A New Journey
A/N: Hi there!! This is YallRCrazy!! I’m not a new fanfiction writer per say!! Just to the IY fandom!! So please be nice!! Lol also I’m looking for a Beta! So if you want you can just contact me!! ^_^
Also, I have no decided if there will be Lemons in here! That said it may change later on to involve lemons, but at this point there will not be, AND the title.. is a work in progress I may change the title later, if you can think of a better title I am SOOO open for suggestions and you will get full credit if I decide to use your suggestion.

Summary: Naraku has been defeated, and the Shikon No Tama is almost complete. Kagome goes through the well for a few days for relaxation before graduating High school. What happens to Kagome, when someone from her past seeks her out in Modern Day Japan to warn her that there is a bigger threat to the Jewel then Naraku?

Ch. 1
She closed her eyes and counted to ten in her head. This was not going as she wanted it to go. She slowly opened her eyes and sighed inwardly. He was still there.
‘What does he want now?’
“Inuy-“
“Don’t use that tone with me wench. You are not going and that’s final!” How could she possible think of going? Everyone was feeling good since Naraku had been defeated. Sango and Miroku had come back from properly burying Kohaku. He himself had not felt so alive and so free since killing the man no demon that killed his first love, Kikyo.
He watched as she again closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead.
“Inuyasha… I have to go. You know this.” She started calmly. She quickly continued when he looked to interrupt. “It’s only for a few days. We don’t have anything in our way now that Naraku is dead. There really is no hurry.”
“What the hell do you mean no hurry? Wench, the quicker we get the Shikon No Tama back the quicker I can become a full demon...”
He continued but she blocked him out. It hurt her to know that he still wanted to be a full demon. Didn’t he know that she loved him for who he was? Was her devotion to him not meaning anything to him?
“Inuyasha…”
He never stopped as she spoke. He continued on ranting about becoming a full demon and being at his best.
“Inuyasha…” she again tried this time more urgent. She sighed when he still did not stop.
“Inuyasha… SIT BOY!” She smiled as she felt and heard the familiar sounds of the Hanyou falling ungracefully to the ground. She looked down in the Inuyasha sized crater and sighed.
“I’m really sorry Inuyasha… but I have to go, this is important to me. I promise I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
Without waiting for him to speak she took off on her bike towards the old Bone Eater’s well.

Kagome smiled as she softly closed the door to the well house. She stopped as she looked around her home. She smiled softly as memories of her life played through her mind.
Now that she was graduation, which was a miracle onto it’s self, she and her mother had been discussing or rather arguing about whether or not she would stay in the shrine or go on campus or what? What with her going back and forth in time her mother argued it would be better for her to stay. She somewhat readily agreed. But at the same time Kagome wanted her own space.
“Oh ‘Gome, your back!” Kagome smiled as she heard her brother speak.
“Yea Souta I’m back. And no Inuyasha is not here with me.” She said as she saw his hopeful look shattered to a sadden expression.
“Why doesn’t Inuyasha-nee-chan come with you anymore?” the youth asked.
She smiled a sad smile and patted his head. “I don’t know Souta… I’ll ask him next time.” She said hoping that her lie would soothe the boy. Sure enough it did for he had taken off back into the house yelling to the other occupants that Kagome was back.
Kagome sighed as she felt horrible for lying to her brother. It wasn’t that Inuyasha didn’t want to come, it was that she always had to “sit’ him to even come, and thankfully he wouldn’t come unless she had not showed up at the time she had told him he would.
She adjusted her yellow bag and began to make her way into her house on the mission to do some long awaited laundry.
She opened the door and smiled slipping off her shoes.
“Mama… Ji-chan? I’m home.” She called out.
“Oh Kagome you are home. Souta was yelling something but I was on the phone.”
Kagome smiled as she turned to face her mother who was wiping off her hands on a towel.
“So, Inuyasha let you come home for your graduation?” her mother inquired.
Kagome smiled. “Something like that.” She said.
“Oh isn’t he just the nicest boy you’ve met.” Her mother said with a twinkle in her eye.
Kagome sighed. “Oh mama… I’ve got to do some laundry.”
Her mother smiled and nodded. “You’ll have to see if your brother is done with his laundry, I think he said he was done.”
Kagome nodded and hugged and kissed her mother in greeting, and then took her yellow bag and made her way upstairs.

Kagome smiled as she put away the last of her laundry in her closet. She slowly sat down on her bed and brought out her year book. She opened the book up and smiled as she read all the normal “we did it!’ and “I will soooo miss you next year”. It was amazing to think that she was graduating and on time.
She had missed a lot though especially during her senior year. She missed senior pictures, which thankfully they let her make-up, because she also missed the make-up day thanks to her Ji-chan and his lovely reasons. She missed the senior trip, which was a trip to Kyoto. She really wanted to go to that as well. And she missed her Prom. She wasn’t as upset as her mother was about that, but at the same time she was upset those were the memories she should be able to have and share. Now when her friends talked about all the things they did in Kyoto, she just smiled and nodded.
She was brought out of her musings when her brother walked into the room.
“Souta, you know you can’t just-“
She was cut of as he handed her the phone with a big grin on his face. “It’s Hojou.” He said almost too sweetly for her tastes. She sighed and made a face which got her bother to giggle. She thanked him and took the phone.
“Moshi-Moshi this is Kagome?” she spoke into the phone trying to make herself sound cheerful.
“Oh Kagome-chan… I see you are feeling better. We were all worried that you would not be able to make graduation tomorrow. Your Ji-chan told us you had a foot fungus thing.”
Kagome frowned. “Yea... about that…” she never got to finish as Hojou began anew.
“Well anyways, your friends and I were wondering if you wanted to come with us tomorrow after graduation.”
“I would love to-“Again she was cut off. Damn you Hojou.
“That’s great Kagome. Well I’ll see you at graduation.” And with that he hung up.

Ok so there’s ch.1 I could have kept going but I didn’t want to! My hands were getting tired. Lol so anyways let me know if I should continue this.. I know nothing REALLY exciting has happened. And I know Sesshoumaru has not sown up yet… but don’t worry he will!! ^_^ other than that R & R
