The Beginning of a New Life

Chapter 1

Their has been a saying which has lasted for hundreds of years and that is ‘Two Different Beings Can Never Become One’. Though not everyone believed in that, there are some which believe it can happen. In this time and this place on the graceful planet known as ‘Earth’ lives two completely different species. One is humans a being who can live for a short time but can work hard to survive. The second is the demons a being who can live on forever and only use their power to survive. Demons had always thought of themselves far more superior than human’s. They think humans are weak and foul creatures but to humans they think that demons are nothing but monsters.

In a world which are inhabited with two completely different beings can make a world of phenomenon. Though there is another species which aren’t as common as humans and demons. No they are hanyou but mostly called half-breeds, the child of a demon and a human. There are humans which are disgusted by them and that is the same with demons. Of course that leads to the beginning of this story.

This story is how a ordinary human girl and a demon lord become together like no one had ever imagined. The girls name was Rin and she was only nine years old, when a demon lord by the name of Sesshomaru had revived her and saved her from death.

It was a beautiful sunny day, the sun was out their where no clouds and the temperature was just right. Rin always loved it when the day was sunny and their wasn’t anything on her mind. She had been waiting by a big oak tree in the western forest. Sesshomaru had told her that he was going to patrol around the area because he had a feeling someone was following them. Jaken was told to say with Rin in case anything happens. Jaken disliked having the human around he found her annoying and irritating. He just didn’t understand why his lordship would allow a mislay human girl to come along.

“Master Jaken when do you think Lord Sesshomaru will be returning” Rin asked him. “Why are you asking me, he will be back when he comes back you foolish girl” Jaken replied. Rin sighed she had been waiting for who knows how long now. She wanted to get up and look for him but she knew that Sesshomaru would get angry. Rin never wanted to make him mad, so she just sat their not moving at all. “I wonder why he left like he did” she just asked herself, Jaken just rolled his eyes.

They then heard some rustling coming from the bushes and trees, Jaken ran in front of Rin. ‘If anything happens to Rin I’m a dead toad’ Jaken thought to himself. Rin was standing and holding onto Jaken’s left sleeve. The rustling got louder and they where both slightly shaking until they saw a pair of black shoes followed by some white pants walked into the clearing. It was only Sesshomaru “where leaving” was all he said. Sesshomaru wasn’t a very social person he said a rare few words. The only time he would ever say a whole sentence was when he told Jaken to do something and when he would fight his half-brother Inuyasha. Rin was lucky to get a few words out of him but that was only when Jaken wasn’t around.

“Lord Sesshomaru what was it that you had to go see” Rin asked him why walking along side. “Precaution, that is all” he told her, “oh okay then” was all Rin said. They had been travelling for three days straight since Sesshomaru made sure no one was following them. He wasn’t feeling uneasy anymore which was a good thing for now. Sesshomaru wanted to make sure everything was safe for Rin’s protection. It had been a whole year now since Rin tagged along on their journey. Since then Sesshomaru had become very protected of his young ward and made sure nothing happened to her. He wasn’t quite sure why he allowed her to come along with him. Their where many opportunities he could just dump her in a human village with her kind.

They had come upon a few humans which would try and take Rin away from him. Saying it is wrong for a human child to be around a demon. Sesshomaru would not allow them to take her besides Rin didn’t want to go with the humans. Knowing full well they where human just like them but she preferred being with her lord and Jaken. She had met Kagome and found her very nice and interesting. For some reason though she felt that being with another human wasn’t normal for her. It was as if she had forgotten what it is like to be around her kind since she had joined Sesshomaru. For some reason though she didn’t really care because she wanted to be with Sesshomaru forever.

Rin was nine now and Sesshomaru knew that soon she would be going through some changes quite soon. He was abit worried if Rin would ask him what is happening to her because he wasn’t really in that information department. When the time comes their was one person who he could think of which could help her. He only knew that a human girls body starts changing but he had no idea that a female human had a time of the month thing. So that would deffiently be big surprise for him.

“My lord” Rin ran up to Sesshomaru “what is it” he said back to her still facing forward. “Well I was wondering why do girls have those big round things right here” she asked him pointing to her chest. Sesshomaru stopped in his tracks he couldn’t believe that she had just asked him such a question. He knew what they were but how to explain it to her, he was the lord of the western lands not a body type describer. When Jaken heard the question that Rin had just asked his lordship he could see a stern look on his lords face. “Jaken” he heard his name being called “uh yes my lord”. “Answer Rin’s question” he told him, “uh uh yes milord” Jaken replied. Rin walked up to him and waited for Jaken to tell her.

*Cough* “well how should I put this um in every females life humans and demons they go through a stage where a sort of change occurs at the front, when a female reaches a critical age, two um round things form on their chest” Jaken was feeling really uncomfortable telling her this. “Master Jaken do they have a name” she then asked, a sweet drop rolled down the side of Jaken’s face. “Well I actually don’t know” in honest truth he hadn’t had a clue what they where called. “Master Jaken will I have them” Rin asked him, “well I guess you will have to wait and see” Jaken replied. “So when I reach a cri…ti…cal point I might have the to” Rin said to herself.

About three months went by and Rin was starting her first time of month. She had cried when it started and Sesshomaru decided to go see Inuyasha’s human girl. At first Inuyasha didn’t like having his older brother in his village but Kagome just told him to SIT and that did the trick. Kagome had explained everything a young girl should know when their body starts changing and Rin was at that age. When Kagome told her how each girl goes through a certain month cycle it was a bit hard for Rin to take in. After a while the young ward got use to everything and slowly understood. Kagome had given her some things that Rin could use when she was going to have her weekly period as Kagome called it. Rin was very grateful and thanked Kagome before she headed of again with Sesshomaru and Jaken. A week past and at last Rin’s period had ended which she was very thankful for.

A whole year went by and now Rin was 10 years old and she started to notice her body changing abit but she wasn’t worried. She was told that when she got older her body would change so it was normal. About a month ago the small party of three including Ah-Un returned to Sesshomaru’s castle in the western lands. It was the first time Rin had ever been at her lords home before. Sesshomaru had told Jaken to take her to one of the spare chambers in his home. When Rin saw her new room it was so beautiful, their was a large bed with lovely silk sheets. She sat on it and it felt so comfortable it was as if she was floating on a cloud. The silk sheets felt so nice and the pillows where so soft. Their was a large cupboard with very fine flower carvings on it. Their was a lovely dress table with a mirror framed with the same sort of flower carvings as the cupboard and a chair.

She noticed that their was a balcony and their was two glass doors which lead out onto the patio. In front of the glass doors was a beautiful lace curtain on each side. Rin walked over and slid both curtains to the side and the opened one of the glass doors. She walked out onto the balcony and went up to the railing and looked over it. The view was amazing it looked over the lovely garden on the castle grounds. Then over the castle walls and out onto the lands which her lord ruled over. The land went on for miles and miles as far the eye could see “its so wonderful” Rin said to herself.

Even though Rin was only 10 she couldn’t believe how lucky she was to be living in such a lovely home. She then saw some people working in the garden, when she noticed that they all had pointy ears she knew they must be demons. Rin was not afraid of Sesshomaru or Jaken but she wasn’t quite sure about the demons which worked in the palace. Though no matter what she knew that Sesshomaru would protect her like he had always done.

Sesshomaru was in his study looking at some scrolls which had been placed on his table. It seemed to be concerning a certain matter over in the eastern lands. It happened to be ruled by a fire demon by the name of Lord Chensu who was a dear friend of his father. “Jaken” he called out and the small demon appeared by his door rather quickly. “Yes milord”, “I am going to the eastern lands to visit Lord Chensu” Sesshomaru said standing up and heading to the door. “I will accompany you” Jaken was about to follow when his lord stopped him. “No you will stay here and keep an eye on Rin until I get back” he told Jaken. “Yes milord” he watched Sesshomaru walk down the hallway.

When Jaken told Rin that Sesshomaru was going away for a few days she was rather upset. Rin never liked being separated from her lordship for to long. So she decided to wipe her tears and wait until he returned.

Over in the eastern lands:

Sesshomaru arrived at Lord Chensu’s castle as always he was welcomed with opened arms. Chensu had always supported Sesshomaru ever since he became the new ruler after his father died. Though Sesshomaru was always his cold self Chensu was completely different he was kind and caring but when he was on the battle field he would be a different person. Chensu had ruled over the eastern lands before Sesshomaru’s father became the ruler of the western lands. He had been ruling his lands for hundreds of years and was the eldest ruler out of all the four lords all together. Lord Kazu ruled the southern lands and Lord Harushi ruled the northern lands.

“So Sesshomaru how was your trip you didn’t run into any danger did you” Chensu asked him. “No and if I did I would kill them” Sesshomaru told him “ha ha my you haven’t changed at all since the last time I saw you” Chensu told him. They sat down at a table in Chensu’s library “enough with the talk what was so urgent Chensu” Sesshomaru asked him. This time Chensu got more serious. “I have heard new that you have brought a human into your home” Chensu started. A frown came upon Sesshomaru’s face “and what if I have” Sesshomaru asked, “you know that I don’t care that you have taken in a human but I know that the other lords will think differently” he replied. “Sesshomaru if I were you I think it would be wise for you to get rid of this human other wise who knows what will happen” Chensu told him. “What I do with my belongings is none of their business or yours Chensu” Sesshomaru said getting rather agitated right now.

“Sesshomaru if you let this human live with you and a female one at that, their will be many who might think that you will be following the same mistake your father made, if you care for this human you would be wise to take her to a human village where she will grow up with her own kind, if she stays with you she will not be safe just think about it” Chensu told him. Sesshomaru stood up and walked towards the door but he stopped before he opened it. “Chensu I have no intention of making the mistake my father made” he then walked out. “I just hope you know what your doing for that girls sake that is” Chensu said to himself.

Sesshomaru walked out of the castle gates and headed back home to his lands. He knew that the other lords would not be pleased by him bringing in a human. That however was none of their business on what he does. He had promised himself that he would never fall for a human like his father did which brought him to his down fall. The only reason he kept Rin was because he chose to their was no other reason than that.

Well that is my first chapter I hope it was alright.

Don’t worry this fic is deffiently about Sesshomaru and Rin and the next chapter will be about when Rin is a bit older. Then things will start to get interesting so stay tuned for the next chapter.
