April Fool for the fools
Chapter 1:
"Hmph. I hope Inuyasha won't be too mad at me, but this is the day when pranks are allowed and forgiven." said Kagome, merely letting her thoughts travel through her voice than talking to anyone in particular.
She stuffed the trick bag of potatoe chips into her backpack, and with that her preparations were complete. It was time to travel back to the Feudal era and enjoy a day of fun and tricks.
If only she knew what she was in for...

Inuyasha's ears perked up as he sensed her presence returning through the well. He got up and walked over to the entrance, just in time to catch the yellow backpack flying through the air. Moments later, his beloved miko pulled herself up over the rim of the well entrance, and settled onto the ground.
"Hi guys, did you miss me?" she asked coyly as the gang gathered around.
"Yeah yeah. Did you bring us any treats?" inquired Inuyasha as he started digging into her bag without a moments notice. Miroku and Sango both sighed, and waited for Kagome's inevitable explosion at being ignored and forgotten. But they were in for a suprise.
"As a matter of fact, yes I did Inuyasha. In the other pouch." replied Kagome, smiling nearly from ear to ear and positivley beaming. The hanyou was still too busy rummaging to notice her expression, but Sango and Shippou both backed away while Miroku pulled out a host of sutra charms, perhaps believing that the miko had been possessed.
The hanyou found his prize, and held up the bag of potatoe chips triumphantly. Then, with Kagome still smiling, and 'brimming with, anticipation?' thought Miroku, Inuyasha tore open the bag.
Only to have a white powder blown straight into his face.
"Hey, what th....ACHOOO!" sneezed the half dog demon as his nose inhaled the sneezing powder. The first sneeze was quickly followed by several more. Both Sango and Miroku wondered what was going on, but Shippou hid a knowing smile at what had happened.
"Hee hee, april fool's day Inuyasha!" exclaimed Kagome, bursting into a big smile as she watched the still madly sneezing hanyou.
"April fool's day?" asked Miroku as both he, Sango, and Shippou looked on in confusion.
"Oh, I guess you didn't have it back then. But in my time, there is one day of the year when it's okay to play tricks on other people and get away with it. In our time, that day is today." explained Kagome.
"Achoo...Ka...Choo....go....Choo...me..." muttered Inuyasha as his cheeks flushed red in both anger and embarrasment.
"Heh. Sit boy." replied the miko. The sutra beads obeyed their master and promptly flattened the hanyou into the ground.
"Come on, let's get to Kaede's hutt, where I'll pass out the rest of the treats." said Kagome, picking up her bag and walking away. She was quickly followed by a duo of humans and a fox demon, all laughing their heads off at the funny sequence of events.
"Why does she do that to me?" asked Inuyasha of no one in particular, now in a depressive mood. Getting up, instead of following the others to the village, he took off into the forest, searching out a particular person to lay his problems on....

"So you see, that's what happened. Now I want to be able to get back at her, and if possible, not have to worry about the beads in the process." Inuyasha settled onto the ground as he finished his explanation.
"I see..." replied Kikyo as she sat next to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"Of all the people, I would expect Shippou or Miroku to do such things to me. I trust her the most to be loyal to me, so to have her do something like this..." he started to explain, then trailed off, looking to his ex-lover with meaning.
"I have a solution that should satisfy both of your needs. Stay where you are, and don't move an inch." said Kikyo, brining her hands together to pray out a spell. Inuyasha obeyed, and gasped when the sutra beads around his neck first glowed, and then came apart, heading off into the forest.
"Ohh...thanks Kikyo. Now I can get my revenge..." muttered Inuyasha, blushing slightly as he thought of what he would like to do to Kagome to get a little payback.
"That's just the beginning..." replied the dead priestess, with a smile forming on her lips...

Kagome was in the hutt, having passed out the treats, when suddenly she was enveloped within a strange glowing light. Miroku and Sango both picked up their weapons in apprehension, while Kagome and Shippou both looked confused.
Then the light faded, and everything returned to normal. Except for one little detail...
"Kagome, your neck..." observed Sango. Kagome looked down, and saw a necklace of sutra beads resting on her shoulders.
"What the....."
