A Night to Remember

A/n: oh wow… its way too late to be writing fics. Now this one might so somewhere. After all, I came up with it while talking to someone about it. Its different so I don’t know… Well, please review and tell me what you think ^-^

“Here you go Kagome.” Inuyasha said as he helped Kagome out of the well. She was only going to pick up a few stuff before they went back. After all, Kagome promised him that she was going to live with him in the past. The jewel was gone, Naraku was dead, and they could finally live happily together where no one could tear them apart.

“Let me grab a few…” Kagome’s eyes widened as she watched Inuyasha glowing. “Inuyasha!” She cried as he fell down the well in a pillar of light. Her mother grabbed her before Kagome could fall down herself. Tears came to her eyes as realization hit her. Her time in the past was over. No more jumping down the well, no more being with Inuyasha, not anymore. The past no longer needed her. After all, Kagome was nothing more then a girl from modern day, in love with a half demon from the past.

**

Five years had passed for the raven haired girl. Finally out of high school and now into Collage, Kagome had long given up on going back to the past for Inuyasha. Her heart still longed for him, but she knew better. If he was still alive, he would be here now, trying to find her. But when she thought about it, no one could love someone for five hundred years. Eventually memoires would be lost and he would move on. All she cared about was if he was happy or not.

“Kagome!” Eri called as she ran up to her friend. “You have that look on your face again.”

Kagome gave her friend a slight glare. “What are you going on about Eri? I think your starting to lose your mind.”

The woman laughed. “If someone is losing their mind, its you Kags. Anyway, the girls and I were going to go clubbing tonight and you’re going even if we have to tie you up and throw you in Ayumi’s trunk. We did it once, and we’ll do it again in a heartbeat.”

The raven haired girl shivered at the thought of last time. If she remembered right, it was because she didn’t want to go clubbing as well. “What time?” She sighed.

“Seven o’clock. Dress sexy, we’re going to the Kaiken Phrase tonight. I hear there is this drop dead sexy guy singing tonight. Girls on campus are going on about how his voice feels like he’s just undressing you with his words.”

Kagome shook her head, waved goodbye to her friend and walked off. Well, if she was going clubbing then she was going to look sexy.
**
Loud, annoying, and flashy. That’s the only thing that came to Kagome’s mind as she walked into the club. The music pounded though the speakers, bodies pressed themselves together, and lights flashes everywhere. In a matter of moments, her friends left her and Kagome stood at the door, regretting that she showed up. Her clothing consisted of a black corset halter top, as well as a short black shirt. On her feet she wore boots which reached almost to her knees with the lace running up to the top. Her friends called it ‘the sexy army boots’ Kagome always called them hooker boots and never wore them unless if she was wearing this particular outfit. Ad of course, she could already feel eyes on her as she walked up to the bar.

“Something Hard.” She sighed to the bartender.

The man laughed. “You’re here for five minutes and you already look like your world just ended.”

Kagome glared at him and wished he was a demon. That way she could purify his ass as get her drink. Finally after getting what she asked for, Kagome turned and watched as people moved together in what she could only guess was dancing. And of course like always, her mind began to wonder in the past.

She always wondered what happened to everyone after she left. She was sure that Miroku and Sango had many children and their children became demon slayers as well. And of course the sons would be demon slayers with wondering hands. After all, with the father they had, it was to be expected. Kagome hoped that Shippo didn’t get picked on too much. She also hopped that he grew taller, lived his life, and lived happily with his life. Maybe even had some little kitsunes with another fox. That would have made Kagome happy to know if he did or not. She also hoped that Inuyasha moved on with his life. After all, Kagome was forced to move on with hers. Knowing Inuyasha, he would have done whatever to get back to Kagome’s time. And once he found out he couldn’t maybe he would have gone on a rampage of some sort. Of course knowing him, he got into a fight with Sesshomaru.

Kagome stopped for a moment in the middle of her drink. Did she see what she thought she saw? A flash of yellow eyes staring at her? Silver hair like the moonlight? Instantly she got up and placed her drink down. She needed to make sure. The likely hood of her running into Inuyasha here was a million to none, but she still needed to know.

“Excuse me!” She yelled as she pushed by the pulsing bodies. She needed to find him. Even though Kagome told herself that she let go, she never did.

“Alright everyone!” The DJ called out causing everyone to stop which made it impossible for Kagome to move now. “I have a special treat for everyone tonight. Now, trying to get this guy here is just about impossible. I just about lost my arm asking him to get on this stage tonight.” People laughed at his comment. Kagome on the other hand was looking around to see if she could find who she was looking for. “Anyway, without further delay, I bring you, Sesshomaru Taisho.” Instantly people burst out in cheering. The only one not cheering was one lonely girl whose eyes were wide in shock and mouth dropped in bigger shock.

Sesshomaru, just how she remembered him, walked on the stage. His long silver hair, which seemed to never grow any longer then that, was tied back, making his ears stand out more then normal, as well as his markings. He wore a tight white shirt that showed his muscles and a black over shirt on top. The jeans he wore were also tight, making every man who had a girlfriend there, green with jealousy. His golden eyes looked out at the crowed, looking as bored as he always was. That was till he locked eyes with a certain girl. A girl who was the most shocked out of everyone. Slowly a smirk crossed his lips and he opened his mouth as the music started.

/I continued wandering aimlessly, all alone
A faint sigh painting a stroke of white
In the ephemeral nature of the changing seasons
Tears overflowed without any reason
"Even now I love you..."./

Instantly Kagome stiffened at the words. She knew that he had a voice of a god, but something like this was unexpected.

/The continually falling sadness changes into pure white snow
Through it all, I raised my head to the sky
Before this body disappears now, if my wish reaches you
Please hold me tight just once more /

By then the whole club became quiet at his voice, entranced by the sound of his voice.

/We didn't understand each other and hurt each other over and over again
Even at those times you were always kind
I cut myself on the suddenly surrendered ring
As our promises to each other were not granted
"Even now I remember..."/

Kagome clutched her chest. His words seemed so painful. It was like he held in all this before now. And now he seemed raw as he sang.

/The fading memories are too brilliant as always
I wanted to be closer by
We can't meet again but you were always close to hold me up
Just you, don't change yourself/

Why could she only remember the ruthless demon who tried to kill her so many times? The fights he had with Inuyasha? But at the same time, she couldn’t forget how carful he was with Rin. How gentle he seemed.

/I can't erase those last tears you showed me/

She remembered the run in with his father’s sword, when she risked her life to save Rin from the demonic sword. He showed up then, faster then Inuyasha did. He saved her life.

/Even if I disappear along with this white snow
I want to always bloom in your heart/

He saved her when she was almost killed by poison with the band of seven…

/We held each other close don't forget that warmth
Even if you love someone else
I'll never let go of the sound the last I heard of your voice
I want to fall into a deep sleep
The continually falling sadness changes into pure white snow
Through it all, I raised my head to the sky
Before this body disappears now, if my wish reaches you
Please hold me tight just once more/

Tears fell down her face, her eyes looking deep into his golden ones. So much like Inuyasha’s, but different. The color was different, but the personalities were opposite from each other. But the pain in his eyes as the words escaped his mouth, was put there. No one would take him seriously. No one who didn’t know him.

/"Please hold me tight just once more..."/

As the last notes left his mouth, and even long after the song ended, the whole room was silent. Slow at first, then exploding, everyone began to cheer for him. Girls screaming their undying love. Sesshomaru gave a small bow and handed the mic back over before disappearing off stage.

She slowly made it back to the bar, her drink still sitting where she left it. Tears still fell down her eyes as she took a small sip. It tasted a little different, but at the moment, she didn’t care. Why didn’t she see it before? Was it because Kagome was always around Inuyasha that she never cared to see it? He acted like such a stoic demon that she never cared to notice. His guard was so well that Kagome just assumed that was how he was. Five years for her, five hundred for him. He lost Rin, Jaken probably died along the way; he had no one but himself.

Downing the rest of her drink, Kagome felt even more tears fall down her face.

“I would never take you to be the emotional type of drunk.”

Kagome quickly turned around to see the man who haunted her thoughts. “Sesshomaru-sama!” She gasped.

Sesshomaru held up his hand to stop her. “This Sesshomaru is no longer a lord, Miko. Sesshomaru will suffice.”

Kagome gave a small nod and watched as he ordered two more drinks. “Though, I am curious to how you lived for five hundred years. Even if you are a miko, you’re not immortal.”

The girl crossed her arms. “My name is Kagome, not miko. I think I told you that many times Sesshomaru.”

He took his drink and sipped a little of it. “That does not answer my question.”

“I’m not immortal Sesshomaru.” Kagome finally said. “I just traveled though time.” She opened her mouth to explain even more, but she started to feel a little… funny. There was no way that the alcohol affected this much. Heat began to pulsate though her, forcing her to clutch the table to stop herself from falling over. “Wha…what?” She muttered confused.

Sesshomaru on the other hand stiffened. It was hard to tell from all the bodies, but it was there. Instantly his eyes narrowed at her. Being who she was, he figured she had more dignity then that. “You will calm yourself miko.” He growled.

Kagome looked at him and shook her head. “No… I don’t know what it is…” Then it hit her. Someone had drugged her drink while she left. Who it was, she didn’t know, but she was indeed drugged. She tried to stand, only to tumble as she did.

Quicker then he should have, Sesshomaru caught her easily. Though touching her must have been a mistake for instantly her arousal spiked at his touch. Unfortunately it was starting to affect him as well.

Her vision started to blur as the drug continued to run its course though her system. “I…I need you to take me home Sesshomaru…” She muttered before her vision blurred once more and soon went black.
**
There was yelling, that much she could tell. Yelling and a bright light that could only mean the sun were out.

“One day! I take off one day and it has only been an hour before you call me. Are all of you incapable of taking care of such simple tasks?” The man who was yelling seemed vaguely familiar. “If you can not solve this problem by the time I return tomorrow in the morning, I will fire every single one of you pathetic morons and hire myself a new crew who is capable of handling their work. Do you understand me?!”

Kagome slowly opened her eyes, groaning at the fact the sun was beaming right in her face. “Where am I?” She muttered. There were a few things that told her she wasn’t home. The fact that her bed was no where as comfortable as this one was, and that she had thick black curtains on her window so no sun came out.

“You happen to be at my house.” The male voice said. He seemed closer then when he was screaming on the phone.

Kagome attempted to open her eyes once more only to see Sesshomaru standing there in the doorway. What woke her up the most was the face he wore jeans and nothing else. His well toned muscles showed that he was much stronger then he looked. But strange enough, he had both arms. His left arm held a scar where it was cut off long ago.

“You asked me to bring you home before you passed out. Unfortunately I do not know where you live miko. So I just brought you back here to my place instead.”

Kagome blinked a couple times before her face turned bright red. “Before you flatter yourself in thinking that I got aroused by you Sesshomaru, your mistaken. My drink got drugged last night.” She looked down to notice that the only thing she wore was an overly sized white t-shit. If possible her face turned even redder.

Sesshomaru raised a clawed hand. “Before you flatter yourself, I did not take advantage of your body. You were having a hard time breathing and I just changed your clothes for you. Your body isn’t… arousing enough to make me do anything to you.”

Kagome’s jaw dropped in shock. “You fucking ass hole!” She yelled, throwing a pillow at his head. “I can’t believe you just said that to me! You insensitive jerk! And after I cried for you!”

Sesshomaru grabbed her hands. “You will cease your actions Miko.” He said his face mere inches away from hers. “Go wash yourself and head downstairs for breakfast. There are clothes waiting for you in the bathroom. And do not have any illusions for me. Last night was nothing more then just a song. Stop trying to read into it.” He let her go and left the room. He could smell his tears from where he stood, but he couldn’t afford to care. Not again. Not another human girl.
