Misery, Revenge, Denial

Chapter 1

His hair, so soft like silk almost, yet thick and hard at the same time.

She moaned, the sound radiating out of the depths of her throat, almost as soft as the hair in which her hand was currently exploring.

His touch, his hands, doing such wonderful things to me.

Another gush of warmth and heat radiated upwards from her rapture, the sensitive area in between her legs.

His mouth, so warm and full of love, making love to my own.

Her eyes opened, to stare into the eyes of her lover, those deep red orbs shining with passion and intensity. Those same red eyes stared into her own deep blue orbs, orbs filled with a needing and desire that only he, Naraku, could fufill.

Perhaps relunctantly, he broke the kiss. It would not do for his new lover to suffocate from a lack of oxygen. And, it allowed him a moment to speak, a chance for him to do his favorite thing, teasing and torturing people with his mouth.

"Did you like that, my little miko-san?" asked Naraku, his voice hot with heat.

"Ohhh yes Naraku, that feels so good," replied Kagome, the raven haired beauty resting against the futon as the demon lord continued his minstrations.

A smile tingling his lips, Naraku removed his fingers from her opening, stopping the pumping action he had been undertaking, and removed his hand from her private areas.

Why did he stop?

A moan of protest was her ownly outward, vocal protest though, despite her own inner mind now reeling with thoughts of wanting to continue.

"Tell me, what do you want most, my little miko?" asked Naraku, his voice now laced with a slight demanding and yet at the same time amused tone.

"Revenge," replied Kagome, simply and straight to the point.

"Ku Ku Ku, you already had your revenge, remember?" replied Naraku, his mind once again savoring what he had seen through her eyes.

Kagome too remembered what she had done, and oh boy, how sweet it had been...

***(Scene Shift - 1 week ago)***

It had been a month since they had last seen Kagome, a month since the death of Sango. They had given the demon exterminator a proper burial, alongside her comrades in the demonslaying village. In the absence of her former master, Kirara now swore her allegiance to the slayer's love in life, Miroku. The cat would not leave his side, even when he wanted time alone to think about, to come to grips with, her death.

But one who would leave him alone, in order to think about what had happened, would be Inuyasha himself. Despite what he had heard, and had seen with his own two eyes, he still could not believe that Kagome was evil. He refused to be believe that Kagome had done the things that it seemed that she had did.

It was like the situation with Kikyo, all over again. Kikyo, who had stolen half of the completed jewel from Kagome and him to give to Naraku. She had an ulterior motive however, and that was to send Naraku and the jewel into the depths of hell.

If Kagome had an ulterior motive, even if it did involve the death of Naraku, in no way would killing Sango justify the ends to her means. That was just going far, way too far.

Perhaps Kagome regretted doing so, perhaps that was why she had been hugging Sango's body, weeping uncontrollably, when they had arrived upon the scene.

"Ah, I think I have it," spoke up the little Kitsune at his side. Inuyasha snorted in response, not even throwing out one of his usual 'Kehs' when the Kitsune thought that he had a solution or an explanation to a problem at hand.

"The reason that Kagome killed Sango was so that she could steal her soul, which was pure, and absorb it into her body, thus increasing her spiritual powers. Then she would be able to break through Naraku's barrier with her sacred arrows," said the Kitsune, sounding almost proud of himself for coming up with the explanation.

Three seconds later, Inuyasha's hears could pick up the faint sound of the little fox demon landing back into the forest some distance away, being too stunned by the multipule fists smashing into his skull to transform into his bubble mode while he was still in free flight.

"Keh," muttered Inuyasha aloud, this time using the word as his fists were still balled up.

Although...

Shippou's theory would explain why Miroku couldn't sense Sango's spirit, her soul ascending when they laid her into the ground for a peaceful eternal slumber. He said that her soul was still somewhere on the planet, trapped. One of the vows that he had made was to free her spirit, wherever it may be...whoever may have it.

NO!

The other side of his mind protested. Kagome would never do something like that, not the miko that he had sworn to protect, that he had fallen in love with, that he had traveled with.

The most painful thing was, he actually believed what he had seen when he had saw it. He'd had a long and hard habit of taking what he saw with his eyes as what was actually happening or had happened. Surely there was more to this than what met the eye.

A sudden gust of wind ripping through the tree canopies startled Inuyasha. He shielded his eyes for a moment, before pulling his arm down.

And there, standing in front of him, on the same tree branch as him, was Kagura.

"Kagura...witch of the wind...Naraku's servant, what do you want with me?" Inuyasha asked, his tone unusually formal, even enough so that it suprised even him.

Kagura took a moment to recover from his formal tone, not at all like his usual brash self, but then she reminded herself that Sango was dead and the woman Kagome was with Naraku, although he, Inuyasha, only thought of her as missing.

"Naraku has sent me to deliver a message to you. He says that he has the miko, Kagome, in his possession. If you want her back, then you will need to travel to the cauldron of Mount Fuji. If you do not arrive by nightfall, Kagome will be killed," said Kagura, before departing again on her feather.

Leaving Inuyasha alone with his thoughts, dwelling on what to do. After some time the hanyou took off into the forest under the afternoon sun, leaving Shippou, who had recovered and stumbled upon their conversation, scratching his head.

***(End Scene Shift)***

"Yes, Naraku-sama, I remember..." sighed the miko, the memories crossing through her mind in many ways much more pleasurable than what the demon was doing to her body right now.

Speaking of which...

She could feel his cold but soft hands again on her body, one hand gently cupping one of her pale breasts, while another again bid it's way in between in her legs and began to massage her soft folds, a moan escaping from her mouth as he did so.

"You remember, as do I. For I watched what you had done. And it had been so satisfying to see you gain your revenge, so sweet..." murmured Naraku, his own private areas starting to swell as he thought of her peformance.

So masterfully done...that even he was impressed...

***(Scene Shift - 6 days ago)***

With a few more bounds and leaps, Inuyasha had made it up the top of Mount Fuji, coming to a rest on the rim of the cauldron, just as the sun set into the distant horizon, casting the mountian into darkness.

Darkness, that was broken only by the glow of the laval pools below him at the base of the crater. A soft, but also thick black smoke wafted up into the air, obscuring whatever lay on the other side of the cauldron and also clogging up his nose with the smell of smoke, erasing his sense of smell.

Yep, definitly a prime location to set a trap. I should just find Kagome and get out of here as quick as possible. If Naraku pursues then I will battle him, but only once were away from the cauldron.

His ears perked up when he heard a distant call, one that he recognized instantly, one that he had heard far too often in it's sad state to mistake. The call echoed off of the walls of the cauldron, but was distant, and sad, almost a pitiful whimper.

"Inuyasha..." came the voice of Kagome. Cupping his hands around his mouth, he proceeded to reply to her.

"KAGOME! WHERE ARE YOU?" he shouted into the oily blackness. His ears were on full alert, trying to detect which way her true voice was coming from. The next time her heard her voice, it had come infused with the emotion of sudden hope, Kagome believing that he had come to rescue her.

"Inuyasha! I'm over here! Please, come help me!" the cry of the miko came to him.

Over there

Having determined where she was, Inuyasha leapt through the smoke. Coughing and hacking from inhaling the ashes of the volcano, he made it though, his eyes, even hurt by the few burning embers, staying open and locked onto the form taking shape.

Finally, he broke through the smoke.

And suddenly, Inuyasha couldn't breathe.

For standing there with Kagome, was Naraku. No, not the bamboo pelted monkey Naraku, not the fake prince Naraku, but the real Naraku, clad in his armor with tentacles hanging from his back and wavy hair blowing in the breeze. Kagome was standing next to him. Gone was her school uniform, replaced instead with a dark kimono with entricate patterns dotting it from top to bottom.

But it was the expression on the miko's face that shocked him the most. She did not appear sad, or fearful of the one standing next to her. No, her eyes shifted from Naraku, from which they had held love and passion for him, to lock with his own eyes, from which now appeared hatred and venom. She opened her mouth, and uttered a single word.

"Sit," came her voice, full of as much venom and hatred as her eyes showed. Inuyasha's head turn downwards as the beads began to glow, and for the first time noticed the boiling pool of lava beneath his feet. As the beads began to pull him downwards, he looked back up into Kagome's eyes, and managed to mouth, but not say, the one word that was on his mind...

Why?

Then he was gone, descending without a yell or scream into the lava pool. When he hit he was gone in an instant, sinking into the magma. The one last look they had of him was his right arm, stiff, catching fire before it too, descended into the lava pool.

***(End Scene Shift)***

Hmph, why? Why indeed. For everything that he had ever done to me, for every time he had gone against me. After I thought he was in love with me, he goes and betrays me.

Kagome's mind was once again simmering with heat and anger, although the heat was in part generated by Naraku's massaging and feeling of her body. He picked her up and gently laid her down on the bed, again capturing her lips in a heated kiss.

He gently spread her legs apart, and lowered his waist to position his shaft above her wet pussy. Perhaps sensing what she was thinking, he spoke out.

"Forget about that half breed. He can berate and harm you no longer. I shall protect and love, in ways that he never could," muttered Naraku into her mouth, generating as much warmth and protection as a man of his nature possibly could, almost to the point where he threw up in her mouth, the warmth of his words generating bile in his throat.

"Yes...Naraku-sama...my lover," said Kagome in response. Stubborn, she pushed the thoughts of her revenge aside, and relaxed into the bed, focusing only on her lover and the loving that she was about to recieve...

***(Scene Shift - Present time)***

Finally, after what had seemed like an eternity, they reached the cauldron of Mount Fuji. He had battled numerous demons, Kagura, Kanna, and more to get to this point, his companions helping him as much as he could.

Miroku looked out among the pale black smoke emanating from the crater and called out the name of his friend.

"Inuyasha! Inuyasha! Where are you?" called the monk, his eyes scanning the crater. He turned to Shippou, who was standing next to him.

"Can you smell or hear anything with your demon powers?" asked the monk, his voice becoming laced with concern.

"No. The smoke is too much for my nose, and I can't hear anything at all," said Shippou, his voice mirroring Miroku's own concern.

Kirara though, started to descend into the crater, detecting something usual near one of the lava pools. Miroku watched the neko cat start to descend into the cauldron.

"Kirara?" questioned the monk. The cat turned her head back, and mewed, gesturing for him and the fox to follow.

A few minutes later they had reached the edge of one of the lava pools. The heat was intense, Miroku having to put a small barrier to ward it off of him, Shippou, and Kirara. But his eyes and mind would not work as he saw what laid before him. Possibly having washed up during a minor disturbance, sat Inuyasha's badly burned sword, the Tessaiga, the sheath having almost totally been melted. And still floating in the pool were several pieces of firerat cloth, the remains of the half demon's clothing.

I knew it, I knew it!

The monk berated himself over and over again.

I should have warned him. I didn't know they would come for him.

He had suspected that Naraku would use Kagome to get to Inuyasha. The miko was evil, and was working with Naraku. That was the only explanation Miroku had come up with for the deaths of both Kohaku and Sango. How or why Kagome fell, he did not know. But she had been controlled in the past, only to break free of her own will.

No, it had to have been Kagome's own will to allow her to kill Inuyasha and Sango. His wind tunnel hand formed steadfastly into a tight fist. The tears and crying of Shippou invaded his thoughts, and he knelt down to draw the kit into a tight embrace.

I swear to you, on your graves. Inuyasha, Sango, Kohaku. I shall avenge your deaths, by killing Kagome...and Naraku

He had made the vow. Now, he only needed to carry it out.

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've done any writing at all. Well, due to popular demand, I have decided to continue the storyline arc of "Pain, Hate, Suffering" into a new story.
