Summery: Inuyasha/Naruto and Kind of YYH Crossover. Kagome finishes her quest in the feudal era only to be roped into a new one. Itachi Thought that Death would release him and he could finally pay for his sins. He will soon find out that the Gods have other plans for him and they involve a fiery Miko and the defense of his world against youkai.

‘Thoughts’
Chapter One
Kagome can never get a break!
Kagome and Inuyasha both watch as the jewel crumbles before their eyes and could not help but feel a bit of anxiety. What now? They both thought but none would speak it. The last thing Inuyasha heard before both he and Kagome vanished was her screaming “INUYASHA!”
As it turns out Inuyasha was sent back home without Kagome. Kagome however was not sent directly home. Instead she was sent to somewhere else.
Green, Red, Yellow, Blue ogres ran about in front of her like chickens with their heads cuts off. ‘An office?’ Kagome thought wide eyed and mouth gaping at the scene she had never seen anything like it! ‘Where am I?’ She thought as she watched to more ogres collide sending cascades of papers to the floor. Being who she was Kagome ran to help them gather the papers and that’s when they all seemed to notice her.
The room froze not a sound could be heard as everyone stared at Kagome and she stared back. After a moment of silence she laughed nervously “Do you think someone can tell me where I am?” looking all the lost innocence she could muster.
Her voice set everything moving again as all but a blue ogre with yellow hair “Oh your early! Come we must get you to Koenma sir’s office right away.” He said grabbing her arm gently and leading through the huge office towards huge wooden doors.
Georges knocks on the door and Kagome hears an answering “What is it” from what seemed to be a child’s voice. George cracked the door open and stuck his head inside “Koenma sir the girl has arrived.” He informed his boss .
Koenma knowing the reaction he would get from the girl due to his experience with Yusuke he transformed into his teenage form “Let her in ogre” he ordered in a now noticeably male voice.
George shakes his head at his bosses actions and pushes the door open to reveal a very curious Kagome. “Kagome Higurashi please come in we have much to discuss.” Koenma stated from behind his desk still stamping away.
“I suppose we do. Lets start with where am I? Why am I Here? And what do u want with me?” she asked wanting answers. She did not spend all that time in the feudal era getting kidnapped only to finish that and get kidnapped again!
“Ah, well you are in the Spirit World. You are here to discuss your illegal time travel offense. What I am to do will be one of two things, 1 you will be imprisoned here in Spirit World jail, or you will except the position as Spirit Detective to one of the worlds dimensions.” He finished looking up at her with a stern stare as he pauses in his stamping.
Kagome sputters at hearing the term illegal time travel then chokes upon hearing the word imprisoned. “What! Imprisoned! You cant be serious!” she screams in shock her mouth dropping open as her eyes widens comically.
“I can assure you Ms. Higurashi that I do not take Spirit World violations lightly” he replied in a hard tone.
“But if it was violation that why was the well activated in the first place! It should not have let me through or mistress centipede out!” Kagome Argued back she was not in the wrong what was this nonsense he was spilling?
“Be that as it may you should have returned home and never went back.” Koenma answered easily. “Instead you stayed and the jewel was broken. Which in fact is another violation being in possession of magical contraband.”
“What? No! If you want to get technical then my having the jewel was YOUR fault! Therefore I am not at fault for your forgetting to separate the jewel from the soul of Kikyo! Without the jewel my time travels would have never happened! So you see it is your fault.” Kagome accused pointing fiercely at the prince.
“Yes well your incarnation had smuggled it in then smuggled it out during reincarnation. Someone must pay for her crimes and since you are the current owner of that soul it is you” Koenma stated while standing and pressing a big red button on the corner of his desk. “You must decide what it is you will do. Will you serve your sentence in Spirit World prison or will you agree to be a detective for the Spirit World?” He asked while 3 big beefy guys dressed in grey uniforms stepped into his office and blocked the door awaiting orders.
Kagome looked over at the guys and started to get nervous. ‘He was serious about sending me to PRISON!’ she thought incredibly nervous fidgeting every now and again ‘I have no other choice, but’ her thought ran out as she decided to voice it aloud. “Surely you do not plan on dumping me in some unfamiliar world by myself? I would have you know that I was never fully trained as a Miko and as such would not stand a chance against a demon on my own!”
“I can assure you Ms. Higurashi that I have a partner from that world picked out for you and he will explain all the things you need to know about the new place. He like you is also serving a sentence to Reikai, though he is no demon slayer he is a ninja. He is aware that you are not from his world and he must explain to you all you need to know in order to not stick out. You in turn will tell him all you know of youkai.” Koenma explained confident his voice strong and steady to convey his confidence in his choice.
Kagome sputtered “You are going to send me demon hunting with a human who knows nothing of youkai? Are you out of your mind!?”
Koenma’s face reddened as his anger took hold of him “He may not be experienced with youkai, but he is powerful enough to do the job. The real question here is are you?” he asked taking his seat now knowing that she was not turning down his most generous offer.
“I will agree as long as I am allowed visitation with my friends and family every now and again. I can not allow them to think I had perished in the battle with Naraku my mother is probably worried sick by now.” Kagome said crossing her arms over her chance and standing in a stance that would convey that this was something she would not take no for an answer about.
“I can agree to that it was something I was going to allow anyway. However before you are allowed to take this job you must prove you are capable. Your first mission will be solo and you will be retrieving your partners dead body to bring back to the Reikai.” Koenma informed her and waited for the sparks to fly.
“What?! Ok never mind you have all the information needed to retrieve him I suppose?” Kagome asked in a frustrated and tired tone. She was really sick of how fate decided how she would be its new poster girl.
