Accidents Will Happen
"DAMN!" The phone was slammed down on its receiver, cracking the handset.
"Bankotsu, what's wrong?" Jakotsu was scared. His brother seldom got this angry, and never at work.
"That was InuYasha. He caught the flu from Miroku and he can't come in tonight, or the next couple of nights. Says he's running a high fever and he was coughing up at storm when I was talking to him. Now what am I going to do, he was Miroku’s backup driver?" Bankotsu paced back and forth, twirling the end of his long black braid in his hand like he always did when he was extremely upset. His face turned red as he gazed at the stack of delivery orders that were piling up. He had a policy of making sure that all pizzas were delivered within forty minutes of being ordered or they were free. At this rate, he would be giving out free pizza because of it taking longer. “Damnit anyway! How in the hell are we going to fill all these orders?”
"It looks like one of us is going to have to make the pizza deliveries for the next couple of days." Jakotsu tried to keep calm in the face of his furious brother. “Tell you what, you flip a coin and we see who drives.”
Both men were excellent in the making of the pizza, that wouldn’t be problem. But taking the time to construct and baking cycle to deliver them was something totally different. Bankotsu was the quicker maker, but also the better driver. He knew the area better than his brother who had been away to college before coming to the newly renovated town to help open a family run pizzeria. In four years there was a lot of construction in the town and new subdivisions that Jakotsu just didn’t know his way around yet. “Naw, it’ll be better if I just do it. You make the pizzas. We just won’t take any more delivery orders for a while. Now let’s get these orders started.”
Jakotsu stared at his older brother. He knew what he wasn’t saying, It’s true that since his return to town, he had gotten lost a couple of times making deliveries when they really needed two drivers, but he was learning his way around. And that new GPS in the car had helped him tremendously. Still, when Bankotsu makes up his mind about something, he couldn’t be talked out of it. Jakotsu just knew, deep in his soul, that this was not going to be a good night for their pizza business. Trying to put a better spin on the matter he offered, “I got the first five in the ovens now, should be ready to come out in about four minutes, so seven minutes to the first deliveries. We won’t be too far behind.”
Bankotsu bit the inside of this cheek, and decided to just go with it the best they could. Knowing their pizzas were the best tasting in town, he would continue to make them and then deliver them as quickly as possible. Having three ovens didn’t hurt in making them fast, but could he deliver them just as quickly? That was the question. Rolling up his sleeves, he grabbed the first five orders and prepared the boxes the hot pizzas would be put into. He lined up the orders so he could make as much a straight line from one place to the other, being efficient should cut down on too many delays.
Eight minutes later, with five pizzas in their boxes and hot-wraps, Bankotsu was out the side door on his way to the car, yelling back to his brother. “Be back in twenty minutes, have the next batch ready to be delivered.” He placed the delivery orders so the first to go was on top and placed them on the passenger side seat of the car. He slid into the driver’s seat and within thirty seconds was speeding out the driveway enroute to order number one’s residence, just four blocks away.
The first order got there in thirty-seven minutes, so no freebie for that customer. All he got was a smile and a “Thank you for ordering from Seven Bands pizzeria.” The next two were also barely on time, but still got there. Bankotsu was onto order number four’s house, just two blocks away. At this rate, maybe no one would get a free pizza tonight.
Bankotsu was pulling up the intersection just before the next house. He had a green light and was thankful for it seemed the gods were looking down on him with favor tonight. He entered the middle of the intersection when suddenly, from the right side came a car speeding through the intersection, running the red light, and running directly into the front passenger side of Bankotsu’s car. The airbags exploded into Bankotsu’s face momentarily knocking out the driver and squashing the two remaining pizzas.
A yank on Bankotsu’s driver’s door from outside pulled it open and a clawed hand reached in to check on the unconscious delivery man. The other driver yelled out, “OH CRAP! NOT HIM! Kouga’s gonna kill me for this!”
The exclamation and sound of Kouga’s name brought Bankotsu around, and although groggy, he was able to see who was yelling. He turned his head to see the other person and weakly said, “Ginta?”
“I’m so sorry, Kotsu, I didn’t notice the light was red. It’s all my fault. Are you okay?” Ginta was really worried he had badly injured Bankotsu. Kouga would never forgive him if he hurt his live-in lover in a stupid car wreck. “Kotsu, please say something.” He stood, got out his cell phone and called 911 to report the accident and get an ambulance for the injured man. He keyed in Kouga’s phone number to break the news when he saw Bankotsu moving his head around, obviously in some distress. He closed the flip phone and put it away.
Bankotsu shook his head; something was throbbing in the back of the neck and head. He rubbed the area with both hands trying to alleviate the pain, which helped. He continued to self-massage the area and then a thought hit him. He was driving Kouga’s new car tonight and his lover was going to kill him for wrecking it. “Hey Ginta, have you told Kouga yet?”
Kneeling next to the stilled-dazed driver he asked, “Uh, no. Why’d you ask?” Now the young ookami was getting worried. If Bankotsu wanted Kouga told, that means he was definitely going to be one dead wolf before the night was over. “I just called for the police and ambulance for you. I was just about to call him though.”
“No, don’t call him! Look, we have to keep this accident quiet for a little while. Kouga will have a heart attack if he finds out about it.” Apparently they had the same thought, but for different reasons.
The spiky-haired wolf demon was confused but relieved. The longer he could avoid telling his cousin about this, the better. He didn’t relish the idea of having his head handed to him for being so careless. He realized though, that Kouga would find out really quickly about the accident once the paramedics arrived. “Hey, Kotsu, how bad are you hurt? I mean, Kouga’s going to find out about this as soon as the ambulance gets here. We’ll be lucky if he isn’t one of the guys responding.”
The frazzled pizza man’s eyes flew open and he gasped. “Wait, did you say you called for an ambulance. Ginta! Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” He was feeling panicked now. Kouga loved his new sports car, had spent hours polishing the chrome to a high shine and the red lacquered exterior to a mirror finish. “Look can you cancel the ambulance? I mean…” It was too late to finish the sentence as two sirened vehicles arrived on the scene, one a police car, the other the dreaded ambulance.
Ginta got up to meet the police officer as he approached the mangled cars, stating, “It’s my fault, officer. I didn’t see the light turned red.” Then he froze. The policeman was familiar, too familiar. ‘Oh crap!’ was this thought. “Uh… Hi Renkotsu. Funny meeting you here tonight.” It was the other driver’s brother, the one with the reputation for having a nasty disposition.
“Ginta! What the hell happened here?” The uniformed man asked as he approached the wreckage. “Isn’t that Kouga’s new car?”
Ginta scratched the back of his head and turned red in the face. “Yeah, it is.”
“What are you doing driving that thing? Kouga never lets anyone touch that car, no one except…” The burly cop realized there were two cars there, and the other was familiar also. “Hey, isn’t that your car buried into the side of Kouga’s car? And if that’s your car, then who was driving Kouga’s car?” The question was answered as Bankotsu undid the still-fastened seat belt and stumbled out of the car. Still rubbing the back of his neck, Bankotsu started walking over to meet his police officer brother, but before he got two feet, collapsed in the middle of the intersection.
Ginta and Renkotsu rushed over to the fallen man, as the ambulance came to a screeching halt a few yards away. The doors to the paramedics’ unit opened and out came two more familiar people. The driver was none other than the aforementioned Kouga, the other, his cousin and brother to Ginta, Hakkaku. Neither ookami paid any attention to who was involved in the accident; they ran to the back of the squad, opened the doors and grabbed their medical equipment. As they worked their way through the small crowd that gathered at the accident scene, everything unfolded to their surprised eyes. Kouga noticed the two cars joined in a T-shape blocking all traffic, Hakkaku noticed a man on the ground.
Kouga saw his new car now a mangled mass of red and chrome metal and let out a sharp, angered yelp. “What the hell happened here?” While Hakkaku noticed the prone form of his partner’s lover on the ground and yelled, “Hey Kouga, get over here, it’s Bankotsu!”
Kouga lifted his head from the sight of his precious new Mustang and looked at the man on the ground. When it sunk in that it was his lover, he ran over and knelt beside him. Seeing no blood, but finding him unconscious, he asked, “What happened here?” He looked at the two other men that had already been at the injured man’s side, finding his cousin and good friend and colleague. “What the hell is this, a family gathering?”
Ginta raised his eyes to meet his cousin’s. Slightly cowering he whispered, “Kouga, I… I ran a red light and hit your car. Kotsu was driving. I’m sorry.”
The senior paramedic glared at his soon to be late cousin and growled. “You did this?” Then he looked at the police officer and said, “I strongly suggest you get him out of here before we have two patients to tend to.”
Hakkaku moved between his brother and cousin, pushing Ginta out of the way and pled. “Come on Kouga, no fighting. We have to take care of Bankotsu.” Renkotsu wisely took Ginta by the arm and helped him stand up and walk over the patrol car, placing him in the back seat while he got out a clipboard with papers attached. As he started filling out the accident report he looked over this shoulder to see that his older brother was being properly cared for.
The two ookami paramedics opened their gear and as Hakkaku took out a blood pressure cuff, Kouga tried to get Bankotsu to wake up by snapping an ammonia capsule and placing it under his nose. That worked as the unconscious man coughed at the strong odor and opened his eyes. The first thing he saw through tearing eyes (ammonia will do that to you) was his lover, and owner of the aforementioned shiny red sports car. It took several moments for everything to register as he heard Kouga quietly talking to him. “You’re going to be just fine, Banks, Don’t try to move. We’ll take care of you.”
Bankotsu gave a little smile in recognition as he gingerly turned his head to see what was constricting around his upper arm. He saw the blood pressure cuff and Hakkaku and cringed as it got much tighter on his arm and then slowly started to loosen as a whoosh of air could be heard coming from the deflating device. “It’s 135 over 76 Kouga, respirations are 12, and pulse is 108.” Hakkaku started rattling off vital statistics to his partner, who wasn’t paying much attention to him. So he raised his voice slightly. “Kouga! Did you get that?”
That snapped the other paramedic out of his trance. “Yeah, got it, 135/76, 12 and 108.” He looked down at Bankotsu who apparently didn’t understand the meaning of the numbers. He smiled. “It means you’re ok. Still we want to take you to the hospital to have you checked out.”
There were not arguments from the patient and he lay there while Hakkaku went to the back of the ambulance and got out a stretcher and wheeled it beside Bankotsu’s body. “Kouga put on the collar and then we can lift him up.”
A hard, white plastic object was taken from one of the medical cases and carefully slide part of the hinged collar under Bankotsu’s head, and brought the other part across the front of his neck and closed it with some Velcro straps. Once the immobilizer was in place, a body-length flat board was taken from the stretcher and as Kouga carefully turned Bankotsu onto his side, the board was slid under his body and then Kouga rolled him back onto the board. On a count of 1-2-3, the board was lifted and placed on the stretcher. Safety straps were fastened over Bankotsu’s head, chest and legs to keep him still and the stretcher was wheeled back to the squad. Kouga jumped in the back of the ambulance and squatted down to grab the head of the stretcher and helped guide it in. After it was in locked into place, Hakkaku closed the door and went to the driver’s side, got in and started the engine up. With sirens blaring, the unit raced to the hospital that was a few minutes away.
All the while, Renkotsu finished his report, called for two wreckers and made sure that Ginta wasn’t hurt, himself. Ginta assured him that it was more fear of reprisal from his cousin over the damage to his precious car and Renkotsu for causing his brother to be injured that he was concerned about. Renkotsu smiled. He knew that Kouga was going to have a lot to say about the car later, and the fact that Ginta took responsibility for the accident was enough for him. He filled out the report, issued a citation for running the red light and offered Ginta a ride home.

A short time later, the ambulance was parked in the Emergency Room squad bay and Bankotsu was wheeled into the hospital. Kouga refused to leave his side, even though Bankotsu was conscious, talking and reassuring his lover that he was really okay. The pain in his neck was gone and now he just wanted to go home and rest. The ookami, of course, would not hear any of it and insisted that he stay and be checked out thoroughly.
After being poked and prodded by a battery of nurses and doctors, x-rays and a CT to be sure there was not real damage to his head and neck, Bankotsu was finally released to go home. He was ordered to rest for a few days and if the pain in his neck or head returned, take two Tylenol. He was referred to his family doctor for follow-up in two to three days. Since he didn’t have a car there, Kouga and Hakkaku offered to use the ambulance to drive him back to the apartment. Opting for a taxi, since he didn’t want to waste tax-payer money for that kind of service, Bankotsu convinced Kouga to let him go home alone, promising to go straight to bed. He also assured his attentive lover that he would call if there was anything he required, or if he needed to return to the hospital.

Later that night, Kouga returned home, tired and wary from worry about his boyfriend. He quietly entered their dark apartment, flipped on the hall light and walked into the bedroom, where he found Bankotsu lying down, but not sleeping. “Hey, I thought you were supposed to be resting.”
Bankotsu looked at the silhouette of his lover back-dropped by the hall light. “I am resting. I was just waiting for you to come home. I feel fine, really.”
“Well, if you are so fine, then why’d you collapse in the middle of the street?” Kouga’s concern returned in earnest.
“If my burly brother had seen me in the car, I think Ginta would have been in trouble. I figured if I got out, he’d go easy on him. Besides, except for a little pain in the neck, I felt fine. Now, why don’t you come to bed and make me feel even better” He smiled, threw back the coverlet and patted the bed, inviting Kouga to him.
Kouga wasn’t totally convinced, but seeing the naked body of his lover revealed from under the blanket was enough incentive for him. The ookami removed his uniform and slipped under the blanket next to Bankotsu. He snuggled up, allowing the injured man to rest his head on a shoulder and proceeded to gently massage the slightly tender spot on the back of Bankotsu’s neck. When he got no complaints of pain or discomfort, he wrapped both arms around his lover and pulled him closer to his side. “You know you scared the hell out of me tonight, right? I still don’t understand what you were doing there at that time.”
Lifting his head a bit to look at Kouga, hall light reflecting in the azure eyes that stared at him, Bankotsu told the chain of events that led to the accident. When he was done, Kouga was about to say something, but he didn’t want to talk about it anymore. He placed a finger against his lover’s lips and whispered, “Shhh.” When it was apparent that there would be no more talk, he eased his finger away and quickly replaced it with his own lips.
Kouga closed his eyes and accepted the kiss, returning it with passion that quickly was turning to lust. He extended his tongue just enough to encourage Bankotsu to part his lips, and then delved into the sweet cavern. He gently sucked on the other’s tongue, extracting a gasp and moan from his lover. Next he moved from the warm moistness of Bankotsu’s mouth to his neck, planting nipping kisses along the jaw line and eventually the side of the neck itself. He lingered at one particularly sensual spot, just over the jugular, sucking and licking the sweetness of his lover’s skin.
Bankotsu moaned as Kouga’s oral assault on his neck sent tingles down his body, landing in his groin causing an erection to form. He tilted his head to the side, giving freer access to his neck and shoulders, and when two lips worked their way down his chest and encircled one of his pinkish nubs, he let out a gasp and arched his back into Kouga. That talented tongue darted out and flicked over the now erect nipple, extracting more moans from Bankotsu and sending electric sparks throughout his body.
The moans were music to Kouga’s ears and acted as more assurance that his lover was indeed not feeling any after-effects of the accident. Another effect of those moans was felt deep within Kouga as his own manhood came to life. He continued working on one nipple then slid his tongue across Bankotsu’s chest to its mate, again sucking and teasing it. All too soon, he stopped and looked up at his lover, who lay there with his eyes closed, drinking in all the wondrous sensations bestowed upon him.
Seeing the look of ecstasy on Bankotsu’s face at this simple gesture, he decided to continue on and lowered his head, inching his tongue down Bankotsu’s sternum and lower. He stopped momentarily as he dipped his tongue into the inverted navel and gave a swirl of his tongue. His reward was a moan and his lover saying, “Lower, go lower. I want more of that.”
Not being one to disappoint, Kouga slipped his tongue out and continued a path past the dark mass of curls that surrounded a now throbbing erection, down its length until coming to rest at the mushroom shaped cap. He twirled his tongue all around the tip, causing Bankotsu to writhe under his ministrations. A throaty “more” was followed by two lips capturing the head of the shaft and gently sucking on it. Beads of precum formed and were lapped up, like droplets of melting ice cream from a cone. He then lowered his mouth and engulfed the weeping member in its entirety, bringing screams of pleasure as Bankotsu threaded his fingers in Kouga’s silky dark hair.
Bankotsu was in heaven and all too soon a burning in his nether regions ignited, a clear indication that much more of this and he would come. He felt that glorious mouth descend lower onto his length and that tongue put slight pressure on the vein that ran from base to tip while Kouga moved a hand lower and cradled and caressed his balls. He arched his back off the bed, grabbed tight onto Kouga’s hair and cried out his lover’s name as he came hard into Kouga’s waiting mouth. Kouga drank all of his lover’s offerings and sucked gently to get every last sweet drop. When there was no more to be had, Kouga raised up and kissed a panting Bankotsu deeply, allowing the mixed taste of his own saliva and the traces of Bankotsu’s essence.
Kouga knew his lover was satisfied, but his own needy erection was throbbing, wanting its own release. He waited until Bankotsu’s breathing was more normal and looked into his eyes. “I want you now, Kotsu.”
Bankotsu didn’t want to leave his lover unfulfilled. He had just had the best blow job in recent memory, and wanted to give Kouga as much pleasure as he had gotten. He spread his legs wide and allowed Kouga to situate himself between his parted legs. Two strong hands slid under his thighs and gingerly lifted them off the bed and pulled Bankotsu until Kouga’s heated shaft was pressed just against his anal opening, his upper legs now rested on Kouga’s hips.
Kouga then reached over and grabbed a tube of KY from the nearby night stand. He liberally coated three fingers and threw the tube on the bed. As he leaned down to kiss Bankotsu again, he slipped one lubricated finger into the puckered entrance, extracting a slight groan at the invasion. Kouga deepened his kiss, distracting his lover from any discomfort, and slowly started moving the inserted digit in and out. Another finger and then the third were joined to the first as Kouga finger-fucked Bankotsu. He curled his fingers slightly until he was able to push in and rub against Bankotsu’s prostate.
At the first glance against the sensitive nerve bundle, Bankotsu broke the kiss and cried out. The pleasure that surged through his body reinvigorated his spent member. His newly reformed erection gained friction from being trapped between his and Kouga’s body. All too soon, though, the fingers that reawakened his erection were removed and Bankotsu let out a disappointing groan.
“Don’t worry baby, I’m not done.” The ookami said as he picked up the KY and put a fairly good amount in his hand and rubbed it over his own aching cock. He looked deep into Bankotsu’s perspired face and leaned over, and positioned his shaft at the conditioned entry. A slight nod from Bankotsu was his cue, and in one swift motion, buried himself deep within his lover. He placed his hands on Bankotsu’s hips and started thrusting immediately, not giving any time for adjustment to the engorged length that sat deep within the tight hot passage.
Bankotsu moaned and wrapped his arms around Kouga’s waist. He relished the feeling of being filled by his lover, and soon, was meeting every inward thrust with a bucking up of his hips. A pace was set, and as Kouga moved faster and deeper, he came closer to his second orgasm of the night. His need for release became desperate and soon, he was panting, trying hard to get some much needed friction from their melded bodies. He again arched his body up getting as much contact as he could.
Kouga too was getting close and feeling his lover arch into him, he knew what needed to be done. He moved one hand and wrapped it around the throbbing erection of his lover and began stroking it with still-lubed fingers. Soon, the up and down motions on Bankotsu’s length were matching intensity with the thrusts he made into the tight body below him. Several more strokes and thrusts later, Bankotsu came again, crying out “Gods Kouga!” More of his white sticky essence erupted over both of their stomachs and Kouga’s hand.
The intensity of the orgasm caused Bankotsu to involuntarily tighten his inner muscles around Kouga’s shaft, and that gripping was all Kouga needed to reach his climax. He came, giving a loud howling moan as he pumped his hot load deep, filling his lover. Once he was totally drained, he collapsed and rolled off to Bankotsu’s side, and the two lay there gasping to breathe, clinging to each other’s sweat-drenched bodies. Bankotsu curled up to Kouga’s side and placed an arm over this lover’s chest and sighed. He was feeling quite good, all remnants of the earlier events faded away.
Kouga too decided that the earlier events were no longer that important. As long as his lover was not seriously injured, he could relax. Although he REALLY loved his new sports car, it could be replaced, whereas Bankotsu couldn’t. This realization made Kouga sigh and he cuddles closer to boyfriend. Soon, both men’s eyes started to droop, and in mere minutes, both were asleep, wrapped in the warmth of each other’s embrace.
Owari
