Chapter ONE

Spring is a peticularly beautiful season, and with the Host Club of Ouran High School, it is a time for celebration.
The founder and president of the host club was a flamboyant boy named Tamaki Suoh, he was refered to by many other name. (mainly by the host club members) He was a second year class A, and labeled the 'Princely type' of the Host club.

Vice president of the Host club was the third son of the Ohtori, the shadow king, also refered to as the demon king. Second year class A. His charming facade was only used when something was to be gained, or so he says. He is in charge of the clubs finances and is noted most for his level head, he is the club's 'Cool type'.

The first members of the Host club were none other then the Hitatchin twins, Hikaru the oldest and Koaru the calmer of the two. Both First years class A. They live in a world consisting of 'us' and everyone outside their world is 'not us', but this simple idea was put into question by one Haruhi Fujoika. She had been able two see which twin was the other, causing them to doubt their own thoughts. She had become apart of their world, and the eldest Hitachin had grown a crush upon our unknowing first year. These twin trouble makers are known as the 'Devil Type'.

Mitsukuni Haninozuka was next to be recuited by the ever joyous Tamaki Suoh. He goes by the name 'Hunny' and has a lolita type disposition, but when angered or sleepy can revert to the darker version of himself. He uses his childish charms to gain many treats from the customers of the Host club and the members themselves. He is third year class A. He is the 'Lolita-shouta type', he is rarely seen without his stuffed bunny 'bun-bun'.

The silent protector of Hunny is none other than the silent Takashi Morinozuka, also refered to as 'Mori' for short. He has a loyal heart and is ever faithful, he looks out for the well being of Hunny even when the older boy doesn't appreciate it. He joined the club on his own when Hunny had been persuaded to become a member. He is a third year class A. He is the 'Wild type' and is rarely seen without the sweet natured Hunny.

Haruhi Fujoika did not join of her own acord or was even recruited, infact it was an unwilling deal. She had accidently broken a vase worth more then she had in money and so was 'persuaded' into joining the club only to for the club to realize she was female soon after. She is a cool headed and smart girl, having matured fast despite her age. The Host club members protect her and her secrect with an extreme feircness, that leaves her in a dilema of being put out or appreciative.

This story is one of many trials and tribulations as a new member and new problems take place. A normal day is a rare thing for our young Host club members.

Today was a nice day for Haruhi, well if she ignored the identical mischeif makers, odd and over zealous king, demon king and over active Hunny. Spring was in full bloom and all things were calm (excluding host club members) for once she had high hopes tomorrow would be the same, but if wishes came true her debt would have long been paid off, but it seemed it was actually growing.

A bad feeling crept up her spine as she thought about the near future, and the Host members seemed to share her unease.

Something big was going to happen, and soon. It would change their lives forever.

In Kyoto a fifteen year old girl had just finished a mission cost her two years of her life, (making her thirteen in this story when her journey started) but no matter what she would never wish for those years back. Those were something she would constantly remember and she would treasure. Even in the bloodiest of battles or the toughest of times she never wished she could have been normal, because she would have not met such great friends as she did.
Her heart mourned that she could not have stayed with them, but it was not meant to be.

Kagome Higurashi was had full filled her destinee that had her running around in the past, but now she was meant to live in the future where as all her friends were hundreds of years out of reach. She would have liked the time to adjust to the normalcy of her life, but once more fate wished to use her favorite play thing.

She now had to pack for something or other. Her mother had said that a dear friend of the family's was requesting to see her, having not in years. Why would he even want to in the first place?

As she finished packing the last of her things she desended the stairs to voice her question to her mother.

Making it to the kitchen she took a seat at the counter to wait for her mother's attention. When the middle aged woman finally took notice of her daughter she smiled and wiped her hands on her apron as she sat at the counter herself.

"Kagome did you want to talk to me about something?" The older woman asked in a sweet tone.

"Yeah, um actually there was...that friend of yours...Why does he want to meet me? I mean he could just come over and see me instead of me going to spend time with him...it just doesn't seem very logical." She reasoned to her mother, whom intern sighed.

"Well Kagome, there was a bit of a problem...while you had been in the feudal era, the shrine had become deep in debt especially with all the supplies we had to purchase for you..." Kagome winced at the mention of her part in their debt issues and her mother noticed.

"Oh, no! I am sorry Kagome, its just...its true...and well your school had also called... your trips had caused one too many absences, and the school thought it best that you not attend their accademy...So when i talked to him about this, well he offered to take care of all this...his only catch was that you had to transfer under his care, so in essence Kagome he is adopting you into his family..."

Kagome was taking the news exceedingly well, but her mother supposed one would when you had delt with more pressing issues such as you are the reicarnation of a dead miko and have a jewel with immense powers lodged in your side.

"How can this guy pay for all this?" It had been the only question Kagome wondered about as her mother explained the situation.

"He is a very wealthy and succesfull man...you are going to be living with him until you graduate, and he has half legal custody of you...I signed the contract...the shrine is also his property now, but it will remain the same its just legalities dear...I don't know where we would be if he hadn't taken care of us..."

"I understand your decision, though I am not all too happy with it, what you did must have been hard and I respect you for it..." Mrs. Higurashi smiled and hugged her daughter tightly.

"You remind me so much of your father, its almost painful when I look at you, its almost as if he is the one staring back at me...You have grown so much..." Kagome just held her mother as the older woman cried into her shoulder.

The young teen said nothing and only allowed silence and her presence comfort her mother, and it was all she needed.
But things soon wouldn't be so simple as this, very soon.

The next day found Kagome dressed casually in jeans and a sweatshirt as she said her good byes and brought down her luggage. Her hair having become naturally straight over time was held out of the way by a low pony tail, her blue eyes held age and wisdom that contrasted greatly with her youthful face. To most she was beautiful, to herself she was average nothing more.

"Mom, You never really mentioned what this guy's name is..." Kagome pointed out as she placed the duffle bag and back-pack by the door.

Mrs. Higurashi snapped out of her mother mode when her daughter told her of the mistake she had made. It would have been a large embarrasment had her daughter not know the name of the man she was going to be under the care of.

"His name is Hagane Haninozuka*, he is a strick, but childish man. He told me that while you are living with him there will be certain rules and he will explain them when he sees you."

Before anything more could be said a car horn interupted the family's good-byes. Kagome gave a quick hug to all three family members and a pat for Buyo before she picked up her belongings and left the a proud mother in her wake.

At the bottom of the shrine steps Kagome was slightly stunned to see a Rolls Royce parked on the side of the street, a man in a black suit stepped out of the car and came around to open the door with a small bow.

Her face became blank only her twitching eyebrow showed her slight agitation. 'Does this guy have to make a scene? He could have just sent a cab...' Already a crowd was begining to gather and questions were asked.

The driver never once answered with his expression unwavering, only when she stood
infront of him did he move. The buzz grew as she got into the car and he closed the door. She was glad the windows were tinted as she sunk low into the seat.

When the driver finally got into the car and began to drive she felt relief washing over her in immense waves, soon all this would be over. Giving the driver a glance she didn't even bother talking to him, she figured with the reaction he gave the crowd she wasn't likely to get an answer out of him.

She was glad that today was a school day because other wise there would have been more of an uproar and more looks. So ignoring the driver she stared out the window, watching as the shrine became smaller and smaller.
Some how a feeling of having been sold like a piece of property filled her. Her fingers played with the thin chain that dipped into her shirt, never taking her eyes off the passing scenery.

Hunny of the Ouran Host's club was talking animately with many of the Host club customers only to stop when a cheery ring tone began playing.
The oldest Host pulled out a small pink bunny phone with a matching bun-bun keychain. Smiling politely he excesed himself to aswer his cell phone, all Host club Members giving a curious glances.

"Hello?" He asked in his cheery voice.

"*Hello Mistsukuni, this is Papa. I wanted to speak to you before you came home, today someone special is coming over. So when you get home I want you and your brother to come into my office, can you tell Yasuchika?*" The awed face Hunny was giving became, childishly serious.

"Of coarse Papa! I'll tell Chika! I can't wait!" The joy the rabbit lover was displaying leaked into his voice, causing his father to chuckle.

"*Good, I will see you when you get home then, Bye-bye Mitsukuni.*"

"Bye-bye papa!" With that the conversation ended and the extremely hyper and cheery Hunny returned to the club with a wide smile.
All the young girls were curious as to what Hunny had been talking about, infact who Hunny had been talking to was a mystery. Mori whom had left silently with the older boy knew infact who he had been speaking with, but remained quiet.

The rest of the day had went by too slowly for the anxious Hunny, so finally when classes were over he darted to the Karate dojo to talk to Chika.

The younger Haninozuka wasn't very pleased to see his childish older brother, but with some 'persuasion' from Satoshi he greeted Hunny. The two began fighting and as soon as it started it was over, with Hunny once more the victor.

"So what is it that you want?" Chika openly displayed the venom in his voice, earning a whack from Satoshi.

"Papa wants us to come straight home and head to his office, he wants us to meet someone." Hunny was openly showing his excitement. Chika looked a bit stunned, their father had never made them cancel practice before. His curiosity piqued the youngest nodded and went to cancel practice for the day, all the while wondering what kind of person they were going to meet.

Kagome gave a stared in awe at the massive building before her, it made her look like an ant. She shook her head to clear her childish thoughts before walking to the front steps and ringing the doorbell, an elderly maid answered.
As the maid ushered her in she felt a welcoming feel wash over her before the maid bowed deeply.

"Master has been waiting for your arrival, allow me to show you to your room then I shall bring you to the master's study." The maid gave another bow and began walking at a fast pace.
Kagome kept up with the womans suprising pace very well.

The teen was stopped infront of a white door when the maid began unlocking it before finally opening the door wide. Her blue eyes widened; the room was bigger then her living room!

"This will be your room, and across the hall is Master Mitsukuni's room, if there is ever anything you need, all you must do is press the press the intercom button." The maid smiled as she said this. Ungracefully she dropped her bags before once again chasing the maid down the halls.

She was soon left in front two large oak doors. 'What if he is one of those bastardish old geezers? no! Mom would befriend a guy like that! Would she?'Shoving down her fears, she knocked on the door. 'You have to see the good in people! There is always good!'

Before she could think any further on the subject the doors opened, and her feet began moving forward. She stopped infront of a rather large desk, the massive chair in front was turned away from her. Growling to herself, she finally spoke.

"Good After noon Haninozuka-sama." She bowed deeply even though he couldn't see it.
The chair spun around to reveal what looked like a twenty-year-old man, he was smiling. His blonde hair fell in front of his friendly gold eyes.

"Hello Ms. Higurashi! Please have a seat, my two sons will be in at any minute." She sat down in one of the three chairs before his desk.
She fiddled with her necklace a bit more, but stopped when he spoke.

"You know I actually pictured you much differently, your mother didn't give a description of you so I had imagined you to look similar to what she used to in her middle school years." He laughed at her confused expression.

"What did she look like?" Kagome was curious as to what her mother had looked like then having never seen any pictures. Hagane laughed again.

"Ah, no offense, but she was a bit different. She had been a bit chubby and wore many accesories. She hadn't cared about anyone's opinion. That is what I had liked about her. All your mother had said in description is that you had a strong spirit and you were overly mature for your age. I must say you surprised me...you look nothing like your mother did!" Kagome was blushing slightly, but said nothing.

"You actually look like your father...your eyes, their just like his...I feel like I am talking to him." Hangane's voice was slightly reverent as he spoke.

"I have been told that by many people, I never knew my father, all i do know was I am his bastard child. He died before I was born and had gotten my mom pregnant without even marrying her. I don't have any memories of him so I can't judge him." Hagane had a certain look in his eyes as she spoke.

"You even talk and act like him..." This was mumbled low, but she caught it.

She felt slightly uncomfortable being compared with her dead father, but hid it. She never knew the man, but in her opinion he was just a man who was dead. She had never met him, she had never even seen a picture of him. Almost everyone of their family friends new about him and had something to say about her looking like him. From what she figured many people liked him and he had men and women falling for him when he had been alive.

"Excuse me, Haninozuka-sama, but my mother told me that you would like me to know some of your house rules..." Hangane blinked a bit before nodding.

"Oh yes, and please just call me Hagane-sempai, or Hangane! Anyways, the rules of this house are simple, you are to attend Karate, judo and Kendo, or train with one of my sons." Kagome's eyes became wide, that was all? No 'your room needs to be kept' or 'no parties', where was the structure.

"I am an easy man, the classes you take will teach dicipline enough. I also expect you will do your best in classes, and if there are any problems or needs you will come directly to me or my sons." Kagome nodded just as the doors behind her opened. Two similar looking boys walked into the room, one with a straight face and glasses, the other with a smile and a bink bunny under his arm.

"Ms Higurashi, meet my two boys, Yasuchika and Mitskuni." Kagome stood and gave a small to each.

"Boys, this is miss Higurashi, she will be attending Ouran with you in her first year of high school. She will also be living with us, she will be following the house rules just as you two must." Both boys nodded.

"Since she is still a beginner Mitsukuni, you will be teaching her Martial arts." The boy with the toy bunny nodded.

"That is all, for now I would like it if you get aquainted with Miss Higurashi."

"Un, Haninozuka-san, may I ask a question?"

"Yes Miss Higurashi, you may."

"May I be registed as a male...?" Hangane blinked before nodding, her request was an odd one.

"Thank you very much." She bowed deeply before following the two boys out. Hangane couldn't help but think back on Touru Higurashi, he had been similar when he had first met the man.
