Forever and Always

Kagome pulled her hair above her head and secured it with a plastic clip. She eased her naked body into the hot spring. Her mind was filled with the events of the past few days. She had been shot with one of her own arrows, and kidnapped by Kaguya. The Moon Witch then tried to steal her body, Naruku faked his own death and was once again at large. And then there was Inuyasha. She nearly lost him as the demon in him struggled to break out. Her kissing him had been a desperate try to bring him back. She remembered how her heart soared as Inuyasha gently returned her kiss, and held her close, softly promising to remain a Hanyou for her.

She winced as the hot water lapped at the deep puncture wounds on her arms. Inuyasha didn’t seem to remember what exactly happened during those terrifying moments. He didn’t remember Sango trying to break the mirror, didn’t even remember attacking Miroku, much less grabbing her arms, his claws breaking into her skin. She wanted it that way. She didn’t want him dealing with the guilt.

Kagome sighed as she imagined the kiss again. For a few hours, she’d foolishly believed that she and Inuyasha had taken a few steps forward. That, however, was proved wrong when Inuyasha had in no uncertain terms, made it clear that the kiss meant nothing to him.

‘God I’m so stupid.’ Kagome thought. ‘Inuyasha’s heart belongs to Kikyo. He’s never gonna forget about her. I love him so much, but… He’ll never love me.’

Kagome slide down further, allowing her tears to mix in with the spring.

Inuyasha watched Kagome from the branch of a tree. He knew that if she saw him, he was gonna get a ‘sit’ from about thirty feet up. Right now, he didn’t care. Despite his adamant denial this morning, Kagome kissing him had been the most wonderful thing he had ever experienced. Looking into her eyes, he could see how much she cared for him. She truly believed he was fine the way he was. No one else, besides his mother, had ever accepted him as a Hanyou. It was then that he realized how much he loved her.

Looking at her now, she looked as much like the celestial maiden Hojo had described her as. His ears easily picked up the conversation that he and Shippo had while he and Kagome sat by the fire. He managed to hide his smirk from Kagome when he heard Shippo make Hojo his servant. He might be an annoying brat at times, but Inuyasha had to admit the young fox demon had his moments.

Inuyasha turned his attention back to Kagome. She suddenly looked so sad. Not caring that he was probably about to get better acquainted with the ground, he leapt down from the tree to go to her side.

Kagome gasped, covering herself as Inuyasha landed gracefully in front of her. She was so surprised at his sudden appearance, the thought of sitting him didn’t even occur to her. Inuyasha was silent as he stood and walked into the hot spring towards her. Reaching down, he held out his hand to her. Kagome hesitated a few moments, and realized he’d seen her naked before. What the hell? She placed her hand in his, and allowed him to bring her to her feet. The water traveled down her body, yet Inuyasha’s gaze was fixed on her face.

“Are you alright?” Inuyasha asked.

“I’m fine.” Kagome said.

“Why were you crying?”

Kagome looked away. “It’s nothing.”

Inuyasha touched her chin with his fingertips, gently turning her gaze back to him.

“I know you Kagome. Tell me what’s wrong.”

“It’s just… I… I’m in….” Kagome couldn’t get the words out. Why was it so hard to tell him that she loved him? Even if he didn’t love her, she had to tell him the truth. He deserved that from her.

“I love you, Inuyasha.” She whispered, bracing herself for his rejection.

Inuyasha pulled Kagome to him, holding her tightly against his body. She looked up at him, eyes wide as he pressed his lips to hers. Inuyasha molded her lips to his, one arm wrapped around her waist, the other reaching up to her hair, removing the clip, freeing the dark locks. Kagome gasped as Inuyasha’s tongue moved across her lips, begging for entrance. She slowly opened her mouth and shuddered as his tongue brushed against hers.

Inuyasha’s heart leaped as Kagome slowly began to respond to him. Her arms moved to wrap themselves around his neck, her hands burying themselves in his silver hair. Inuyasha tightened his grip on her, pulling her even closer to him. Eventually, the need for air was becoming too great to ignore, and they broke the kiss, gasping to pump air into their lungs.

Kagome looked at Inuyasha, her eyes searching his. He smiled at her, reaching up to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear.

“I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to realize this, Kagome.” Inuyasha said. “But I love you too.”

“What?” Kagome said.

“I love you Kagome.” Inuyasha said again.

“I thought…” Kagome whispered. “I mean, you and Kikyo…”

Kagome’s doubt hurt him, but he could hardly blame her. How many times had he run off to chase after Kikyo, leaving Kagome alone?

“I’m gonna be honest with you, Kagome.” Inuyasha said. “Yes, there is a part of me who’ll always care for Kikyo. But what I felt for her is nothing compared to how much I love you.”

“But, why me?” Kagome asked.

“Kagome, before I met you, no one besides my mother ever accepted me for who I am. People in the village didn’t, Sesshoumaru certainly never did. Not even Kikyo accepted me. She wanted me to become human.

“But then you came. And even though I acted like I couldn’t stand you, I wanted to be close to you. Your heart was so strong. I could tell how afraid you were, but you never gave up.”

Tears began to fall from Kagome’s eyes. “Inuyasha, you’re so sweet.”

Inuyasha grinned and moved to kiss her tears away. After he did that, he quickly captured her lips in his again. Kagome put her hands on his shoulders, returning the kiss. As Inuyasha placed his hands on her waist, Kagome suddenly remembered that she was naked. Her heart began to pound as Inuyasha’s hands traveled up her body, coming to rest at the curve of her breasts. He broke the kiss, this time to look into her eyes, silently asking for permission. Kagome placed her hands on top of his and guided them to rest on each breast.

Inuyasha molded Kagome’s breasts, feeling her nipples harden beneath his palms. He bent down to kiss the tip of each breast. He lifted her into his arms and carried her out of the water. Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Inuyasha briefly returned the kiss and then laid her down in the soft grass before standing to take his robes off. Kagome’s eyes widened at the sight of him. He was huge, and already hard and ready for her.

Inuyasha held her in his gaze. Her wide, innocent eyes were fixed on him. Her wet skin was glistening in the moonlight, her raven hair framed her lovely face. The scent of her desire assaulted his senses, and he dropped to his knees, straddling her hips. Bending down slightly to place his forearms on either side of her shoulders, he kissed her lips gently. His hands traveled down her arms, coming to rest at the scratches. Inuyasha pulled away to gaze at the wounds. Frowning, he realized where they came from, and he gazed at her with guilt filled eyes.

“Oh, Kagome.” Inuyasha sighed. “I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t be.” Kagome whispered. “I know you’d never hurt me on purpose.”

“I don’t want to ever hurt you again Kagome.” Inuyasha murmured. “I want to protect you, always. I want you with me, forever.”

Kagome’s breath caught in her throat. “What are you saying, Inuyasha?”

“Be my mate, Kagome.” Inuyasha said. “I want to make you mine, and I wanna be yours. Let me perform the mating ritual.”

“What’s that?” Kagome asked, sitting up.

“We would… well, we’d have sex.” Inuyasha began. He was silently praying that Kagome would accept him as a mate, but didn’t want to force her into anything she didn’t want, or understand. He’d tell her everything first.

“I’d bite your shoulder, just above your heart, and you would bite me back, in the same place. The mating mark will appear, and we’ll be joined.”

“What do you mean by joined?”

“You would have demon qualities. You won’t become a demon, or even a hanyou, like me, but your senses would be stronger. Your life expectancy will become as long as mine, you would live for several centuries. Once you’ve reached to adulthood, you’d never age another day. Our live will be linked. If one of us dies, the other will follow them in death. And you and I would always be able to find each other.”

“What about my family?” Kagome asked. “Will I still be able to see them?”

“Yes. As long as you hold a shard of the Sacred Jewel, time will always be open to you. But remember, your life would be longer than theirs. You’ll watch your family go long before you do.”

Kagome thought about what Inuyasha just told her. Looking into his golden eyes, she knew there was no other answer.

“Let’s do it.” She said.

“Kagome, are you sure?” Inuyasha said. “You do this with me, there’s no going back.”

Kagome placed her hands on Inuyasha’s face. “I love you. I want to spend forever with you. I’m completely and one hundred percent positive. I want to be your mate, Inuyasha.”

Inuyasha kissed her deeply, gently applying his body weight to hers to push her back to the ground. He broke the kiss, moving to leave a trail of kisses down her neck. Kagome gasped and moaned softly as Inuyasha continued to move down her shoulder to her breast. He nipped the sensitive flesh with his sharp teeth, making Kagome cry out in pleasure. Inuyasha ran his tongue around her breast, encouraged by Kagome’s soft whimpers. He nuzzled the valley of her breasts with his nose before applying the same torturous attention to the other one.

“Inu… yasha…” Kagome gasped. “Oh, God… Oh… love you…”

Inuyasha moved down her stomach, letting his tongue caress her skin, his teeth nip her hip bone. Kagome trembled as Inuyasha breathed in her scent at her most private area. Inuyasha let his tongue slip inside of her, delighting in the sounds coming from Kagome’s mouth.

Kagome could hardly deal with the sensations Inuyasha was causing her. A fire was swelling inside, threatening to spread throughout her body. Inuyasha slipped two fingers inside her and began to pump his hand as his tongue continued to stroke her. Her muscles tightened, and she began to pant faster.

Inuyasha could smell Kagome’s approaching orgasm, and he quickened his motions. Kagome breathed faster, her cries were now coming in rhythm with his hand. Kagome suddenly screamed as she found her release, her juices flowing into Inuyasha’s mouth, her muscles clenching and releasing around his fingers.

Inuyasha moved to lay on top of her, and kissed her deeply. As his tongue danced with hers, Kagome could taste herself, and that thought somehow added to her desires. Kagome wanted to repay Inuyasha. She had learned a thing or two from her romance novels back home, and, filled with a sudden confidence, she pushed Inuyasha onto his back, and quickly pinned him.

Inuyasha’s eyebrows raised at Kagome’s actions. She smiled at him before leaning down to kiss his chest.

“It’s my turn to be in charge.” She murmured. Kagome kissed Inuyasha’s chest, slowly making her way down to his stomach. She licked his navel, making him hiss. He began to growl impatiently as Kagome continued her slow path. She looked up to gaze at him impishly.

“Patience is a virtue, Inuyasha.” She teased.

“Screw virtue.” Inuyasha growled. “You know me better than that.”

Kagome chuckled and continued on her path. Just when Inuyasha thought he’d scream from her torture, she obliged him. She took him into her mouth, sucking gently. Her hand grasped his length just below her lips, and she began to move her hand and mouth, taking in as much of him as she could. Inuyasha began to tremble, and he propped himself up on his arms so he could watch her. Her brown eyes stared at him as she continued to suck on him, her hand beginning to pump harder and faster. The strength in Inuyasha’s arms gave out, and he collapsed onto the soft grass.

“Ka… gome…” Inuyasha was gasping for breath. “God that feels so good…. I love you… Kagome…”

Kagome smiled, but didn’t move away from him. Inuyasha’s heart pounded in his chest as Kagome moved even faster still.

“Shit… Kagome… I’m gonna…” Inuyasha grasped at the blades of grass, twisting and tearing it in his hands. “Kagome, I’m gonna come!”

Kagome nipped the tip of his shaft and that was all Inuyasha could take. He looked down at her to see her swallowing his seed, and licking him clean. She then made a show of her licking the rest of his seed of her fingers. Inuyasha growled, and with lightning speed, he seized her arms and pulled her to the ground, lying on top of her. Reaching down, he grabbed his shaft and guided it to her entrance. He hesitated. She was a virgin, and he knew this was going to hurt her. That was the last thing he wanted to do.

Kagome reached up to caress his face. She kissed him quickly and leaned back. “It’s okay, Inuyasha. It’s only gonna hurt for a few seconds.”

Inuyasha nodded, and as gently as he could, he eased himself inside her. Kagome winced, her fingernails digging into Inuyasha’s back, but the tension eased quickly and was replaced with a feeling of warmth and pleasure.

Inuyasha began to pump himself gently inside her, his eyes never leaving hers. The same tightness Kagome felt earlier was already starting to rebuild, and she moaned as Inuyasha bent down to kiss her neck. He began to thrust harder, causing Kagome to pant and moan. Inuyasha’s hand traveled down her arm, taking her hand into his, lacing their fingers together. He guided their hands to their joining, both their fingers rubbing against Kagome’s clitoris. The sudden pressure brought forth Kagome’s second orgasm, and Inuyasha pumped harder wanting to make this one last for her.

“I’m gonna bite you now.” Inuyasha said, his self control hanging by a thread. He couldn’t climax until they had marked each other, and the feeling of Kagome’s muscles pulsing around him was threatening to push him over the edge. “When I do, bite me back.”

Kagome ran her tongue over her teeth and was surprised to find her incisors had grown to twice their normal length. She didn’t have time to wonder about this, as Inuyasha sank his teeth into her shoulder. The pain was mixed in with so much pleasure that it cause another orgasm to wash over her, and she quickly let her teeth puncture Inuyasha’s skin.

Inuyasha chocked out Kagome’s name as he found his release, spilling himself inside her. Exhausted and spent, he slowly withdrew from her. He reached down to grab his robes and used it as a blanket to cover them both. He wrapped his arms around Kagome, pulling her close.

“That was so incredible.” Kagome whispered, still breathing hard.

“It was.” Inuyasha said, kissing her temple as his fingers played in her hair.

“Are we mated now?” She asked.

“Yeah.” Inuyasha said, running his fingers over her mark. It was still a little red, but the bleeding had stopped. Kagome ran her fingers over Inuyasha’s mark, smiling as she felt her senses heightening. She could hear the gentle breeze rustling the leaves high above them, she could smell the water from the hot spring. She could also sense Inuyasha’s feelings, and the love he held for her brought tears to her eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Inuyasha asked, concern for his mate lining his voice.

“Nothing.” Kagome said. “Everything’s perfect, Inuyasha. I’m so happy.”

Inuyasha relaxed, and made himself comfortable on the ground. Kagome rested her head on his chest as she allowed sleep to claim her. Inuyasha smiled and inhaled her scent.

‘I’m happy too, Kagome.’ Inuyasha thought as he began to drift off. ‘I promise to keep you happy too. Forever and always.’
