said then a click was heard.
“Oh I’ll be there… if this heavy traffic permits it!” Inuyasha half shouted when he was brought to a full stop because of the heavy traffic.
* AT SCHOOL…
Inuyasha was sprinting in the hall way that when he got to the door of his class. It opened and revealed a smirking Shippo. “Inuyasha.” He sarcastically smiled.
Inuyahsa was panting, he inhaled deeply and said “is there still time?”
“There is… plenty of time… FOR TOMMORROW’S CLASS!” Shippo said as students from inside the class rushed out of the room.
“The International Demon School’s, exclusive for boys, most punctual student is finally here!” Miroku announced from behind Shippo. “You really can’t come to school early enough for your morning class can’t you?” he side comment.
“Ugh.” Inuyasha said dejectedly. He turned around started walking towards the cafeteria.
“Cheer up Lasy… It’s just the first day of class and besides we still have the afternoon class.” Shippo said as he put one arm over Inuyasha’s shoulders.
“It’s not like that Shippo. I told myself that I’ll be serious this time but look at how I started this semester… I started off being late.” Inuyasha said.
“Don’t worry Inuyasha… what you lack in punctuality you fill up on brains.” Miroku said from his side.
“So that snide comment is suppose to cheer me up?” Inuyasha said and glared at Miroku and held on to his arm. A small fire erupted from Inuyasha’s palm that startled Miroku that quickly ran towards the drinking fountain pushing someone whose suppose to drink from it.
“No fair Inuyasha.” Miroku said and pointed his finger on Inuyasha’s bag. He flipped his index finger and all the contents of the bag just fountain out.
Inuyasha just stood there, all his things are scattered on the very spacious corridor as Shippo snickered on the side. Inuyasha moved a brow and instantly Miroku’s hair was on fire.
Miroku quickly ducked and doused water on the undying fire on top of his head. Shippo cracked into laughter and tended to Miroku who can’t kill the fire.
Inuyasha grinned and kneeled to get his things from the floor. He was to get the last item on the floor, his car keys, when somebody picked it up so fast that it was a blur.
Inuyasha stood and smiled at the stranger who helped him “Thank –“his mind just stopped when he saw who was in front of him *the man inside the car!* He shakily reached for the keys offered on the man’s palm. “Th- thank you.” He said and turned around and walked towards a soaking wet Miroku and a snickering Shippo.
“Excuse me.” The man’s manly but cold voice called out to Inuaysha.
Inuyasha felt that the whole of the school was in winter when the man called on to him. He turned around to look at the man and shakily said “yes?”
“I didn’t get your name.” the man said.
Inuyasha was feeling uneasy because of the man’s gaze. *It’s as if he’s boring a whole in me.* “My name is Inuyasha. And you are?”
“Sesshomaru” He replied and as if on cue the students from the other class came rushing out of the rooms blocking Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s view.
“Hey!” Inuyasha called out but when the number of students decreased, he was gone.
“So puppy ears… you want to starve to death?” Shippo said and nudge at Inuyasha telling him to look at a soak up Miroku.
“Didn’t you see him?”
“See who?” Miroku said as he neared a snickering Shippo and a dazed Inuyasha.
“Sesshomaru… he was… never mind.” Inuaysha said as he turned to leave followed by Shippo.
“Ahem.” Miroku cleared his throat and pointed to himself “well I love to go with you guys… and it would be much fun to eat when you’re dry and comfy.” He reiterated the latter.
Shippo burst into laughter again as Inuyasha just waved his hand and instantly Miroku was all dried up. Miroku rushed to the two of them “it’s your fault you know.” And they all walked towards the cafeteria.
“So… you love being soaking wet do you?” Inuyasha warned.
“I hate your youkai training. Do you know that?” Miroku said sarcastically. “You being a half demon, having both youkai and spiritual powers are for me really unfair. It’s because of your dad being Inu yaokai and your mom being… I don’t know! I just know that she has a strong spiritual power that runs through her family line. And you having acquired both don’t mean that you can threaten me and Shippo.”
“Speak for yourself Garfeild! I’m not a cat and a dog. ” Shippo shot back at Miroku giggling.
“It’s not my fault that I’m a half demon you know. Sometimes I also feel that some demons and humans don’t like me around.” Inuyasha said his tone of voice giving out a hint of sadness that both Miroku and Shippo felt and made them silent. Inuyasha feeling this “The same feeling I’m having for you right now. It comes out in waves!” Inuyasha side commented and laughed.
“It’s not like that Inu… I was just joking.” Miroku said guiltily.
“Why are you being guilty all of the sudden? Lighten up! Last one to the cafeteria buys us recess!” Inuyasha said as he sprints towards the cafeteria followed by Shippo and Miroku.
*AT THE CAFETERIA…
The trio sat in one circular table where they usually seat. It’s by a big low window that shows the Zen garden project of the gardening club.
“You were saying this guy a while ago what’s his name? She- Se- mamaru?” Shippo said then he took a bite of his clubhouse sandwich.
“Se- who?” Miroku said then took a sip of his hot cocoa.
“Sesshomaru.” Inuaysha sated as he eats his cake.
“So what about him?” Shippo said and took another bite. Miroku sips and listens intently.
“I saw him just before you called me when I was stuck in traffic.” Inuyasha said as he sips his tea.
“So?” said Miroku.
“Well his car was beside mine and I looked at it. I was able to see inside the tinted window and I saw him.”
“That Sesshomaru guy?” said Shippo.
“You want me to continue or you two just but in every time I talk?” Inuyasha said.
Miroku rolled his eyes and Shippo just signaled to continue as he took another bite from his sandwich.
“He has the Inu clan markings, the one’s I obviously lack, and from his car he was staring at me. Well may be not staring but looking… or staring… maybe both.” Inuyasha said as he took another sip from his tea.
“So what do you feel? You attracted to him?” Miroku said bluntly.
Inuyasha’s eyes rounded like a saucer “you could at least whisper your comment!”
“What for? Some of the people here are demons so they’ll hear it even if I whisper.” Miroku said as he laid down his cocoa.
“You could at least spare the humans ears!” Inuyasha hushed.
“We are all boys here… so they’ll probably don’t care anyway, Why are you making such a big deal about this?” Miroku said calmly. “Don’t tell me you really like him?”
“It’s not like that… I just think he’s related… familial… because he’s from the main family. That’s all.” Inuaysha said as he drank his tea Shippo all the while watching the two rant at each other and mentally commenting *they’re really cats and dogs.*
“Excuse me.” A tall man said. The trio looked at him. “Let me introduce myself. My name is Kouga a 4th year. I’m from the wolf demon clan and you are?” Kouga said gesturing at Inuyasha.
“I’m Inuyasha. I’m a half breed Inu and human. These are my friends…” He said gesturing at them “He’s Miroku from the cat demon clan and he’s Shippo from the fox demon clan. The three of us are all 3rd year.” Kouga acknowledged the two of them with a smile and a nod.
“Can I ask what demon training are you on?” Kouga asked Inuyasha.
“I’m taking up my magic and multiple weapons training. Why do you ask?”
“I see… so you’re the one they’re talking about.” Kouga said and grinned.
“I’m sorry but what were you saying?” Inuyasha asked then someone talked to him in his head.
*I was looking all over for you Inuyasha.*
*what do you want?* Inuyahsa mentally said as he glared at Kouga.
Kouga: *Fight me.*
Inuyasha: *No.*
Kouga: *meet me at the demon gym.*
Inuyasha: *I said NO!*
Kouga: *Then I’ll try your friends then.*
Inuyahsa: *don’t you dare touch my friends!*
Kouga: *I’ll see you then. After your snack you could go directly to the gym. You can bring your friends too. I assure you nothing will happen to them. It’s you who I want.*
“I hope you guys would have a nice day.” Kouga said “I’ll see you guys later.” He said and turned around and walked away.
“See us? Later? Tell me Inuyasha what happened in brain waves world?” Miroku inquired.
“He wants to fight me… in the demon gym.” Inuyasha said.
“That’s okay… that’s where our next class will be. Our ‘Youkai training class’” Shippo said calmly “when does he want to fight you?”
“After we finish eating.” Inuyahsa said concernly.
“What are you concerned about? You’re the top student when it comes to things like this.” Miroku said as he finished his cocoa.
“He’s a senior Miroku. And I don’t feel good about this fight either.” Inuaysha said as he stood and walked out of the cafeteria followed by Shippo and Miroku.

“We are all boys here… so they’ll probably don’t care anyway, Why are you making such a big deal about this?” Miroku said calmly. “Don’t tell me you really like him?”
“It’s not like that… I just think he’s related… familial… because he’s from the main family. That’s all.” Inuaysha said as he drank his tea Shippo all the while watching the two rant at each other and mentally commenting *they’re really cats and dogs.*
“Excuse me.” A tall man said. The trio looked at him. “Let me introduce myself. My name is Kouga a 4th year. I’m from the wolf demon clan and you are?” Kouga said gesturing at Inuyasha.
“I’m Inuyasha. I’m a half breed Inu and human. These are my friends…” He said gesturing at them “He’s Miroku from the cat demon clan and he’s Shippo from the fox demon clan. The three of us are all 3rd year.” Kouga acknowledged the two of them with a smile and a nod.
“Can I ask what demon training are you on?” Kouga asked Inuyasha.
“I’m taking up my magic and multiple weapons training. Why do you ask?”
“I see… so you’re the one they’re talking about.” Kouga said and grinned.
“I’m sorry but what were you saying?” Inuyasha asked then someone talked to him in his head.
*I was looking all over for you Inuyasha.*
*what do you want?* Inuyahsa mentally said as he glared at Kouga.
Kouga: *Fight me.*
Inuyasha: *No.*
Kouga: *meet me at the demon gym.*
Inuyasha: *I said NO!*
Kouga: *Then I’ll try your friends then.*
Inuyahsa: *don’t you dare touch my friends!*
Kouga: *I’ll see you then. After your snack you could go directly to the gym. You can bring your friends too. I assure you nothing will happen to them. It’s you who I want.*
“I hope you guys would have a nice day.” Kouga said “I’ll see you guys later.” He said and turned around and walked away.
“See us? Later? Tell me Inuyasha what happened in brain waves world?” Miroku inquired.
“He wants to fight me… in the demon gym.” Inuyasha said.
“That’s okay… that’s where our next class will be. Our ‘Youkai training class’” Shippo said calmly “when does he want to fight you?”
“After we finish eating.” Inuyahsa said concernly.
“What are you concerned about? You’re the top student when it comes to things like this.” Miroku said as he finished his cocoa.
“He’s a senior Miroku. And I don’t feel good about this fight either.” Inuaysha said as he stood and walked out of the cafeteria followed by Shippo and Miroku.
