Prologue
“Master, I have news that may interest you,” a man with light-blue hair bowed low waiting for his Master’s reply. Another man with light-gray hair turned his head to examine his subordinate. He watched the man’s dark blue robe sweep the ground while he remained bowed. The armor on his shoulder gleamed in the firelight. The light blue hair on his head was pinned back in a long ponytail, revealing his pointy ears. No other part of his face can be seen due to the darkness of the room. The Master’s thoughts reflected on the numerous occasions that this man, still bowing before him, questioned his authority. The Master’s face sneered and he slowly returned his gaze to the fire in the center of the room.
“This better be worth my time, Amos.” He hissed.
Amos slowly rose to face his Master, “I believe it is.”
A pause.
“Well get on with it!”
Amos smiled. “Well, Master apparently we have a guest from the realm.”
A surprised gray-haired man flashed his eyes to Amos’s face. His slightly fearful yellow orbs focused on amused orange ones.
“Is it HE?
“No Master. But it’s someone else who has left his side.”
The other man visibly relaxed. He looked away. “We could always use an extra man.”
Amos nodded.
“I am currently too busy. I’ve nearly completed my task to cause another war between the feudal lords. So I leave this matter in your hands, Amos.
“Yes Master, I shall go recruit her at once.”
“Her?” He raised an inquisitive brow. “Who is she?”
“Shamira, Master.”
A smile appeared on the Master’s face. “So she left him as well.”
